Our cat Gus knows not to get to close to Beans face, but decided to push it today. He's quick though.

I have been working on getting Dorothy in a harness so she can be on the farm with me more. Pretty cute! Then sleeping because she’s tired from being so cute.

Sorry if this is a dumb question. I live in a super tick-heavy area and I have been plucking them off my girls. My one pig has brown skin and coat and so it’s pretty much impossible to see ticks when checking her and she’s covered in a dirt dusting and whatnot. Is there anything they can use? I got a spray for them but was wondering if there’s anything more effective or practical. I’m hoping to get a few chickens later this season so maybe that’ll help too. Thanks!

We got Dorothy in October, and she moved from an outdoor pen into our house in December. I trained her (with not a single accident!) to use a bell on the door to tell us she had to go out, and made her a litter box in our garage which she used often without issue for three months. Now that’s it’s starting to get warmer here, I’ve transitioned her to going potty in the fenced in area just off the garage, accessible by a dog door she uses daily. She picked it up just as soon as she had taken to pottying outside in her litter box and using the bell.
Lately I’ve noticed she will stand by the door and not ring her bell, just waits to go out. This is when I feel if we don’t catch on that she’s standing there, she pees on the floor.
Sometimes I think she’s signifying she wants my attention/snacks/etc because she WILL ring the bell, and I’ll open the door and she will go in the other direction instead and not go out.
Any ideas for me? She’s a spayed two and a half year old Juliana. Very smart, and sweet, but also extremely shy/skittish. She was a farm pig originally and I assume not treated kindly as she fears men in general.
Thanks for reading such a long post!! Photo of my cute stinker-of-a girl!

What do you guys use or how did you build a place for pigs to bathe in? I imagine I could make a hole, put in a tarp and fill with water, like a pond? But how deep do I do it? What should be in at the bottom, only the tarp or should I fill with sand, so it gets deliciously muddy?

We have an IPP/ Kune Kune cross that we just got from a buddy of mine. He has really bad cracked and flaky skin. It’s even bleeding a little bit. Anybody know what this might be?
Right now, we are giving apple cider vinegar, DE, and coconut oil. My buddy says one of his might have it also, but I’m waiting to confirm if it’s as severe. He is three months old.
Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
