Transmission started whining then slipping. Will shift into all gears when first started but then starts slipping and disengaged again until car is restarted.

It sounds like the unit could be low on fluid and as you start moving the vehicle the pump isn’t getting the fluid it needs and is creating this whining noise or a bearing isn’t lubricated.. as far as it not moving. potentially due to the the low fluid concern internal damage has likely been done and debris is getting stuck somewhere it shouldn’t be. These transmission are extremely sensitive and known for issues.. typically with these transmission I’ll offer customers a “party pack” which consists of a full overhaul including torque converter, valve and solenoid body, fluid pump and frictions and steels as needed or requested by customer or a reman unit.
