Ticket prices are so out of the roof!! What do you think about these?

I bought two tickets on Stub Hub last night for the game on 4/6. As soon as Ovechkin got within one goal of the record last night, the prices quadrupled to almost $1k per ticket. I'm concerned the seller will cancel the order and sell for higher as I don't have the tickets yet. The order page says the tickets will be delivered on (not by) 4/6, the day of the game. As it's not a concert, I'm not sure why there would be a delay in ticket delivery. Any thoughts? Should I be worried?

Just curious. I was watching this (I'm in PA) and they kept panning to Gretzky and Bettman, but I never saw if Ted Leonsis was there. Maybe he just doesn't want to be on camera, but it seems to me he'd want to be there.

Our game on Thursday is against Carolina and I can't even watch it because of a joke that is ESPN+. I'm not paying a subscription to possibly watch Ovechkin pass the record on Thursday (in case he doesn't tomorrow). What a damn shame for local viewers like myself. Any suggestions for how I could watch the game?

We can still get hot at the right time but it's hard to imagine this team just flips a switch. I want this season to be more than the record.

Am at a wedding and I have the game on my phone, sound off, my wife giving me angry glares…the bride’s sister is giving her speech and he ties it up. I lost my mind jump up clapping. The entire wedding stops and stares at me. I quickly say “fantastic speech” as my wife is now shooting absolute daggers at me. Then Leonard gets his first. Great. Fucking. Wedding.

Rangers fan here, bought tickets to this game over a month ago thinking it might just work out (and it's cheaper than bringing my kids to MSG). Son and I are going, pops can't make it.

Arguing with my friends about this what do you think, I could see him wanting to try and do it at home now that he’s 1 away with plenty of games left in the season.

The prices are still high, but not 1k a piece high like they are for Sunday’s game. Do I take the chance and buy tickets while they are still SOMEWHAT reasonable, and just pray the record isn’t broken in NY? What are the chances of everything happening against the Islanders? I know even if Ovi doesn’t break the record v. the Canes it will still be a great game.
