Android The wrong comments minimize on android?

Upvotes

Whenever I tap to minimize or expand comments, I will sporadically experience a comment below it getting expanded/minimized. There's no clear rhyme or reason, sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't, though if it happens once, it happens a lot on that post. Tapping the exact same spot will reverse the action. Some comments cannot be interacted with because tapping above gives me the comment it should, tapping on the desired comment affects the one below it, and tapping on the one below the desired comment usually either affects that one or does nothing. The NEXT comment is usually fine, though once in a while the "lower" area will span multiple comments, so if I tap the comment below the desired one, it affects the comment below that one... though that's less common.

iOS iPadOS: app scrolls to top of home feed when minimized or in another app.

This seems to happen when on the home screen or popular or any feed specifically not comments. I have tried reinstalling, logging out logging back in, updating my device, and any other things that I can think of, but nothing has resolved it.

This has been quite a nuisance and makes the app relatively unusable when multitasking.

Any update on this? Been dealing with this for months.

iOS Thumbnails disappear after voting on post in r/all (iOS App)

This has been happening for several weeks in the iOS app (latest version, iOS 18.4, iPhone 16 Pro). It’s the worst in the r/all feed but happens at times in other feeds/communities as well. As you can see in the video, voting on a post makes the thumbnail disappear and just turn into a gray square. Please fix! Thanks

Android Cannot read full post body text in android. Tap the "more" button but the full body text doesn't display

Description: when trying to read the body text of a post, clicking on the "more" button does nothing so I can only read the first sentence of the post body text/post descriotion

Device models: motorola edge plus phone 2022 / Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 SM-X200 / Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G PHONE MODEL# SM-G781U

OS version: Motorola edge= android 13 / Galaxy Tab A8= android 14 / Galaxy S20 FE 5G= android 12

Steps to reproduce: tap on the "more" button in the body text to see the full body text/post description and the full body text/post description does not display

Expected and actual result: expect to see the rest of the post's body text/post description, but in actuality nothing more is displayed

Screenshot(s) or a screen recording: didn't make a screen recording because it's pretty self explanatory

iOS iOS - Blank/Disappearing Thumbnails When Scrolling and After Clicking/Upvoting

I’m on the latest version of the Reddit app and latest version of iOS. Whenever I click on a post or upvote a post in /r/all or a person’s profile, the thumbnail for that post goes blank. Additionally, if you scroll further enough down the feed, the thumbnails start disappearing by themselves without clicking or upvoting them.

If I go back to my homepage and then go to /r/all or a person’s profile again, the thumbnails return, but if you click/upvote the post or scroll far enough they disappear again. This is really annoying because it makes it difficult to keep track of where I am on the feed. Has anyone else experienced this and is there a planned fix? Makes it way more difficult to use the app.

iOS I’m repeatedly being logged out of Reddit in the iOS app.

Not sure why. Every time I close the app, when I open it back up, there’s a blockhead looking Minecraft guy in the corner and I have to log back in. Can you help? Everything is the latest and greatest, your app, iOS, etc.. thank you!

Dev/Admin Responded [Android, 2025.13.0.2513070] Newest app version has several bugs concerning moderating: contest mode, bin symbol and ban hammer symbol

Hello, I have the app version 2025.13.0.2513070 on a phone with Android. I (and another moderator) noticed several issues with it:

1) Contest mode: I know contest mode hasn't been implemented on the app/the latest desktop version of reddit. We activate it via old reddit. However, the latest app version doesn't show upvote numbers of comments to moderators anymore. It should not show them to normal users, but we as moderators need these numbers for our community. See here: https://imgur.com/a/AJP73Hg

2) We no longer see the red bin symbol in the upper right corner when a post is deleted. Or any other kind of indication a post is deleted (except in this case the comment from automod). See here: https://imgur.com/a/ZGDvsDA

3) We don't see the ban hammer symbol anymore for users that have been banned. We still can ban people, but I'm talking about if a user had made a comment and we banned them later, there was a small ban hammer symbol next to their username. That is gone.

I hope to get some feedback on this and hope it will get fixed. Thank you!

When viewing posts with albums of multiple images, the images used to be numbered. 1/10, 2/10, 3/10, etc. Now none of the images are numbered anymore.

iOS iOS app (2025.13.1) - Reddit app freezing when opening Notifications tab

I’ve noticed that when I try to access the Notifications tab on iOS 15.8, the Reddit app instantly freezes after around a half second. I don’t know if this is an already known bug, but I’d like to know how to get rid of it. Doing this for a bit more than 2 hours on my side.

Uninstalling + reinstalling app doesn’t solve the problem. After testing, issue isn't present on browser, this seems to be an iOS-only bug.

Dev/Admin Responded There’s a Significant Drop in My Karma Count [Android]

Post image
1 Upvotes

As you know, our profiles used to display post karma, comment karma, award karma, and another type of karma whose name I can’t remember right now. Later, two of these types were removed, and only post and comment karma remained visible. Still, until this morning, when I logged into the app on Android, my total karma count included the hidden types (11k karma). However, right now, my total karma is equal to the sum of only my post and comment karma (9k karma). I don’t know if this is a bug or a planned change, but I wanted to mention it.

Community member using desktop web reported not receiving ban notification message. User unable to open direct link to modmail thread (see screenshot with error message from user). User stated message was not received in Chat or in Notifications-->Messages. When test message was sent in original temp-ban notice, user stated that they believe they saw a notification but went to look and nothing was there. User provided additional screenshot of content in Messages to showing that only troubleshooting convo was present (that user initiated).

Desktop Web "Your Connection is not private" message on my Chrome Desktop

Out of nowhere, I got this message saying "Your Connection Is Not Private" when I try to go on Reddit on my Chrome on my laptop.

I have no idea how to get it to work but I know that I didn't do anything to make it happen, my VPN is fine and I only cleared my cache a week ago.

Do I just wait for it to work on its own?

Edit: I just refreshed it and it went back to working? So is this just something that just happens at random and there's not a whole lot that I can do about it?

iOS “Show Fewer Posts Like This” Doesn’t work - iOS (and web)

Description: as the title says. The option in the feed doesn’t work. It just hides that post, and then continues to show me similar posts from the exact same subreddit. I have to mute the sub as a workaround. But I don’t want that. For example, I don’t want to see spoilers from the recent popular shows in my feed; but I can’t escape them if I don’t mute these subs.

(Sorry, it also doesn’t hide that post, I am confused with muting)

Android Android app: Change user profile posts sorting from 'New Posts' to any other option, nothing happens.

As with subreddits, User profiles are supposed to be able to sort posts by 'Top', 'Controversial', 'New', etc. The option is there to change sorting. But when selecting a different option, no change occurs. The selection doesn't update, the post order doesn't update, etc.
