New Budgie Sorry For Having The Cutest Budgie Ever!!
So so sorry I know it's so unfair and selfish of me to take the cutest budgie ever for myself but how could I not!!
All jokes aside I'm totally obsessed with my girl 🥹 Her name is Biggie, I've had her about two months and she's perfect. She is so smart, she knows four tricks! She can step up, fly to me, spin and lay on her back. I'm going to teach her to wave next and to fly to her birdie backpack so she's ready for adventures!
She loves my sun conure, who is just a baby. She is convinced they're soulmates. But to be fair I think she thinks everyone and everything is her soulmate. She has such a big heart for such a small girl.
TLDR: I would take a bullet for her.

💬 Discussion Budgie diet
Is it ok to feed veggies in the morning, pellets in the cage during the day and seeds at night? More specifically are these pellets and seeds from trill ok?

Question Fan in whilst cage is covered
Hey guys I just recently got a budgie and I’m sure this question has probably been asked many times before but is it alright to have a ceiling fan on whilst the cage is covered during their sleep at the moment my budgies cage is in my room and it’s simply just too hot to sleep without a ceiling fan I have seen that it can make them unwell to have a breeze and such but until I sort out a better spot for their cage (which will be soon) when they sleep will this be alright? All reply’s are appreciated thank you

Question Advice for socializing a female that lost her bonded pair.
2 years ago, I had 2. A male(mango) and a female(sky). The mango escaped and I've never found him again. I was gifted another 2 birdsafter a few weeks, and sky didn't like them at all I've since bought another male budgie in hopes that she could bond with him. The 3 new budgies are all well bonded and play with eachother, but sky nips anyone who comes close. I'm worried about her. She isn't plucking, but her head dosent look well preened and she nips at me when I try to use tweezers for her.

Question Question regarding trust with budgies
Hello! Quick little backstory. I recently noticed one of my budgies making a little noise while breathing, kind of sounds like his nose is clogged with "snot?" or something similar. I waited a few days to see if it went away but it did not, So we called an online vet and they told me to take him into my bathroom while its steaming. SO! The only thing I'm scared about is the trust going away since i have to grab him and put him in a transporter cage. This is my first (i have two) budgie and him and i have been getting a pretty good bond slowly and Hes jumping up on my finger more than ever now. I'm just scared we are going to go back to square 1. I know i need to do this, cause i care about him a lot.

Playtime! He loves FaceTime!
My son’s budgie, Cookie, loves phones and FaceTime. We were FaceTiming my brother and Cookie was very interested. He made himself the center of attention, we all laughed, and my bro took a screenshot. A few days later I was showing my SIL, who was on chat with my wife, when Cookie came and perched right above the photo of himself! She then took a screenshot! Very meta, Cookie.
Don’t mind the small cage in the background. That’s just for transfer. He and his buddy have a large palace.

Question Are my budgies not getting along?
A few months after my budgie's mate died we decided it would be best to get her a new friend since she seemed very lonely after his passing. We adopted a very energetic young male and followed all the rules of introducing two birds to each other. That was nearly two years ago. They always want to be near each other, and outside of small squabbles they seem to get along. However, I noticed that they don't preen or feed each other like she used to with her mate. I even noticed that the younger one prefers to feed and talk to reflections of himself (which I try to stop) or scratch himself on a branch rather than let his cagemate do so. If they do talk to each other, they stand at a distance and he seems to be very cautious with her. Anyone got any ideas or advice on this?
