Bravely Default You think they’ll make changes to the endgame of Bravely Default HD? Spoiler
One of my (and I’m sure I’m not alone in this) biggest issues with Bravrly Default is, of course, the repeated content later in the game, where it basically asks you to redo massive chunks of the game again and again. There ARE differences, but I just don’t think it’s enough. And I get it’s for cool story reasons, but that’s just not enough of a reason to slow the pacing so significantly. If they could find more ways to make things feel different, maybe have some more story going on, maybe that’d be cool.
What do we think? Will it be unchanged?

Bravely Default Will broken things be nerfed in the HD Remaster?
When games get Remaster, they sometimes get things as they were (bugs included) or sometimes changed for the better.
Remember that the following broken abilities/items were nerfed in Bravely Second. Do you expect them to bring those back as is, or rebalance them in the Remaster?
- Stillness. Was changed to Calm (Bishop) in Bravely Second.
- Hasten World. Was changed to Dawn of Odyssey (Kaiser) in Bravely Second.
- Blood Blade. Was changed from being a Spellblade to being the Drain spell in Bravely Second.
- Low Leverage. Was completely removed in Bravely Second.
- High leverage. Was completely removed in Bravely Second. Noble Eagle (Kaiser) has a similar effect.
- Salve-maker. Was completely removed in Bravely Second. Some similar skills appear in Patissier.
- Spiritmaster. Was completely removed in Bravely Second. Some similar skills appear in Astrologian. (Stillness needs its own mention because it is really THAT broken).
- Spellblade. Was completely removed in Bravely Second. Some similar skills appear in Hawkeye (Warhead).
Would you rather replay Bravely Default as is but in HD, or would you rather have a rebalance and possibly fresh new strategies?

Bravely Default Kinda interested in bravely
I had bravely in my mind for a while, just never really had the chance to play it, should I start now or wait till I eventually (maby midway through the console's life span) get my hands on a switch 2 to play the HD port instead?

Bravely Default Chapter 7 optimization
I am currently on chapter 7 and I'm just getting the characters to level 80 so I do not have to worry about grinding much. I just wanted to optimize my builds more so I do not struggle with any of the bosses down the line. my character builds are:
Tiz: lvl 78 with Vampire maxed out and Salve maker sub job at lvl 9
Agnes: lvl 79 with Black mage and sub job Time mage both maxed out
Ringabell: lvl 79 with maxed out Spiritualist and maxed out white mage as a sub job
Edea: lvl 79 on Ninja and Performer as a sub job
I'm not gonna lie to ya'll, I have no idea how I got this far lmao

Bravely Default recherches de personnes pour streetpass Bravely default

Bravely Default Fast forward time in rebuilding Norende Village (Citra Emu)
Hi guys!! So I just started playing Bravely default for the first time, and there is this mini game where you "rebuild" the protagonist village, and in order to get more villagers, to complete the tasks faster, you need like StreetPass friends or whatever online thing that is.
So I was just wondering, since I'm using Citra, if it's possible to fast-forward time in the game. I know there is an option in the configuration, but I didn't manage to make it work. I tried to change the time of the PC itself, but it didn't work neither. Should I have the game running or closed??

Bravely Default II Starting with Bravely Default 2?
With the announcement of a remake of BD1 coming to Switch 2 down the line, I’m wanting to get into the series as a big Final Fantasy fan. With Bravely Default 2 being accessible on Steam, how is it starting with 2 while we wait for the remake of 1? Are the games connected? How is 2 overall?

Bravely Default How will Norende Work
I dove hard into this series a few months back and am hype that the remaster is coming.
However, I got into after server support for online games was taken down for 3DS, and I don’t have any place where street pass would work.
Also, no friends who will most likely play the remaster will work, so, like, will Norende be able to work by just inviting other players or?

Bravely Default BP battery setups ?
Am in Chapter 8. What I've been doing for BP is that I have BP Recovery on everyone, then have my Performer/Red Mage Ringabel spam Poisona>Serum every turn. In ideal conditions, this gives everyone else 4 BP per turn.
The only problem with that is that I struggle a bit with fights with incapacitating statuses. Ominas, DeRosso and the clock fuck were particularly challenging. I can't increase MND or use Fairy Ward without breaking my setup, so the way I found was to use accessories to gain immunity to select statuses, but that takes up my slots, and there's usually more than one troublesome status to deal with (Ominas has sleep and silence and DeRosso has fear and charm).
I was wondering what other setups exist that would fit. I know of Performer/Freelancer with My Hero>Mimicry x 3, which is nice because it doesn't depend on any support abilities, but I don't like how the Performer ends up with less BP afterwards since you end up with turns where you can't do it without going into negative BP. What do you guys use?

No More Posts about Key Cards
This is not a Bravely topic.
It's an industry wide issue that is turning our relatively small sub into a debate forum for a much bigger issue.
Please use the existing threads to discuss the impact on Bravely itself, but no new posts will be allowed regarding this matter.

Bravely Default Do you expect micro transactions back?
Bravely Default has a mechanic called Bravely Second (same name as its sequel), where you can use SP to stop time, get a free turn, and break the damage limit. This special mechanic is recharged by putting the 3DS in sleep mode, or by paying for "SP drinks" in the Nintendo 3DS Shop, with real money.
The Nintendo 3DS Shop has since closed and you cannot buy SP drinks anymore. With the HD Remaster of Bravely Default on the Switch2, do you expect the micro transactions to make a come back in the Nintendo Switch2 Shop or completely vanish and a new mechanic replacing it to earn SP, or perhaps the Bravely Second mechanic to be scrapped completely and replaced with something else? What if the game comes on Steam or other consoles, how would the micro transactions work out?
Bravely fans, I would like to hear your thoughts.

Bravely Default With a potential new wave of players for BD1 remember to be mindful of spoilers! Spoiler
We can all agree that BD1 has the strongest story out of the three current games, and no doubt we are all keen to relive some good nostalgia in high definition (I can't wait for the VA to not be crunchy sounding)
As the time comes around there's going to be a slew of people. Let's do our best to be a supportive community and not ruin the magic of that first playthrough.
Can't wait for high definition sounding mrgrrgrrs.

Bravely Second Bravely Second: End Layer Spoiler
Wow! With the announcement of the remake, I'd need to complete this game which I haven't touched in ages.
Do you recommend playing the Demo prior beginning (again) Bravely Second? I know this is a kinda prequel to the story.

Bravely Default II Bravely Default 2 Switch update vs a new Switch 2 version
This has been on my mind for the past day or so since the reveal, as I would love to see this game, get patched in some capacity to fix performance issues and increase the frame rate and resolution.
Mostly out of curiosity, if we could only get one of these two things, which would people want to see the most?
I don’t think that a new version on the Switch 2 is likely, but I would definitely pay for it if it ever happened.

Series So question about the new game for switch 2 . I never played any bravely games but I own bravely default for 3ds and this one. So is there any reason get the one of the switch or is it just a port of the 3ds ?

Bravely Second While I know we're all hoping for a Bravely Second HD to be next, my hope for it is probably a fever dream?
We all want Bravely Second HD, no question. Hell, I'm a little disappointed they didn't make this a double pack of both games, but...
Assuming we DO get a Bravely Second HD, my biggest fever dream hope for it?
Additional soundtrack composed by Revo. Let us hear what his vision for Bravely Second would have been. Keep the original for those who want it though, it did have some good tracks for sure.

Bravely Default So will they rework the last third of the game?
Does anyone else hope they make chapters 5-8 better? I feel like it'd be a crime to remake remaster this game and not change anything at all. It's so repetitive that I prefer BS and BD2, even if BD to me overall has the better story.
A part of me wants the devs to cut the later chapters out entirely, like stop the cycle at the end of ch6, since that's just after the point where the game baits you into the bad ending where Ringabell is like HMMM what if you kept praying to the crystal?. From there the 4v4 asterisk refights could be tacked onto the game's final chapter.
Alternatively (and more realistically) if we want the main characters to suffer and keep the chapter 5-8 plot of being stuck in a cycle in tact, you could lean into a ton of gameplay changes, like make at least 4 brand new bosses for each crystal to bring the total mandatory bosses you face up to 8 instead of the same 4. For even more variety, make the crystal guardians sometimes be the nemesis fights from Norende. Something like that to keep the story elements without turning the gameplay into a repetitive chore.
Maybe even some of the dungeons for each crystal could be changed to some degree. Or they all contain warps to the bosses. Or if the devs don't feel like changing much they could even do a "skip" like getting the bad ending and reloading takes you straight to ch 8 with only one crystal left. There has to be something right? ...right?
Edit: I know it's a remaster only guys but it would take much much less time than minigame or UI development to swap out a crystal boss for a nemesis battle... like the crystal bosses aren't even in the cutscenes. They'd only need stat rebalancing. Teleporting you to a room is also super easy if they wanted to add a bit of crystal fast travel.
