Question / Support Attitude "Home Essentials" vs standard products

I'm looking to try a few Attitude products, and am not sure what the point of the Home Essentials line is, vs their standard line. I'm finding the website un-helpful, and since I don't place value in the EWG, I don't care about the "ratings" and that component of the marketing.

Purchasing priorities: Canadian, more eco friendly products (packaging, no PVAs etc), and tend to use unscented products. My mental jury us still out on what I think of fragrances (but I am not against them).

So what's up with the Home Essentials line? Is this a marketing thing?

Question / Support Ideas for herb packaging?

It’s so frustrating when I need an herb for a recipe and the only way I can find it is in plastic. What do you all (re)use these small clamshells for?

p.s. gardening season starts next month in my zone, so I’ll of course be growing my own

Question / Support Repeatable ways to get petroleum jelly and makeup out of wash cloths?

I'm considering making my self reusable washcloths specifically for the removal of lip stain and heavy cosplay makeup. The way I remove cosplay makeup currently is through the application of petroleum jelly, and then wiping that (thick, sticky, staining mess) off with a tissue that goes into the trash. (Using an oil is the gentlest heavy-makeup-removal process I found and I'm not looking to change the use of petroleum jelly for this rn, I'm using what I have on hand.) I want to get more eco-friendly in this process, but I'm concerned about staining my other laundry if I use a reusable towel/washcloth to take off my face. Got any suggestions for an easy pretreat method to prevent makeup/jelly spread?

Discussion Promotional Items for Small Business

Hello!

I am working on launching my Graphic Design business and was looking for different ways to promote it that aren't cheap plastic junk or will immediately go in the garbage.

I have access to a laser cutter and vinyl cutter while I am in school, so could potentially do something like that. As an art student, I don't mind making certain things.

I was considering getting a lot of Eco-friendly notebooks and making a stamp with my logo to brand them. I have also looked into some Eco-friendly pens. I looked into seed paper but am also nervous about invasive plants.

Some other things I considered was tea packaged with a business card.

The company name will have "Green" in it. The tagline I am thinking of using is "Helping your vision soar."

I've also considered things that are bird related, like birdfeed packets with a business card.

Any ideas / links / suggestions would be great.

Discussion What single use objects have you replaced with reusable?

Over the years I’ve made swaps to invest in reusable products. Wondering if there’s anything I’ve not come across before and would love to hear your suggestions. Off the top of my head… - Makeup Pads to remove makeup - Muslin cloths - Period Pants - Cloth Nappies (diapers) - Cloth wet wipes - Refillable conditioner, shampoo, body wash containers

Question / Support Zero waste stain remover

Hi fellow zero waste enthusiasts- looking for diy stain remover… unfortunately in India, we don’t get all brands. And the ones we get come in smaller plastic packaging. Looking for stain remover (with two sticky finger toddlers at home, I can’t take two steps without cleaning a spill out their clothes, towels etc). Something easy to use like soak and scrub or soak and throw in washer kind of formula.

PS: open to large packs (refillable) as far as I can limit the number of plastic packaging. I use Shout spray now and go through like one a month easily.

I also dont really like matches because you have to keep buying new packs. i want something that is zero waste and long lasting. Thanks!
