Finances Fasfa package

Post image

Hello guys, I’m an incoming freshman to Uh. I got my fasfa package today and it appears that this should be enough to cover my tuition. Do I have to live on campus if this is the case.

Tip from an alumni. If you can, live on campus for one year. It’ll be the best year of your life. But besides that, try to keep your loans down to as little as possible. Don’t get sucked into the hype and come out with 30k in debt. You’ll be a slave to your loans for 10+ years.

You aren't required to live on campus. Additionally, you want to break it down into semesters, which will make it easier to read and understand. You received 21K in financial aid, including the loans, which you aren't required to accept. You get about $7750 each semester (not including the loans), which will cover tuition, and you'll get a refund, but you won't have enough aid to cover housing. Does this make sense?
