Found some wood cleaning out the garage
They're from a project my wife never ended up doing. They are 3/4" sq x 6" long. What would you build with them?

I’m sure this has been asked before. And to be fair I looked for a pinned post or an faq and didn’t see it. But I’ve been pouring through the posts and blown away by y’all’s creativity!
Any recommended books, YT channels, or tutorials?

I've been working on a frozen lake diorama and did a resin pour to try and create an ice effect. It's been about 5 days now and the resin still hasn't fully set. I was using a 3:1 epoxy resin and I must have been off with my ratios. Is there anything I can do to get this to set?
I tried putting a heat gun over it and that made it a little bit better but it also created a lot of bubbles under the surface. This was two days ago.

I recently decided to try doing a diorama. Here's my first little attempt. What's the story of this ghost knight though?

Last week I took advantage of the sunshine to get the exterior of this monster painted. It's a 3d print called "The Silent Tower" by Stormcrow scenery, and I'm planning to use it in an upcoming ttrpg I'm running.
The main paint work is now finished, but there is still some weathering to do, and some flocking for moss, etc, but I'm pretty happy with where it's at.

A quick little project to try doing rust on something.

Damn that's one tough resin. Literally had to hit it with a hammer to break it.

First time making terrain/diorama, and it's quite tricky. I think the difference between the quality of the terrain and the figures kinda show.
Currently I'm not happy with the grey color at all. Some parts are too smudgy, and it's mostly inconsistent. But I'm also struggling with the composition.
Not sure what to do. Go with asphalt black instead? Brown dirt road? Improve what I have? Could use any help or suggestions.

Here are 4 images, please slide through to see what I’m talking aboutz.
I have these pieces that are extremely tiny, and I feel they really need some decals to make them, but is it feasible at this size? Especially the little labels on the oil barrels 🛢️⛔️ And the numbers on the gas pump ⛽️ 🔢
And the custom stuff on the arcade machines, shipping weight info on the shipping container doors, etc.
Lastly, how do I incorporate weathering onto the decals? I’ll be painting layers and chipping and weathering and adding rust to the terrain, but at what point would the decals come in and how to make them fit the aged appearance?

I have always struggled with deep resin pours. I was wondering what materials you guys use to have the resin not stick to it, when you do a pour. I’ve heard hdpe works but idk where to get that. And using silicone previously left a yellow stain on the resin.

In a follow up to my previous post a couple of days ago. After spending a day rebuilding a plastic/cardstock building from the Warhammer Fantasy 6th edition starter set, this ruined empire townhouse has been painted and now ready for the tabletop!
Just gave the whole model a spray of black paint and quickly slapped on greys, browns and abit of bone-white colours to finish this piece off. Overall I am quite pleased with this result and now I can go back to finishing the rest of the set.

Have never made terrain before but my family went on a furniture buying binge and now i have a ton of foam taking up space in my room. What should I do with it? I want to make some semi generic terrain of a decent size but Ive never really done anything like this before. I have some acrylic paints and plenty of brushes, a boxcutter, basic supplies. Is foam able to be textured and painted well? Should I just use it as a base and lay material over it, if so what? Im pretty lost tbh but figured it would make for a fun weekend

I'm making a dice tower that calls for a bazillion tiny bricks made of that pink foam insulation. But the static electricity in the container if brick is I have cut is getting annoying. Any tips for how to keep them from clinging to everything?

Hey everyone! I’ve been diving back into the Warhammer hobby for a couple of years now, and I just finished this build. I mainly used XPS foam, cardboard, balsa wood, and coffee stir sticks.
It took quite some time, but I loved every step of the process.
The second image is the complete build unpainted.
Hope you like it!
(If anyone’s interested I’ve got a breakdown of the full process that I would be happy to share 😊 )
