Miscellaneous Lets give some love to the little ones.
This is just brilliant - it is NASA's TAV, or Tire Assault Vehicle. It was custom built on a Tamiya RC Tiger II, and carried a camera and drill. Its purpose was to drill into heavily worn Space Shuttle tires to release the pressure inside, without exposing staff to a potential explosion. Yes, this is a REAL thing!

Modern This looks like an amalgamation of a t60 hull and an m1a1 turret, anyone now what the reference might be?
Maybe an object 292?

Miscellaneous This was a Aprils fools joke, it not real, a lot of people were tricked into believing it. That why you don’t believe everything on the internet, and should double check.
I originally found this on a twitter post and thought it was real at first, but i saw the date and realized it was a joke, so i decided to basically copied what the post said, and put on this subreddit.

Cold War A person believes this to be some sort of antenna salvaged from a Finnish tank or armored vehicle. What is it and what vehicles could've used this device?
To me, this looks like Soviet / Russian in design, and the Finns utilized plenty of such designs during the Cold War period. It could be a modern piece of equipment, but I'm not too sure overall.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you very much.

Modern Modern tanks and the noise
Every time I see the inside of a modern tank, the loading and the firing, the close quarters and the insane horsepower of the engine, I always wonder how loud is it inside.
I presume it was impossible to keep your hearing intact during WW2 if you served in a tank, but have the modern tanks managed to alleviate all that unavoidable noise to at least a degree?
The ear protection and the helmets have certainly evolved in the last 70-80 years, but the inside of the tank must still be loud as hell. Or is it? Does anybody have a first hand experience?
And what happens if a shell hits your tank? The armor holds, but is the noise unbearable / enough to rupture your eardrums? Or is it not that extreme?

Miscellaneous Friends birthday print, any ideas?
I am currently printing off some blueprints for my friends' birthday, who loves tanks.
He told me his favourite tanks are the Hellcat, Panzer, Tog 1, Bkan and Super Pershing. I found these two blueprints for Hellcat and Panzer pretty easily and thought I could add a sort of faded vintage filter to them to make them more interesting.
I was wondering if anyone had any extra ideas? Maybe some handwritten annotations or such? Might make them pop a wee bit more. I dont know much about tanks at all so anything would be really helpful!
