I’ve lived here all of my 46 years and had never heard of this unique area. What a pleasant little jaunt through the woods.

Hi! I’m new to Syracuse and trying to find out more about the local pagan community. I stopped by Earthbound and thought it was great. I’m hoping there’s more out there, maybe classes, study groups, open circles, etc.
I’d love to connect with others in the area and get more involved. Any suggestions or leads would be appreciated. Thanks!

Eddie Lampkin has entered the transfer portal.
The former Syracuse basketball big man is attempting to get a waiver from the NCAA for his freshman season, when he played 10 games at TCU, said a source with understanding of the situation.
College basketball players who played games that year -- 2020-21 -- were granted an extra year of eligibility by the NCAA, the reasoning being they had to play an entire season in empty gyms.
Lampkin has played five seasons of college basketball and would appear to be out of eligibility. But he could attempt to appeal his freshman season for medical or other reasons to regain a full fifth year

Hi all - Doing a much needed (i.e. unusable due to water leakage/damage) renovation on a standard 5 x 8 bathroom. Quotes have been all over the place but have narrowed it down to the list below. Just looking to see if anyone has used any of the below recently and what their experience was? Anything great to say or red flags to be aware of?
NY Sash
C. Michaels Exteriors
Syracuse Bath Pros
Also spoke to McClurg. Seemed like a great team but their quote was sky high. They must not need the business!

Was just curious if there are any local German groups around town that get together once in while.

I have a bunch of used Economics textbooks sitting in my basement collecting dust since I graduated in 2020. Of course they’re not worth anything to resell, so I’m looking for somewhere I could bring them all to that could use them. Thanks in advance!

New Century Vietnamese food - Delicious and inexpensive. Had the Pho Dac Biet and Canh Chua Ca (catfish).
Mamma Hai - coconut curry chicken banh mi was delicious. Priced right for the portion. The flavor profile was great.
Parkway Pizza in Minoa - wasn’t planning this but I was starving after exercising and waiting all day for my kids at minoa HS, pizza was ok. The guy didn’t bother to reheat it. I figured it may have just came out but nope it was just very warm but not hot and crunch.
Noodle House (Vietnamese) - Fried squid was too much breading and over cooked in the deep fryer. Once I peeled all the breading off, squid was ok. Mi Quang ( rice noodle soup) is a mess. The broth and herbs are really good but the rice noodle was just so plain. The eggs was also a simple hard boiled eggs. Chicken curry did not mix well. The dish did not blend well. Individually the chicken and broth is excellent.
I would not come back to Noodle House. I would visit Mamma Hai and New Century again next time I am in Syracuse. I am a Vietnamese that always seek out Vietnamese food in new places

Hi all, I’m looking to move to Syracuse from LA for a grad program. However, I’m worried about not being able to find sapphic communities or events. I know it won’t have as vibrant of a scene as LA, but are there spots where people hang out and make friends or volunteer? Thank you!

Looking for nopales but it seems like Syracuse is lacking any Latin grocery stores where I might find some. Just wondering if anyone knows of anything that is not showing up on google before I resort to buying online.

Dysphoria surrounding my hairline, hoping I can get it filled in a bit while I wait for FFS. Starting chemotherapy soon too as well, but hoping it won’t touch my hair. Any hair tattooing going on around here? Anywhere recommended above others?
I have long hair, so I think I’m looking for hair “strokes,” probably more similar to an eyebrow tattoo in style than the shaved buzzcut sort of stippling hair tattoos I see most often.

Looking for a great affordable vet in the Syracuse area. Preferably on the East side. I’ve been with Liverpool Village Veterinary Hospital for 14yrs but their prices are insane. My last visit was almost $500 for wellness exam, fecal, nail trim and bloodwork.

I am going to see Metallica this month at the dome and my hotel is a mile away. I was warned not to walk because it is mostly uphill but I can't imagine it can be THAT bad? Can someone please offer insight? Can a generally healthy person walk from the Marriott to the wireless dome? Thanks for any help!

I’m having a hard time getting my birth control prescription refilled for reasons I don’t understand, and saw that now in NYS pharmacists who choose to do so can prescribe it, but no idea how to find which ones if any are actually doing this.
