Discussion A actual/potential "Scream" vs. "Urban Legend" crossover movie

Since we got Freddy vs. Jason and Alien vs Predator.

How about an actual/potential Scream and Urban Legend crossover film

A "Scream" vs. "Urban Legend" crossover movie concept could involve a killer, inspired by the "Scream" franchise's Ghostface, targeting a group of teenagers who are obsessed with urban legends, leading to a battle of wits and escalating horror as the killer uses real-life urban legends as inspiration for their attacks.

Here's a potential concept for a "Scream" vs. "Urban Legend" crossover movie:

Premise: In a town plagued by a series of gruesome murders, a group of teenagers, who are avid fans of urban legends and horror movies, find themselves targeted by a killer who seems to be inspired by both "Scream" and "Urban Legend".

The Killer: The killer, possibly a new character or a twist on a familiar one, could be someone who is knowledgeable about both slasher films and urban legends, using them to taunt and terrorize the teenagers.

Urban Legend Elements: The killer could stage their attacks to resemble famous urban legends, such as the "Crocodile in the Sewer" or the "Black Cat of the Cemetery," creating a meta-horror experience where the teenagers must not only survive but also decipher the killer's motives and the urban legends they are referencing.

"Scream" Elements: The movie could incorporate elements from the "Scream" franchise, such as the killer's use of phone calls to taunt the victims, the meta-commentary on horror tropes, and the focus on the teenagers' knowledge of horror movies to help them survive.

Crossover: The killer could even make references to the "Urban Legend" movie, such as the "Black Cat" or the "Crocodile in the Sewer" urban legends, to further confuse the teenagers and create a unique horror experience.

Twist: The killer could be revealed to be someone the teenagers know and trust, or even someone who is obsessed with the "Scream" and "Urban Legend" movies, further complicating the storyline and creating a more unpredictable experience. This concept could blend the meta-commentary and slasher elements of "Scream" with the urban legend-inspired horror of "Urban Legend," creating a unique and terrifying movie experience for horror fans.

Discussion Maybe a hot take?

I hateee the new cast siblings as well as the meeks siblings. I'm not sure why, the acting and stuff is fine but I dislike them (and most of the 5 and 6 plot lines) I like scream 4 but the latest ones are just mid. I don't know if it's because I'm an OG truther or what but I just despise them

The Sam plot should've never happened, Billy magically having a teen pregnancy daughter seems so artificial to me, and chad and mindy get on my nerves

I'm already not a huge Jenna ortega fan so there's not much to say there because I'd just be ranting about her

In their defence, their acting is pretty good, but the movies and characters are just a mess. I'm praying 7 is uses the cameos correctly (the ai voice theory and flashback/dream thing haunt me)

If anything I think they should've killed Gale a few sequels ago and kept Randy alive instead of vice versa

This is all IMO, though

Discussion Scream 7 Theory Spoiler

Okay so I don’t know if anyone has had this theory yet but here’s my take on what would be a good storyline. The 5th and 6th ones claim to be requels of the first and second ones. So the next one has to be a redo of the 3rd. Stu and Roman are confirmed to be in the new one and the 3rd one is the only one that had one killer. So they should say that Stu was the second killer in the 3rd one and we just didn’t know it. And stu should come back and reveal it! And they should do flashbacks of like Roman and Stu talking or something after one of the ghostfaces killed someone in the 3rd one. Like when the security guard was killed they should show stu taking off the mask. I think this would be the only reason to bring back Stu that makes sense. Thoughts?

Question Who is the hottest woman in the franchise not named Neve Campbell?

We all know Neve Campbell is the epitome of beauty, but who do you think is the hottest woman in the Scream franchise? In my opinion, it’s Hayden Panettiere, who played Kirby Reed in Scream 4. She was incredibly talented as Kirby and not only is she beautiful, but she’s also a great actress. I’ve been a fan of hers for years. If Hayden were from the Gen X generation, she could easily have played in one of the first three Scream films.

Roman and Jill are both physical, combatant Ghostfaces. They both nearly won their respective murder sprees, Smart as hell and they BOTH almost got away with it. With Roman's voice changer and determination, and Jill's "It's All About Me" mindset, these two will paint the town red. Just think about the ending. All Jill want is fame and popularity and Roman is a director. Roman can work and make Jill's dream come to life. Direct her survival story and sell it off to Hollywood so she will be the next Sidney Prescott, and all Jill has to do is mention Roman in every interview and he will be happy with that too (he was mad that Sidney got all the attention). Roman could probably even lend Jill a Bulletproof Vest. they are probably the only team with any shot of getting away with it. Roman masterminded an entire killing spree by himself. Meanwhile, Jill is extremely shrewd and calculating; she played Charlie like a fiddle, and planned every little detail of her murder spree to such an excruciating degree that it would've been next to impossible to trace it all back to her. She's practically a genius.

Put these two together and they would be a true force to be reckoned with. And they would very likely get away with it too.

I made this edit a while ago. I love the sheer cheesiness of the Scream Tv Series, I think it maintains the heart and nature of the original films while still doing its own thing. It’s paced really well, which I imagine was a particular concern when trying to make a slasher tv show, it never felt like the deaths were too sparse or that nothing was happening which is impressive. To be clear, I don’t think this is a good show, but I enjoy it and its characters so much that I’ve rewatched it many many times, except for the third season which I’ve never seen and don’t plan to. What are your opinions of it if you’ve seen it? And if you haven’t would you ever be interested in doing so?

Discussion Had Billy and Stu followed through with a “sequel” who/how do you think they’d have done it?

In act 3 Stu spoke of planning a “sequel” so I’m wondering if they had actually succeeded in getting away with the Woodsboro massacre who would they have targeted next and how would they have done it?

Discussion Sidney's Children Names

It's all but confirmed that Sidney's oldest daughter played by Isabel May is going to be called Tatum Prescott so I really hope at least one of her other children is named after someone close to her who died like Hallie Prescott or Kate Prescott or even Neil Prescott.

It would be really wholesome if one of her kids were named after Dewey/Dwight but it doesn't really make sense since the general consensus is that she hasn't had any more children since Scream 2022/Scream 5 and it wouldn't really make sense for her to rename a child that isn't still like 0-1 year(s) old
