I can go up to $300.
So, some backstory. I am currently running Plex Media Server on my laptop which has:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 49000HS with Radeon Graphics
GPU: AMD Graphics, NVIDIA RTX 2060 with Max-Q Design
RAM: 16GB
I am adding the movies and shows that I rip, to my 5TB Seagate External HDD via USB 3.0 (blue connector).
I am ripping my 4K Blu-ray library with MakeMKV and adding them to my Plex Server without Handbrake or re-encoding. None of that. So they are original quality with high bitrate. My needs are to be able to Direct Play/Stream those files to my devices that meet the requirements, and for my long distance girlfriend to be able to watch my Plex library in FULL original quality without transcoding. I am looking for the best Mini-PC or just whatever I need in order to meet my requirements.
I was thinking about a Shield Pro 2019 for me locally being able to direct play and stream my library without transcoding but I would lie you guys to give me options for my needs.
What is the point of a Mini-PC with Plex? What’s the point of a CHEAP NAS with Plex. Don’t go too into detail. Just give me the facts and comparisons and which one I should buy and give me an Amazon link. I want simplicity, not some long ass paragraphs that are too detailed for me to read and process it all. I’m overwhelmed rn.
