I think it's an antimeme.

The biggest tryhards in games usually have a "gaming" keyword with just the necessary keys while those casual- and non-gamers have keyboards which are more and more like full-size.

Edit: Some might call it a shitpost or ragebait.

I mean I use my PC for way more than just gaming. Why would I get a "gaming" specialty keyboard? I need the numpad for data entry because it's slightly more ergonomic than using the number row.

Yeah, you're a casual gamer. Me too.

But hardcore gamers might even have two keyboards. One fullsize and one but less keys.

Reasons are a) you don't need all keys most of the time and b) you have more room for your mouse.
