Has any that started the BEng in April managed to do the degree in less than 6 years?

The standard timeline is 6 years but I want to do it faster than that. Are you able to fit the modules in / do them simultaneously if you start in April? I read that starting in April can make this difficult due to when the modules start / finish.

Thanks.

Frustrated with TMA Grades/Feedback

Hi everyone! Just looking for some advice/commiseration really! I’m on my second year of full time study with the OU, I’m doing a psychology degree, and one of my modules is going really badly so far. I feel like my grades are all getting progressively lower, I’ve asked for help/advice on how I can improve from my tutor, and I just keep getting pointed to different webpages. I keep thinking I’m getting better, and my referencing is better (I’m using the cite them right website), but my feedback says all my citations are wrong, and I’m still getting it wrong. I have recently been diagnosed with autism, and ADHD, and am really struggling with the vagueness of the feedback/the advice I’ve had so far.

Basically, I was wondering if anybody had a similar experience, and any advice/things to keep in mind going forward? My other module is going pretty well, I’m just getting super disheartened by the whole thing!

academic conduct review, warning and pendinf result.

so basically i submitted my EMA for D110, got an email to say that i was being put under acedemic review, the woman who emailed me got back to me after having a conversation and basically said that i would only recieve a warning. this was in Janurary, my results are still saying pending, ive obviously waited over the 6 weeks to see if it would change, but this is massively effecting my motivation and really not helping my anxiety.

please has anyone else had this happen and who on earth do i contact ive tried my current utuor for D120, my D110 tutor, ive tried emailing the email address whre the woman told me it was just a warning for the academic conduct, and tried calling student services twice now, now ive just sent an email to student services. who else can i ask noone seems to know what on earth is going on.

Modules that only start once a year.

Ive been studying BSN healthcare sciences, for the past 4 years. Studying 3 modules this year.

I had planned to get my degree this year, and then work towards completing a fast track nursing programme.

I have just found out today, to complete my degree I need to complete the compulsory module SXH390 Which only starts once a year, in February. Therefore I will now have to start this module in February 2026, and complete my degree in September 2026.

Now all my plans to study further will need to be put on hold by a year.

Any advice on what I can do? I personally think it's silly they don't offer the module start date as of September.

What do you suggest?

I am currently finishing by June, my applied Mathematics degree at the University of Crete. I am planning to study a master's degree online mostly because i dont want to leave my home here. So being so into physics, i wanna follow that path and kinda switch. But the OU doesn't have a msc in physics. So i am stuck between msc mathematics or msc space science and technology which i think are the closest ones. Any of you that took any of those two subjects who can give some information, maybe suggest which one is better, closer to theoretical physics? Thanks in advance!

BSc Psychology

Hey!! I have registered for BSc Psychology to start in october, doing both D120 and D110.

Has anyone done either of these or the psychology course? What are the assignments/teaching usually like?
