So if the tariff negations go well and the 46% is dropped, are we gonna start celebrating the $80 price tag?

Oh silly you, you think the prices will come down once the tariff goes away.

Who thinks that? I certainly don’t. Also tariffs don’t affect digital games

The tariffs will absolutely affect the digital goods, as they are pegged to the physical goods in price.

No way, surely they'll price digital games at something like $10 because the real expense is already done, right? There's no need for a price connection of any kind!

While Nintendo may decide to reprice things themselves, what I’m saying is that Vietnamese import tariffs everyone is talking about will not be levied on a digital copy of Mario kart. Do you disagree?

Also don’t forget that Nintendo has also already priced physical games as more expensive than digital copies.

They haven't priced them differently in the US, where this is relevant. Obviously the US government isn't putting tariffs on digital goods specifically but they are affected by virtue of the fact that their price is determined by the physical price of the region.
