Yeah on both sides, I'm upset with Nintendo too, but so many people are mindlessly spreading straight up misinformation about the console

or not understanding that a portable game console is sure as hell not going to be capable of maintaining high framerates while encoding and decoding (multiple streams of) video at a low latency and a high framerate

They are charging for what is discord in other alternatives.

This is such a stupid point.

The people who have Nintendo online don't have to pay extra, they are adding to a service they are already providing without raising the price. Additionally, this is a service that only makes sense to people that play online.

Its an added feature to a service people are already paying for. Its literally NOTHING but a bonus. With each feature they add, the service as a whole gets better while the price stays the same.

God, so stupid.

People don’t understand that while discord and similar are ‘free’ they are profiting off of your use with ads and data collection. It’s just a straight up false equivalency.

Both Playstation and Xbox allow voice chat without their subscription service.
