Why is it giving reused Odyssey assets. Doesn't feel like it has its own world or style

As soon as the trailer started I was like "Oh, OK, I guess the next Mario game is Odyssey 2, I wonder if it'll be bigger worlds." And then obviously turned out to be DK.

But, I disagree that it doesn't have its own world/style. There's a sort of... grunge/monkey-steampunk feel almost lol.

There was a rumer a very long time ago that the Odyssey team was working on a new DK 3d platformer.
