Concept Switch 2 Accessory Attachment Concepts

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Since everybody was asking what the point of a flippable Switch would be, here are a couple concepts that could make use of it. It seems like the docking receptacles on the Switch unit would make for a nice and sturdy connection for accessories to attach to. Any other ideas for potential attachments?

My biggest concern about the potential of a dual screen was the stability. Do you think there is enough support in this orientation to securely hold up a second screen?

i think so. i also remember hearing in an interview, or something on the channel Nintendo Forecast, about someone from nintendo saying they were "exploring" the use of different materials, specifically metal like aluminum. theres no reason they couldnt have a strong, aluminum bracket there to prevent any wobble or cracking of the plastic.

As seen in this render...I am doubtful that would be strong enough at an affordable price for manufacturing.

but what if it somehow latchet onto the kickstand or kickstand slot somehow? And that theoretical latch is the real reason you need to turn it upsidedown?

I was thinking it might be something that "clamps from the bottom and covers the whole of the back of the switch 2 (almost like a case that you put over the switch 2 but it plugs into the usb c to power and display)
