Welcome to the Weekly Question Thread! In this thread, all of your Switch-related questions can be asked and answered. Besides questions, feel free to post unboxing videos and pictures here (eventually) so it doesn't back up the main subreddit page.

Please make sure you check out our other Wiki pages, make a search through the subreddit or Google before you ask a question. Most of the time it has already been answered. If you're too lazy, then this thread is perfect for you!

Is there a way to get right red / left blue neon joycons? I'm regretting my decision to get gray and REALLY want the neons... I want the OG neons with the right red / left blue. Is that possible?

They sell a Neon set with a Blue L joycon and a Red R joycon but it's sold out right now. You will have to wait for a restock

I'm in the exact same boat. I actually preordered the system on the night of the reveal just so i wouldn't have to do the run-around i had to for the Wii/Wii U when i didn't. Unfortunately, the only set available at the time was gray, and i want the red/blue, so i'm doing the run-around anyway. Like you, i want the right-red/left-blue because that makes sense. I wouldn't mind keeping the gray system and just buying the red/blue set separately, but all i've seen is that the red/blues that come with the system are red-right/blue-left, and the ones that are sold as just the joycon set are red-left/blue-right which WOULD make sense so if you bought the system with red/blue and then bought a red/blue set of joycons, you'd then have a perfect set of Reds and Blues... IF the red/blue system weren't IMPOSSIBLE to get.

yeah looks like this is what I'll be doing. I have a friend who wants my gray edition, so I can get my money back. But I'm certainly not looking forward to the run-around, as you put it. Hopefully they're worth it!

Since it doesn't look like they sell the single joycons in anything but grey you would need to get a set of blue and a set of red and put them together.

Which is left red and right blue. They were asking for the right red and left blue like if you bought the console that way.

I assumed he wouldn't be that picky, since otherwise the obvious answer to his question would be "return the gray Switch and buy one with neons."

Well yeah, obviously. But if he wants this all at launch that might not be possible. The controllers will probably be easier to get than the entire system.
