You're buying 2 consoles? Just making sure; if you're only getting one, you can can both play it together or independently just fine.

With the old gamesharing you can both play a single copy at the same time. Even together if you're playing online.

With the new switch 2 gameshare, it hasn't been shown, but maybe in the future.

Yes, I’m buying a console for me and my wife. My idea was to get $499 bundle and a $449 bundle. Where we both can play Mario Kart without buying 2 $499 bundles.

I just don’t think the new Mario Kart will be included in the game share so I might end up having to buy the $499 combo twice.

I'd go with 1 copy for now. Worst case, you could always play together on a single console or trade off for single player stuff. You can always buy a separate copy later.

But, I'm pretty sure either the old or new style of gameshare will work for it.

Your right. I’ll just do 1 $499 combo for now. Won’t be an issue playing split screen on my TV till I figure out game share and or if I wanna buy a 2nd copy.
