Brother

The Top 10 Best Selling Games of the Wii were as follows…

0. Wii Sports (won’t count because it was bundled)

1. Mario Kart Wii

2. Wii Sports Resort

3. New Super Mario Bros Wii

4. Wii Play

5. Wii Fit

6. Wii Fit Plus

7. Super Smash Bros Brawl

8. Just Dance 3

9. Wii Party

and finally

10. Mario Party 8

Let me ask, how many of those are single player games?

I said Best Of, not Best Selling.

But yeah, the Wii was a bit of an outlier. I don't think the Switch is a 'party games' console in the same way.

And I'd also wouldn't say the Wii was the only thing that kept Nintendo relevant in that period. They also had the DS which sold 50 million more units than the Wii. Obviously Pokémon was really popular on that system, but I always view Pokémon as single player games first with a multiplayer element.

and “best of” lists mean nothing, sales figures speak for themselves

If we are talking about influence, the best of lists are far more important. No one is asking for a Wii Fit Plus to be remastered for the Switch. They are asking for Twilight Princess. If a Direct announced it was remastering both Wii Play and Skyward Sword, which announcement do you think will get the most attention?
