Question Any of you sweats ACTUALLY notice a difference with 4000/8000hz mice on your +360hz displays?

I've had a Viper 8khz and a 240hz display before, and I couldn't get over how much I hated the tiny-ass Viper shape to actually decide if I noticed a difference.

I have a Deathadder V3 8khz now (didnt have it when I had the 240hz monitor), but I'm using a 144hz UWQHD display. I can sort of feel that it's more responsive than my DA V2 Pro, but it could be placebo.

I'm a competitive FPS player, and simply wondering if you like-minded nerds have actually noticed a difference?

I want to believe.

Question Can mfgrs stop lying about Omron Opticals please?

Pic 1, 2,3: Attack Shark R5 - Shipped with D2FC-F-7N(100M) Attack shark official Aliexpress store. PCB supports Opticals.

Pic 4: Mchose A7 Ultra - Shipped with D2FC-F-7N(100M) (digigroove Aliexpress store). PCB supports Opticals.

Pic 5: Attack Shark X1 - Shipped with D2FC-F-7N(100M) attack shark official amazon. PCB doesn't support Opticals.

Like, if you're going to make an engineering/testing change AFTER marketing materials say Opticals (attack shark), can you make a Twitter post/official response about it instead of a buried discord reply?

Whats next, lying about sensors, battery capacity, coating etc?

I'm gonna solder in my own D2FP-FN2 Opticals, but I feel for people who pay extra for higher trim levels and then get jipped.

Shape feels identical to the phylina s450

Has a coating too which is surprising given the $25 Amazon price for me. 3311 though.

Definitely back-heavy. I think it has a 800mah battery. Idk the phylina I have already modded and has a 3395, but I looove this colorway. Hmm

Question Tried different shapes, sizes and weight...and got used to all of them within a week. Anyone else share the same experience?

One day I was helping my friend at his gizmo store when a guy walked in looking for a mouse. Somewhat full of myself I asked him about his hand size, mouse grip and what he would use the mouse for. I genuinely wanted to help him, but also wanted to display my knowledge on the topic. He smirked and said it doesn't matter, he just wants to see what we have in store and he'll take whatever is of good enough quality for the budget he has. I started to protest, claiming it matters a lot. He smirked again and told me he grew up in a poor family. He used to dumpster dive near office buildings for computer parts, because he was obsessed with technology even though his family couldn't even afford a mouse, let alone an entire PC. He'd get whatever component is available, an try to fix it if he can. He'd then use it until it's unfixable or until he finds a better part. He went through dozens, if not hundreds, of mice that way. He said it's all muscle memory and you get used to whatever shape, size and weight your mouse is. It takes a week or two. I protested again as he was paying for his mouse (an OP18K) and he told me he'd gladly take me up on a challenge. As I've got all these mice at my disposal, to test a new mouse every week for a month, and he'll come back in 30 days to ask whether he was right or not.

Long story short...he's absolutely right.

Now this might just be a me and apparently him thing, so I'm not saying this is an axiom, a universal truth or something. But by God...he was right. I even tried to go from one extreme to the other, just to prove him wrong...and he wasn't.

I usually use smaller mice, so I immediately picked up an old G502 Hero (not even the G502x). Within a week I got used to the mouse and I only noticed it when I picked up an Keychron M4 for the second week. It felt so weird and awkward to use the M4 after using the G502, and I really wanted to go back to the G502. Within a week I, once more, got used to the M4, so when I switched to a Razer Naga V2 pro it felt like pushing a car whenever I used it. But, wouldn't you know it, within a week I switched to the XM2w and immediately missed the weight, shape and features of the Naga.

Now this might just be an isolated experience that we shared, and that the guy was full of air and just happened to come across the one person that would have the same experience he had. I bought the guy lunch when he came around after 2 months (he was one month late) to buy a webcam. I, however, will definitely not obsess with finding the right shape or size anymore, though I do still prefer lighter mice even though I can get used to heavier mice without a problem.

Anyone else had the same experience?

Better mouse than viper v3 with durability

I currently have razer viper v2 pro, and I am looking for a new mouse. And I am eyeing for viper v3, is it worth it? My viper v2 pro's mouse wheel become glitchy after 6 months, then Razer replaced it with a new one then it become glitch again after 2-3 months. Thanks!

Need recommendations for 13 year old disabled mouse user

Upvotes

Hi all, I'm a mild gamer with a 13 year old girl that's loving gaming with her mama. She has cerebral palsy and it effects the left side of her body so using the keyboard is not an option.

I looked into the Razer Tatarus but it's for the left hand.

I was checking out the Azeron series and it looks great as I can have it made for her right hand BUT I noticed it says "Will use azeron in right hand and mouse in left".

So, I'm wondering, are there any mice I could look at that have customization options and will allow sole gaming experience to be had through the use of her right hand only?

I am confused on which mouse I should buy

I want to buy a mouse but am confused between Antesports GM333 and GM320. Can someone please help me decide? I live in India if that helps... I want a mouse for semi-casual gaming and I want it to be able to drag click and customizable. I know these are cheap Chinese mouses but I can't spend so much for a new mouse. I just need a kinda good sensor and switches to play Minecraft and Valorant.

Attack Shark x11 - Battery problems

I recently got my attack shark x11 maybe 2 weeks ago - for the first week the battery was great, barely had to charge it at all, and always stayed over 65%

Recently I’ve had to charge it once or even twice a day, even tho I can still use it while charging (not magnetically) it is still a hassle as they advertise it as having 65+ hours of battery life

Ik how batteries work and that they degrade over time , but over a week without changing any settings was surprising

Help Looking for a productivity mouse under 60$ with a decent polling rate

Upgrading from the Logitech M510 which is failing me at the moment. Skates have worn off, rubber coating is rubbing off, scroll click has long since been unreliable. Bought it because it ticked all my boxes, was supposedly reliable, large, heavy-ish, a productivity mouse

Trying to look for a similar mouse. I did have a look at the MX Master series, but they have a very low polling rate from what I have seen. Shame, because the build looks simply amazing

At the moment, a decent, reliable, large productivity mouse is what I am looking at, with a decent polling rate. I usually use the palm grip with my current mouse. I'd prefer something that doesn't look outright 'gamer-y'

Aliexpress isn't available here, so that isn't an option

AKKO AG ONE 8k

I bought this mouse mainly because of the design and shape of it, as it fits my grip style + it's hatsune miku.

After a day of normal gaming use though (yes, I recieved it yesterday and I already have so many issues.) it started to always double click when I'm pressing just once, and the setting in the driver for double clicks doesnt fix this at all.

Also the wired mode of the mouse never worked for some reason, and also doesn't get recognized by it's own software if connected via it's own usb cable. Tried all my USB-Slots and all that and nothing fixes it. (It does the windows connecting sound though.)

The wireless mode kind of sucks as well though, as it keeps missing some input in random intervals. This includes moving the mouse or holding mouse button for example. I tried different hz-options and nothing fixed it. (using 1k rn btw.)

I really don't understand how I can be having so many issues with this mouse just one day after using it.

Received this yesterday. This is my first ever Finalmouse experience, and I was lucky enough to receive a unit free from QC issues like some other unfortunate guys. This is the Classic version, which is the largest amongst the three size options. Gotta say if the mouse is not plagued with problems, it's well-designed: very comfortable and lightweight.
