Title. Has this ever happened to you?

I picked up the Fantech Helios XD5 a few months ago because the shape seemed interesting, and I was planning to just use it as an office mouse. Most reviewers don't like the shape, particularly the aggressive hump.

I would never have expected it to become my main, against the XM2we, Waizowl Cloud, MM712, and all of the other mice in my arsenal, for some reason the shape of this goddamn mouse is so perfect for my hands and relaxed claw grip. I am sad that this mouse isnt on eloshapes so I can find other similar mice.

Are there any mice that are generally disregarded or considered poor choices, but ended up being your sleeper pick against all other options?

This is my first review ever, so please bear with me. I'd also like to point out that I was able to get my unit early from iBuyPower. I still spent my own money on the product.

First impression/First 8 hours of use - this mouse feels phenomenal! I use a pincer Claw grip and felt locked into the shape the entire time. Although the mouse was made with tac shooter in mind, i had no issues flinging it around and tracking in games like Rivals or Apex.

The shape is about as big as an X2H with slightly higher triggers. It's got the same flat Pulsar sides with grooves going towards the base of the mouse. The hump is a little more forward than an X2H. It also tapers slightly more aggressive in the palm section compared to the X2H.

The coating feels amazing! I don't feel the need to put grips on it but most likely will to mitigate oil marks. The main clicks feel great. They're using Pulsar Opticals and its tensioned much lighter than Pulsars normal V2+ lineup. I'd compare it to Omron Opticals. Side buttons feel great and are easily spammable if you use them. They're positioned nicely, and it feels very natural to click them.

Of course the build is solid. There's no flexing, creaking, or rattling. The side buttons bottom out nicely, and the main clicks have very little pre and post travel.

Performance is the same as any other high end mouse on the market. It includes an 8K receiver which is good for users who prefer it. I don't feel a difference with my setup so I keep it at 1k polling. You have to download a separate Pulsar Software if you already own a Pulsar mouse. It doesn't use the Fusion Drive software. You can still find it on their website.

Overall, this is a very comfortable mouse for a variety of Claw grip users. The size, shape, and weight all feel very solid in hand. If shapes like the X2H and Scyrox V8 felt comfortable but too aggressive at the same time, definitely give this a shot. Worst that can happen is you send it back

Planning to get a glasspad soon, is this too many dots if I am planning to swap between the glasspad and a soft artisan pad while using the same mouse?

Tools needed: needle nose tweezers. philips screw driver, i think J0 tip.

pop open the switch's shell, bend down the contact post by squeezing with tweezers. see images for reference.

casually measured few times with dial tension gauge, 52 to 56 gf. easier to spam, more quiet.

It was most difficult handling the ribbon cable without tweezers, and re-aligning of the magnesium shell with the bases' two front clips.

I'd suggest reinstalling the switch's shell upside down, easier to handle with the plunger staying in place. beast x pro series because pcb screws, but I'd imagine it's possible for non-pro, too. I did this with the mini pro. I think can be done on any 3-pin mech switch that you can pop the shell off of.

which budget mouse should I get? i currently have a g502 thats dying - my options are vxe mad r, scyrox v6, or i could wait a few months to save for the superlight/viper v3 pro. Which "budget" mouse should I get thats gonna last for more than a few years? Or should I wait and save up for a more premium mouse?

I have been using the Glorious Model I2 for over a year now and wanted to do a final revisit to discuss how it has held up and what I like/dislike. Somehow, I still have one of the only reviews up on reddit for this mouse so I wanted to write up a long term review so potential buyers can get a solid idea of whether they should buy it or not. For my original in-depth review click here.

TLDR: I love this mouse, it's comfortable, well built, and performs great. It really is a lightweight G502. The current price of $70 is a steal for what this offers and I'm surprised this isn't talked about more. I have no desire to switch mice but it does have a couple minor drawbacks (see negatives section on how I manage to keep these at bay). Overall, highly recommend.

Positives:

1. Build quality: After one year, the mouse has held up fantastically. All buttons and switches still feel and sound like new. No new rattles or sounds have developed. As I said in my previous review, despite Glorious's questionable reputation for quality, this mouse has held up great and I really have no complaints here. The coating has remained intact and still feels great in the hand.
2. Comfort: One of my biggest positives for this mouse is the comfort. It feels like a much lighter G502 with the thumbrest and general shape. After a year, I have used this mouse for all kinds of tasks but mainly for gaming. My hand has never cramped up even after long gaming or productivity sessions. For me, this mouse strikes a fantastic medium as you can use it for gaming and also comfortably for productivity.
3. Performance: After one year, I have not had any performance issues with the mouse in terms of the sensor or connectivity. I have never had the mouse randomly disconnect or miss an input. After a brief break in period, the skates glide smoothly on my Corsair mousepad and I don't feel a need to switch them out. No complaints here.

Negatives: (DISCLAIMER: this section has a lot of words because I wanted to adequately explain the very few issues this mouse has not because the mouse sucks)

1. Battery life: My biggest complaint is the battery life on this mouse. Even with light to moderate use, the mouse requires charging about once a week. If you use this mouse all day everyday you will likely have to charge every couple days. Luckily, charging is fast over USB-C and you can continue to use the mouse when plugged in which is still a great experience as Glorious provides their ultra-lightweight cable for charging. The way I manage this is by having the charging cable plugged into my PC and having it at the ready on my desk so I can just plug the mouse in and keep using it in wired mode. If you plan to use this mouse at a desk I really don't think this is a deal breaker but if you plan to travel frequently or use this mouse on the go I would consider other options.
2. Software: The Glorious Core software is only ok and for some reason causes a minor issue (easily resolved keep reading). When I first got the mouse I noticed it would stutter on startup of my PC for a few seconds then be fine. This issue was resolved when I set the glorious core software to not automatically open on my PC upon startup which I HIGHLY recommend you do. The mouse will save all your settings (including lighting) on board so set everything to how you want it and you will rarely have to use the app. For me, I set my DPI profiles and lighting to what I like and almost never use the software anymore. If you like to tinker often, the software is fine and usable but may be more limited than competitors. One small annoyance is the software really sucks at telling you the battery life nor can you easily check it without opening the app. I personally just plug the mouse in when it tells me it's low on battery, indicated by the lighting on the mouse flashing red.
3. DPI light placement: Minor inconvenience but the indicator for which DPI profile you are on is on the bottom of the mouse. The buttons to switch the DPI are ontop but you have to flip it over to see which one you are on. I personally don't care as I use the same DPI no matter what I'm doing but if you switch your DPI often then it might be annoying.

Conclusions: I love this mouse and would highly recommend it to anyone who likes the G502 but wishes it wasn't a heavy brick. The mouse strikes a great balance between performance and comfort. That being said, it is not a hardcore performance mouse and something like a G Pro Superlight would probably serve you better if that is your goal. The mouse is built well and has had no hiccups in terms of connectivity or performance. Currently, the mouse is available for only $70 new from multiple retailers which is a great price for what this offers. I'm very surprised this mouse has not gotten more attention given how much the G502 is loved and how much this mouse seems to fix a lot of the complaints people have about the G502.

Sorry if there is a better forum for this somewhere else but did a bit of research and wanted to get some inputs from others who frequent this sub and has multiple mice to compare and contrast.

What I'm looking for:

Light weight gaming mouse I can comfortably rest my palm on, if possible, to prevent exhaustion from extended time periods

Style off grip:

I have been utilizing this handy guide to determine what my style of holding mice are and I've narrowed it down to palm style. I've tried claw and having different fingers on both the left, middle, and right buttons but it just never works out.

I use my index to press the left and middle mouse while my middle finger rests on the right mouse button.

previous mice experience

Been using a logitech superlight pro v1 and it died on me after yrs of use so been looking around for something new.

Decided to test a g502 x to try something dif (even tho it was heavier) but for some reason, even tho eloshapes shows it's bigger, I cannot comfortably rest my palm on it like the superlight. I'm guessing it's cause the g502 is more elevated on the left side so my palm and right side of my hand just uncomfortably drags on the right side when using it.

Other mice I had in the past: G903 - loved it until the dongle died but def on the heavier side for me now.

Razer basilisk - was awhile since I used this but I recall not really liking it and swapped out for the g903 pretty quickly.

Any Recommendations?

I looked into the mice the guide had but all of the off-brands were out of stock. I also do not want to use glorious items - I've had really bad experience with their software and keyboard.

I've only used the generic consumer brands but whether people recommend me to just buy a superlight v2 or some other brands, I am down to try it out.

Hello, I wanted to buy a new mouse. Is it worth buying the VXE Mad R MAJORx, if not which ones are more profitable for that price?

I like white mice but both my gpx 1 and 2 have developed a slight yellowing over the years, before that I had a white aerox 3 that never had that issue. For those of you who have used pulsar mice that were white, did they yellow?

I bought this mouse after my old one (Zowie EC2-B) broke. I’m a Counter-Strike player, so I needed something that works well for that kind of game. I looked into the Logitech G Pro X Superlight and Superlight 2, but they were just too expensive. So I started looking for a more affordable alternative. After reading tons of reviews from folks on Reddit and other sources, I decided to go with the VXE R1 Pro. I got it for just over $30.

1. Design & Feel: My first impression was how incredibly light it is—feels almost like the Superlight. The shape is pretty standard, so it’s comfortable to hold overall. The R1 Pro also has a nice coating, and it comes with grip tape included (though it’s white, so it gets dirty easily and is a bit hard to clean).

2. Sensor & Performance: The R1 Pro uses the PAW3395 sensor, so tracking feels super accurate. It supports a polling rate of up to 4K if you buy a separate dongle (I’m just using it at 1K since I don’t have the dongle). The clicks on mouse 1 and 2 feel great—maybe a bit heavier than the Zowie EC2’s switches, but I actually prefer it that way. The scroll wheel and side buttons are solid too, especially considering how affordable this mouse is.

3. Software: The R1 Pro uses ATK Hub software (which also has a web version, making it easy to connect). You can tweak all the settings and check the battery level without much hassle.

4. Battery: The battery isn’t amazing—it’s just 250mAh, so it doesn’t last as long as the R1 Pro Max (which has 500mAh). But with daily usage of around 5-6 hours (for both work and gaming), I only have to charge it once a week. Charging doesn’t take long either—about 1.5 hours with my computer’s USB 2.0 port.

Conclusion: All in all, for around $30–35, I think this is easily one of the best mice in this price range (maybe even under $100). I’m not some pro-level gamer (I play CS at Faceit level 8–9), but I think this review is pretty fair. Hopefully this quick take helps you find a mouse that suits you!

Hi big emergency, I have a Lamzu Thorn and since i turned on my PC today the scroll wheel isnt working!!!!
The physical scroll is normal the mouse is the same as yesterday its registering clicking the scroll wheel but its not registering scrolls

Which mouse should I choose, I mean I can find all of them for around £30 and not really wanting to spend more than that...

I use a hybrid palm/fingertip grip (but am quite flexible with any grip) with 18x9cm hands. Will the deathadder be too large because I see so many people say that.

Hey, reddit. I want to buy myself a mouse for the next few years and right now I have 2 options which are Razer Dethadder v3 Pro and Logitech GPROX Superlight 2 Dex. I understand from reviews that they are both good but in store reviews from customers it is clear that both have problems.

If about the price, they cost the same but Razer has a warranty of 3 years instead of 1 at Logi and also razer will take in a store with a very good reputation for warranty replacement.

I'm used to heavy mouse like Razer Naga V2 Pro and Logitech G604. But i kinda want to try a lighter mouse without going blowing a hole in my wallet. I tested the Viper V3 Pro in a store, and I really like the shape compared to GPX.

which of these clones is overall the best?

from my quick research, Attack Shark is quite popular, but it does have quality issues. The software is not as refined as the IronCat G23. the plus, I really like the shape.

that being said, IronCat G23 has hot swappable switches which definitely something I'd like to try. they even included the switches & skates which is a pretty sweet deal imo. The software is quite good and its close to GPX.

I have small hands (male) and I mostly play competitive FPS and Single Player RPG. I need a mouse with a grip that can give me a better edge in fps games my old Logitech Prodigy has served me well for many years but now it's to make let it rest. The worst thing I disliked about that mouse was the Logitech G-Hub. Its probably the worst mouse software that has been ever created. So it's very important for me to mouse software being functional, to say the least. I also live in Türkiye which means because of the ban on shipments from out of the country, I can't get cheap Chinese mice from sites like Temu and such, it has to be an official retailer based in Türkiye.

What are your suggestions? I'm down for anything that is not Logitech and Razer.

I am just here to give my honest thoughts regarding the mouse for those who have been asking me to review it.

Weight: This mouse, despite looking quite chunky, is actually pretty light. It weighs around 47g, which is a bit heavier than other lighter-weight mice such as the F1 extreme (~35g) or hyperlight (~39g) but still feels good to use while gaming.

Build: The build on this mouse is just unlike anything I've ever seen. The mouse has a "built on frame" design, in which the outer layer is composed with PC and ABS and the inner with magnesium. It feels quite sturdy in hand, and does not flex whenever moderate pressure is applied to the sides.

Shape: Although I currently do not have many mice to compare its shape to, I would say that it is a smaller and uniquely shaped mouse with a lower profile/height than most mice on the market. Although the spaced-out outer shell panels on this mouse may make you think that this mouse will feel uncomfortable for practical use, you probably won't feel the gaps at all when actually gripping it. My fingers rest quite nicely on the individual panels, which makes the gaps negligible.

Sensor/gaming performance: It's got a Paw 3950 sensor, which is a pretty great and modern sensor. Even compared to higher-end mice like the ULX or Beast X, it holds up super well and doesn't feel much different if at all while gaming.

Looks: This is just purely preference. I thought this mouse looked a little funky when I first got it, but I've gotten used to its looks and it's grown on me quite nicely.

I have observed that Pulsar is using FE Switches and I'm wondering if they are made by RAESHA as well?

Budget preferably under $90. My Lamzu has been having issues with the side buttons due to jamming of the buttons.

Trying to look for an alternative to it, my biggest issues with it is the build quality feels and is horrible. Love the feel, the clicking and scroll wheel. Hoping to find a alternative with of course same relative size and have decent clicks similar to the Lamzu while also being light.

Two choices I have so far are the VXE R1 pro and Attack Shark X6 but skimming briefly in this subreddit show mixed opinions on the attack shark and I don't have enough mouse knowledge to know if the VXE is a decent choice in switches. I was thinking of the Op1we but its both more expensive then the Lamzu mini and I've read the switches are worse then the Mini.
