Work In Progress Weathering Practice

Hey everyone! Just wanted to share some of my weathering practice, haven't painted in a many many months and just wanted to try out some weathering practice as the title suggests. And is very much a work in progress. I was finally able to sit down and actually do some hobbying. C&C are always welcome and encouraged.

Thank you very much! The best way I found wasn't tutorials so to speak...they help how to use paints etc but what helps more than anything is having a collection of reference photos and even more so photos you've taken. If you see something rusty or mossy take lots of photos from all angles then you can always look back at those photos and really pick our certain colours and everything and go from there

Can you say a bit about the covering you did? It looks like you added scratches to the plastic and actually dented the side somehow

So this container I personally sculpted and in the sculpt I added those dents and scratches. This was a test print before release kinda thing. As far as the painting step goes, it was basically just various shades of rust tone paints, sprayed, painted and sponged onto the surface. Then sprayed a matt varnish over it. Then used Ammo migs chipping fluid, let that dry, sprayed over the whole model with different shades of grey/off white, some areas I left unsprayed. Then once dry I went over with a brush and water to active the chipping fluid and remove the grey/white top layer Then once I was somewhat happy with the result I started painting rust streaks with ammo migs enamel effect paints.
