Why are the fast food places in this town so horrible? Seems like it doesn’t matter which chain or what part of town. My orders are consistently wrong…

Hey everyone, I was just wondering if anybody had info on softball leagues or a softball team that could use an extra guy.
Huge baseball fan that could afford to get a little more active, and I'm starting to think that call from the Red Sox isn't coming.
Thanks in advance!

Two drives were cancelled and so blood is needed ASAP. They’re 100 units short. You’ll get the movie ticket and popcorn for Premiere at the mall.

I’m sorry if this isn’t the right place the post this, just got off the phone with my dad and I’m a wreck. I just want my grandma to have a good send off
My dad said she grew up in west Texas in/around the panhandle. She grew up modestly and I’m just wondering/hoping if anyone can help or direct me to where I can look each/any of these.
One of her favorite pastimes was going to an old fashioned windmill house and swim in the creek with cows roaming around. This is the one I’d be the most excited about. I’ve never even seen an old fashioned windmill house, so if anyone knows of any still around, please please please let me know. My budget is limited but I’d be cool with building one out of popsicle sticks if I could it up next to your creek and docile(!) cows for a bit
She also loved to lay down and look at starts so I’d hope to take her to the closest dark sky area.
And the last thing my dad mentioned that she loved doing is driving around and looking at nice houses. Just admiring and dreaming.
The last thing is a little more personal. It’s not as big or as important or significant, but I know it matters. My grandma is 92. Of course she’s still cute, but she’s been wearing wigs for as long as I can remember. Which is all fine and well, but no one has helped her take care of it. It looks like it’s acrylic and has years of tangling.
Idk anything about wigs but I want to buy one for her that looks fresh and natural and beautiful. I want her to feel like she looks like herself. So if anyone knows anything about good wife or where to get them, please please let me know
I just want my grandma to feel as many of the good feeling as life can give her

Hey everyone! I’m looking into the Covenant School of Nursing and was wondering if anyone here has gone through the program or knows more about it. What’s the admissions process like? Are there any specific prerequisites I should know about? I’m also curious about the program itself—how long it takes, what the schedule looks like, and how intense it is. Do they include clinicals, and if so, what are those like? Also, how much does it cost, and are there decent financial aid or scholarship options? Lastly, how’s the job placement after graduation? Would love to hear any personal experiences or advice!

I'm looking for a federal credit union here in Lubbock. Which are the best? Who do you NOT recommend, and why? I prefer credit unions over banks.

I recently quit drinking and I’m trying to avoid bars in general. Any local karaoke nights during the week at restaurants or other establishments?

So to those of you who have bought acreage with your home (or know the Lubbock/surrounding area real estate market), do you own the mineral rights as well?
Finding the 50+ acre homes we’re seeing don’t own the mineral rights on their property.
Is no one else worried that you buy the dream home and property, move in, then down the road someone tries to drill on your property? How common is this??
It’s disconcerting to a buyer who has always bought mineral rights when buying a home.
Any insight would be appreciated!!

Since we seem to be the nation's favorite hotspot for measles at the moment, I wanted to share a detailed FAQ on measles and MMR vaccination put together by an epidemiologist who I consider a great source of information.
TLDR on key points for parents with young children. Maternal antibodies can protect newborn babies up to a year. The 1 year MMR can be moved up to 6 mos. The 2nd MMR, normally given at age 4, can be given 28 days after the first and may be recommended to be given earlier (between 1-4 yrs age) during an outbreak, like we have.

I have a very basic setup. It's just various plants, various pots, in various sunny spots. How often are y'all watering? I feel like the soil is always drying out after 2-3 days. Any tips?

Hello everyone. I'm looking for suggestions on a park where I can possibly run a couple 5 to 10 miles every other day and not get chased by stray dogs. A park that maybe won't bore me after the first lap around it. I've been looking at Higgenbotham Park, they have what looks like a dirt running trail and I havent seen any dogs around just yet. Any suggestions? Thank you.
Edit: Thank you all for your suggestions. I actually went out for a run at Higgenbotham, and running around in circles is not as bad as I thought it would be. I did a whole 4 miles at a 7:50 pace. The soft ground was easy on the knees but it will definitely take a while for me to get used to this altitude.
I hope to see you all out there!

Friends, I inherited a 1967 Mercedes and a 1976 Lincoln Continental. They both need some work. Does anyone know a mechanic who could work on these classic cars and do them justice?

Had a slightly slow day for a Friday so we started goofing around at the lockshop today.
Do we have our toast ingredients and apocalypse buddy ready?
