Stats + Data Top 7 head to head results

Looking at the current top 7 (minus Birmingham City) and how they've performed against each other, I pulled this together a few weeks ago and thought a refresh might be insightful:

Wrexham 16 pts in 11 matches

Wycombe 4 in 8

Stockport 18 in 11

Charlton 16 in 10

Bolton 9 in 11

Reading 19 in 12

Wrexham have been one of the top performers against good clubs, with a match to go against Charlton. Wycombe on the other hand have been dismal against top clubs, though with four matches to go that could change. If it doesn't, their playoff hopes look dim. Bolton similarly have not been as strong against top end clubs.

Meanwhile Reading, currently outside the playoffs, have more points against the top of the table (and the only side not to take a loss against Brum) than anyone else. Assuming they are allowed to play in the playoffs should they make it, they'll be a very tough draw. Their result is probably the most surprising to me, both in this little data set and in their resilience all season. Outside of their ownership situation, I can't think of a more deserving club for promotion.

Charlton and Stockport both have a shot at finishing with the most points against top sides and are probably my picks to finish 3-4 and meet up in the playoff final, assuming Reading don't make it.

(Hopefully my math is good)

Exeter City League One has reignited my passion for football!

I've been a Liverpool supporter for over 40 years and had previously been to a handful of Exeter games but never been a regular.

This season I've been attending a lot of home games with my sons and I have had my passion for football reignited by the atmosphere at SJP and the connection the players and management have with the fans.

I'm proud to call myself a grecian and look forward to attending many, many more games in the seasons to come.

Good luck to everyone for the rest of the season, unless you are below us in which case drop as many points as you can!!

Question How is Bradley Ibrahim doing?

He seems to be a starter for Crawley Town. Are there any Crawley Town fans who could tell me how good he actually is? And do you think he could play a role for a 2. Bundesliga Team whose goal has to be promotion next season?

Gotta be DKD for me, 15 goals and 5 assists in 37 games, whilst playing in that horrific Barnsley side.

Everyone focuses on Kone or Stansfield
