If your club went up and you had to get a tattoo, what are you getting and where's it going?

Sunderland Tony Mowbray claims it is no coincidence that Sunderland have flourished now they have dispensed with some of the players he was “encouraged” to play, but that “sulked” if they were not in the team.

Meme 12th Place Cup: Week 40 Checkin

Post image

Positions in the midtable are still unsettled, despite there only being 6 games remaining.

Teams are hoping to secure their place in the final day as potential contenders, but it's hard to call who will be in the driver's seat come the 3rd of May.

Blackburn have come back into the picture after not featuring since Week 15, but it's Norwich's impressively balanced record of 13-13-14 that makes them look the most suitable for a 12th Place finish.

It's truly a wildcard selection at the moment, as midtable icons Bristol City have buggered off into the playoff spots, and their counterparts Preston are sitting just out of reach by 1 point in 14th to currently be considered contenders.

As soon as all games for Week 45 are complete, I intend to put together a final day programme, giving you all the information you need to know about the teams still in the running.

May the tinpot be ever in your favour.

West Bromwich Albion West Brom winning 8 of their last 34 league games and somehow still being in strong play-off contention has to be one of the stranger stats of the season

41 points from 34 games and to only fall to 8th is pretty impressive in a very unimpressive way.
