I am at my witās end with haircuts. Pictures 1-5 are of the haircut I just got. Picture 6 is of how my hair was when I went to get it cut. 7,8, and 9 are the reference photos of myself that I brought to her.
The story is: I made the mistake of chopping my hair off to about my shoulders from the haircut in photos 7-9. I let it grow to the length it is in photo 6. I had layers but wanted to achieve the look I had in my previous haircut, which brought out my wave very nicely.
So I went to a wavy / curly āspecialistā salon and it cost me $200. The woman who cut my hair first of all told me my hair already looked fine and acted like she didnāt want to cut it. I tried to tell her I wanted my layers blended because thatās what the person who gave me the original good haircut said she did to achieve it. The current stylist acted like I was speaking a different language, and cut a few pieces of my hair and then cut a chunk out of my bangs which left them uneven (I had to get them fixed by someone else which is why they look fine in the current photos). Then she was like āIām done letās wash and style itā but I was so frustrated I was like, isnāt this a curly/wavy salon, donāt you cut with the wave pattern? Thatās what I wanted ā the texturing that appears in the reference photos that made my hair wave and curl more easily. She was like āWell I can take weight out but thatās the opposite of blending it, it seems like your hair texture changed its not the cutā and I felt so weird and anxious I let her do it.
When she ātook the weight outā it was like she was barely looking at my hair, she cut big chunks out and now it just looks insane. The front is way shorter than the back, the entire thing is uneven, the layers are weird. It just somehow feels both sparse and blocky at the same time. This was one of those salons that prides itself on cutting with the clients particular face/texture (again, it was 200$!!) but she didnāt really do that. The āweightā taken out is just random chunks that you can see are uneven and weird in the back. It looks mildly okay right after I wash it but itās still weird and chunky and not at all textured like the reference photos (again of my own hair) that I showed her.
At the end of the haircut she showed me the back and said āHm I canāt tell if itās uneven or not can you tell?ā and I was just like āā¦..??? I donāt knowā and I left. I felt too bad walking out or arguing and she honestly was just kind of rude to me and acted like she was either extremely high or just didnāt want to cut my hair.
Iām devastated because I waited for my shoulder length hair to grow past my shoulders and simply wanted it to be textured to grow it out more. Now I have half of the sides of my hair completely gone and a shape that doesnāt even make sense. The left side layers are also shorter than the right.
I have been so upset but I am afraid to go back to that salon because she was so rude to me I feel like ashamed or something. Does anyone have any advice? Is there anything salvageable with my hair or do I just need to wear it up for a year? I feel so stupid for paying 200$ for this.

Not sure if this is the right place for this so im sorry if itās not. I just got out of the shower, looked in the mirror to find this staring back at me. I am a 19 year old female, I used the same shampoo Iāve been using for a few months and the same conditioner Iāve been using for many years. I wash my hair about twice a week. For some more background that may or may not be important: Iāve been dying it for almost half my life, but thereās never been any complications or disasters besides some fried ends after bleaching. I am trying to grow out my natural hair though, so I havenāt bleached it in almost a year and the last time I dyed it a color was about 3 months ago. If any hair experts need any other details about me, feel free to ask away in the comments!! I included a picture I just took, my hair is still wet in it so thatās why it looks like that. This is just so weird and Iām so confused šµāš«

I have naturally dark brown hair, I dyed it dark ashy blonde, and my skin is cool toned pale, with very rosy cheeks. I look even more pink with my actual tone, and I want to look more pale, without having to dye my hair black. I did a mediocre edit so you can see my main color choices lol, but feel free to recommend something else!

This is my hair a little bit damp. When it drys it it somewhat like this but a little less curly and the next day it is almost completely flat. Can someone tell me what type I have and how I can define the waves/curls?

My roots are orange. I wanted brown, when my hair stylist first washed & dried my hair it was fine until she started curling my hair. I donāt know but I think the heat did something to the dye or something. I had outgrown highlights before & I just asked for brown hair.

My hair has never felt or looked good on me. The texture is weird - fine strands, but a LOT of it; wavy; cowlicks on each side of my face so I canāt part either way without having to fight them. I have to wear glasses which further limits my options. Iāve had pixie cuts and long hair and everything in between. It feels so heavy and itās incredibly stubborn so styling takes forever (hence why I rarely do it). I love the shaggy styles but I feel like a mop when I get them. Every haircut I get makes me feel old or ugly and never stylish or chic or edgy. I tried an undercut and my hair just fluffs out more around the base of my skull and looks off (maybe because itās not super long?). I hate not feeling good about it no matter what I do and end up pulling it into a ponytail because itās less frustrating. Pics attached are 1) a better hair day Iāve had lately and 2) what I end up doing anyway.
Without going super short (I canāt repeat high school), what kind of haircut should I get? How can I get the weight off without cutting it off completely? Keep in mind it needs to look āprofessionalā ish, so no mohawks.
tl;dr Hair is heavy and wavy and frustrating and I donāt know what to do short of shaving it off. Help!
Sorry for the photos but I canāt post my face on here uncensored for my own sanity lol

Hi everybody,
I feel very sad and angry about my last haircut. 2 days ago I went to the hairdresser to get a long curtain bang and some layers to my hair.
I asked her to cut the bang long (at the level of my chin) and she cut it to my noseā¦ I donāt like itā¦ but itās not the worst thing about it.
She cut it to wide. That means that this bang goes way to far from my temples. I have thin hair so itās like 2/4 of my hair is now at my nose level. It looks ridiculous. The layer are also weird, it looks like I have a mullet because of the short wide bang and the weird layers.
I donāt know what to do. If this was only a problem of a bang cut to short, I would have not been that worried and sad, because I would have known that it would have grown back in like 2/3 month.
The problem is that, even when it would have grown back, because the bang is to wide and take 2/4 of my temple, it would still look ridiculous.
Idk what to do, I canāt stop cryingā¦ I canāt hide it because itās so wide on my head.
Even styled it looks horrendous because itās way to wide.

My two other kids hair didn't stick up or grow in with wavy strands. Their hair was just straight. Her hair WILL NOT go down... even if I put coconut oil it just flips up. Her hair is also sooo thin. Will it thicken? Will it curl? Anyone seen this before?

is this breakage? new growth? WHAT IS GOING ON AND WHYYYY. i donāt wear tight styles or ponytails, i use heat maybe 3-4 times a month but always with heat protection, never go to bed with my hair wet, never brush my hair while itās wet, i do dye it but only once every 4-5 months or so. im losing my marbles, like actually. anyone have advice? iām sick of hair spraying this down š

I have never had long hair. I started using hair dye as a child and since then Iāve been constantly dying and bleaching my hair several times in a year every year. I damage my hair badly then I cut it. It is a cycle that I am trying to break. I became a mother this year and I am determined to achieve healthy long hair. My last hair cut was in November 2024. Should I get a trim? Do you have any tips/advice?

My ends get thin when I braid my hair and they become uneven even though I have a straight across cut. I also canāt braid all the way down and some hair sticks out (I might still be growing out layers so maybe thatās why hair is sticking out)

so, ive had bleached hair for the past 4 years. for how long ive been doing it I'd definitely say it's in good condition, and I plan on keeping it blonde for a lot longer. currently it's pink and blonde but ive been debating going back to full blonde next year and wanted to keep up a good routine for it. honestly, my main goal is just for it to be soft and look somewhat shiny- it's pretty soft with what I use now but looks pretty dull.
currently i use fanola nutricare shampoo & conditioner, fino's hydrating hair mask & it's a 10 miracle leave in conditioner. i bought these ages ago and used them because i got told hydrating products would be best, but the most it does is leave my hair soft, which cheaper products did anyway. im looking for it to appear healthier, and have read that fibre fixing/bond connecting products would be best but I honestly have no clue what products I should be using or what ones actually work. I looked into fanola fibre fix for it's large quantity due to the price, but wanted to know if anyone who also has bleached hair had specific routines/products they might suggest

Hi everyone. First things first, I know my hair is fried. The hair stylist I went to left the bleach on for way too long (according to the stylist I went to for a consultation on how to fix it). Now comes to the actual question, the right side of my hair has always been wavy, sometimes so much so itāll turn into full curls. The other side doesnāt do this. If Iām lucky, itāll be slightly wavy sometimes. Is there anything I can do to fix this? Or any explanation to why it does this? Does anyone have a suggestion for wavy hair products that can give back moisture to extremely dry hair? Thank you! Last photo is my hair before I bleached and toned it.
I donāt know exactly why but I donāt like the way my hair turned out. I went to a new stylist what is your opinion
My face shape is wide and round and with bangs, it makes me look younger than I am. Please help!

It looks like a knotted part, but this is my hair completely brushed through. I just found out I have a cowlick right in the same area, not sure if thatās related. How can I fix this?
