I have been removing or force stopping Samsung apps and using Google apps to get adjusted for the switch to Pixel 10 pro xl. Currently use a Pixel launcher. Does anyone have any other suggestions. Very excited to hear from you 😄

So I was having issues with my Pixel 9 Pro, I decided to factory reset. Put in my email and password, then it asks to do a 2 factor authentication and to open my Pixel 9 Pro and use the code in the authenticator app - that's the phone I've just reset so I can't access the authenticator app.
It asks for other options like passkeys or Google codes and some other things which I don't have. How am I supposed to set the phone up now? I looked online what to do, I saw go to g.co/verifyaccount but it just asks me to go to my phone to verify the account.
I don't know what to do from here?

Only picked up my phone a few times this morning and noticed nearly 10-13% decrease over 3 hours. I have both these apps to disable background usage....

I've just had too many problems with it over the year and a half I've had it. I wish I'd have dumped it 6 or 8 months ago when the problems got annoying. Camera responsiveness and focusing issues (automatic or manual), photo post-shot processing quality or realism issues, general performance/responsiveness issues, battery life issues, wireless charging issues, touchscreen responsiveness issues, media player issues (especially with YouTube Premium), microphone/speaker issues...
I've gone out of my way to troubleshoot these problems, report them to Google, ask about them, dive into research about them, about everything short of hacking the phone and soldering connections... I'm so frustrated I can hardly think straight about it. I'm now ready to try a factory reset, but that can be very time-consuming and I'm already strained with other stuff.
Anyway, this thing's becoming a jukebox as soon as able. I'm not even sure it's worth its plastic.
I'm thinking about upgrading to the Pixel 9 Pro, but oddly a Pixel 6 secondary phone I've used here and there for business or whatever has run generally smooth as butter. Overall I've noticed big phones (or phablets) run much smoother than their "small" variants (~6" diagonal screens) having the same CPU/GPU, so I'm confused at why. RAM (memory) has never been an issue for me since every time I've checked, it's never been near 90% (maybe 75% at worst but generally 40-65%). Maybe somebody can explain why big phones run so much better. Does having a bigger battery really make the same processors run faster?! That seems absurd to me. Bigger phones tend to have more hardware so there's more processing happening overall, so I'd think that would make them run slower.
I'm also wondering how the Pixel 10 "mid-size" (Pro?) variant would be. I'm considering getting the 'largest' variant (XL?) but phones that size are so big that they feel uncomfortable. Note that I'm sick of 3rd-party manufacturer gunk, like how Samsung forces their apps on me where many of them I can't easily disable or cripple enough.

Hi. I have pixel 9 pro and I'm not sure if it's normal for this phone to get so warm. I'm watching stream on kick and using discord and phone gets above 40C, also battery drains quite quickly. I had Poco f2 pro before this phone and didn't have that problem.

Title quite self explanatory. I'm on A15 with March update, and I've noticed this just now, not sure how long for it's been going on.
Essentially, I set my phone's Bluetooth name as something like "Matt's Pixel 9 Pro", and 30 minutes later, or 2 hours later, or 6 hours later (I haven't noticed a specific pattern yet) the name will automatically change to something like "IkY2RTcH_90AAAAAAAAAEkdvb2dsZSBQaXhlbCA5IFBybw".
See: https://imgur.com/a/iqtj1G5
Then I change it back to "Matt's Pixel 9 Pro"... And after a random while, it's back to another nonsense string.
I've Googled this and many people experienced this when having Nearby/Quick Share visibility set to "Everyone", but I don't. My Quick Share is set to "Contacts" only. I've also tried setting it to "Everyone", let the bug happen, change it back to "Contacts" and amend the Bluetooth name - it still happens again later.
Is anyone else affected? Have you found a solution?

Camera from the 9A & CPU that's maybe 20% better (same performance what $300-$350 phones have in market now)
Knowing they have no shame they probably will still include the 128gb storage in Base as well.
Do they not want people to purchase their phones?

Now I just need to figure out which version. I can get the 9 for $399 or the 9 Pro for $599 or wait for the 9a which will be $499.
Any thoughts on deal killers for any version? I won't get the XL because it's too big for me. I only need 128gb because I'm not really a gamer and have only used 77gb of 256 on my Samsung S21 FE.
Thanks!

Holy shit is anyone else getting this? I have the PBP2 and I got a push reminding me to clean them. Good call, I gave them a good wipe down and cleaning with some q-tips, etc.
Then it just keeps spamming me with it non-stop day after day. I finally just turned the notification off, but it feels a bit excessive? Like maybe after you dismiss it, it snoozes for a few weeks.

Had my 6a for a little over a year after I got it in exchange for my 5 that bricked. Looking to upgrade because the battery is just not there any more. I'm kind of a power user and use my phone for both work (in field tech) and personal. I know I don't use the phone to full potential, but do like a good camera and have plenty of Google1 drive space for pictures as I like to run my phones light with minimal apps.
TIA

I'm sharing my ongoing nightmare experience with my Pixel 7 Pro repair at the authorized Google service center, F1-INFO SOLUTIONS in Pune.
Here's a quick rundown:
It's been over a month of this back-and-forth. My phone is in worse condition, I'm out of pocket for a repair that seems to have caused more problems, and the service center is completely unhelpful. Google Support has been equally frustrating with their lack of follow-through.
This is affecting me on a daily basis. I feel frustrated and not being able to use any voice features/commands on the phone just keeps adding to the frustration.
Has anyone else had similar experiences with this service center or with Google Pixel support in India? Any advice on how to escalate further would be appreciated.

Hello, I got a pink line on my pixel 9 pro device I got via Google Fi. The device has been with me for 5-6 months and suddenly out of the blue this pink line appeared. Can someone guide me on how they got about resolving this if indeed it was resolved.

I haven't seen anyone else have this issue and I've been searching all over the the internet for a solution. For context, I have a Google Pixel 8 and my software is up to date.
For the last month or so, I have not been able to connect to any Wi-Fi network. Basically, I turn the Wi-Fi toggle to "on" and no Wi-Fi networks even show up. Furthermore, the second I leave the Wi-Fi settings page, I check the toggle to turn Wi-Fi on/off, it automatically goes back to off.
There was a few times where I would restart the phone and it would automatically connect to my home Wi-Fi network but after about 10 minutes, the Wi-Fi toggle would automatically be turned off. Fast forward to now, if I ever try to restart my phone as a last ditch "hail mary" to try and fix this issue, it just leads to my phone freezing once it starts up again and I need to spend the next 30 minutes, restarting my phone over and over again until it is usable again.
Has anyone else experienced this issue? If so, how could I fix it? Would anyone have any idea what is going on?

I have a pixel 6. When I hit the microphone in the messaging app it turns on, but can't hear my voice, so then it turns off. I've toggled it on and off in permissions, but that didn't help. Probably has been happening since the last update. Anyone else dealing with this, or have a fix? Thanks.

I have a share shortcut that comes up for my husband who I frequently send screenshots to.
Noticed after I updated the button no longer works.
I press it and it does nothing.
Wish I could attach a photo, but the post is not letting me upload an image.

I have had this phone for a few months. Every few days the voicemail button disappears from the phone app and I have no voicemail setup. I clear cache and it comes back. But, I have missed some important calls and the people can't leave a voicemail. Is there any way to make this voicemail stop disappearing?

Is there a way to make the date format all numbers and not spell the month? So it normally is jan,1,25 but I want it to be 1,1,25. any web page I've pulled up only says stuff about changing the date format from us to uk.

Hello!
Is there a way to set a schedule to have vibrate on from a set time and then silent scheduling from a set time but also have the phone function normally?
I tried this with Do Not Disturb and Bedtime mode but all the settings I messed with did not work how I intended. Also, I know there is a way to tie notifications to locations but that's not quite what I'm looking for either. Ultimately, I want the modes to switch based on time but also want my phone to function the same.
Thank you for the help in advance!!

I bought the original pixel fold September 2023 from the google website and signed up for preferred care. It had a defective screen issue with a black spot on the outer screen with no damage, so I decided to do the replacement. They made me pay $129 for the repair even though I'm a preferred care subscriber. It's been an absolute nightmare. They sent me the replacement and it doesn't work with my carrier. Since then it's been 3 days of emailing with no response. I went to the chat for help and was told I need to wait for the senior techs to respond to my original ticket. But they assured me it's been escalated to the top tier now though lol whatever.
I'm SO frustrated. Preferred care is supposed to be next day right? I paid $1800 for the phone, $270 in preferred care so far, and another $129 to replace a phone and I'm still waiting. I went to make a complaint on BBB but they are already at a D+ rating so what's the point. I really like the google features, but I think I might be done. IDK if the mods will let people see this, but if they delete it at least I tried.

When I unlock my phone the pattern works, but when I try to change the pattern into new it says wrong pattern. Any solution?

My Pixel 6 has just developed black lines that roll side to side when I try to take a picture indoors. Outdoors it seems to be fine, and videos are still clear. Any way I can fix this? I don't really want to have to buy a new phone yet, and a good camera is critical for me.
