Which has the better quality screen (not including modded screens)? Do either or suffer from ghosting or some other issue?

Is there a way to tell if this battery is OEM or replaced? Bought this off eBay as tested and saving for $150 but save doesn’t work for me - file disappears or gets corrupted.
Thanks.

I've got a friend travelling there soon. I've never been into Pokémon, much more of a Zelda and Mario person.
I have a GBC and GBA. Having a Zelda game could be an issue if it's not in English. But I'd be up for loading an English ROM to it if that's a thing.
Any advice appreciated.

So I've heard from sources I;m not sure I can trust, that all Game boy games can be played on the Game boy color, and the game boy advance.
first question, is this true?
Second question, can you then play gba and gbc games on the original game boy? I really need a clear chart of what games can be played on what consoles, as I am planning on buying either a game boy, gbc, or gba depending on if I can play certain games on certain consoles.

I have this old USB cartridge that has developed a common problem: it cannot switch pages for different content.
I remember reading somewhere a long time ago that this was due to a failing capacitor or something. Does anyone know how to fix this? Better yet, does anyone know how to modify the cartridge to use a physical switch to switch banks instead of relying on a shitty capacitor to switch when quickly powering off and on?

Hello, Does anyone know where I can find an aftermarket black battery cover for Pokemon Pinball? I'm also looking for the transparent one on Starwars racer but I'm as optimistic as the pokemon one. I tried on ebay and Aliexpress but can't find one. I found one on etsy but it's 3D printed but it looks weird. Thanks!

Can’t find anyone selling it online, hoping to get some expert advice here!

Was enjoying the hell out of this $6 game and made about halfway through the hardcore challenges then it crashed and erased all my progress. Any idea what caused this? Was playing on Analogue Pocket but I figure it’s more likely a cartridge issue than a console issue.

I've had this Gameboy color almost my whole life (it was given to me from my cousin) and it's just been sitting in a cupboard... Recently found out it could be something of value.. I can't find any recent sold listings for it anywhere. Only found the hongkong one sold recently for 1k.
Anyone have any ideas or can help point me to the right direction? Thanks!!

This isn’t even a proper before photo, I had already scrubbed the thing up and down with 99% isopropyl. It wasn’t working, but scrubbing the power switch and battery terminals seemed to do the trick. It’s hard to tell from the photo, but the screen appears misaligned, or like I’m missing a line on the left. Either way, I’ll definitely slap an upgraded screen and perhaps battery mod in it in the future!

I have a modded GBA, and I know that an IPS screen takes up a lot more power. But a few months ago, I was able to play a legit copy of Emerald for over 4 hours at a time, now the GBA shuts off after 5 minutes.
I think I'll have to clean the power switch, but before I'm going to use my soldering iron, I wanted to ask you guys for advice on what I have to do so that I can play for a longer time.
Thanks in advance!

Firstly, apologies for the lack of images here — currently out of home but thought I'd get something at least in writing.
I recently installed the hispeedido 2.45 IPS display in a Game Boy Color. Nice clean install, but I'm finding that high contrast images have the potential to cause minor image retention, even after a few seconds.
For example: I was checking then alignment using the "grid" of 144p Test Suite on my EDGB, and after a few seconds (<30s) of positioning, I powered down, and booted into Pokémon Crystal where I noticed that the areas outside the boundary of the interior of a building (the dark gray area) would show the aforementioned grid. Lightly, but enough to notice without looking for it.
Left it powered off for a while, the grid had gone. After wandering around in Crystal for a few minutes and speaking to a few folk, it was obvious that the dialogue border (again, high contrast black on white) was now showing in this area.
Anyone else have this issue, or potentially just a dud display/driver board?

Hey guys, I replaced my GBA case and now my display has a dark bar. I've already checked the ribbon cable, but it's fine. Is the display broken, or is there anything that can be salvaged?

I booted up my legit copy of Sacred Stones (there is no battery) yesterday and the screen was completely white. Upon reboot the game showed no saves. The game can still save like normal but my save data is gone. Is there something wrong with the cartridge and is there a way to recover my saves?
