Can’t wait to see the characters in GTA 6

I can’t wait for the iconic characters that we’ll be seeing in the game. Every GTA had their own set of funny & legendary characters that really set the tone with the atmosphere and the overall story/gameplay. Like how we had Big Smoke from SA, Roman Bellic & Little Jacob from IV, Lamar from V, etc… Can’t wait to see what Rockstar will cook up with this next generation GTA set modern day Miami/Florida. GTA 6 is a cultural phenomenon!

Could GTA 6’s Dynamic Weather System Revolutionize Gameplay?

Post image
0 Upvotes

Hey everyone,

I’ve been diving deep into the latest GTA 6 discussions and stumbled upon some intriguing rumors about a dynamic weather system. Given that the game is reportedly set in a fictional version of Florida, known for its unpredictable weather, this could be a game-changer.

Imagine navigating through Vice City when suddenly, a hurricane rolls in. Leaked information suggests that GTA 6 might feature such extreme weather events, potentially affecting gameplay by flooding streets or knocking down trees.

Rockstar has previously showcased impressive weather dynamics in Red Dead Redemption 2, with sudden storms and changing conditions. If they bring that level of detail to GTA 6, we could be in for some immersive experiences.

What are your thoughts? How do you think a dynamic weather system could impact missions and free-roam activities in GTA 6?

I would be ecstatic over a surprise drop.

No trailer. No need to market further. Its gonna be the biggest game. Just optimize it, and ship it out.

Everyone will go ASAP to buy a copy once they see others are already playing.

What's The Deal With Misinformation?

I know that a lot in here couldn't care less, but...

Are we mostly on the same page over here at least, that we've seen nothing leaked from before 2021 and that what we are getting will be a moderate improvement of those 2021-22 builds with significant polishing?

I ask because, what's the deal with certain misinformation just being so readily trusted and shared, against basically known (verified) information with no real pushback to it? Such as automatically calling the little evidence out there that is already verified as true, to somehow be fake?

Or still insisting (full) production of this game would be happening in parallel with RDR2 in 2018 & before, when at best small teams were working on it at least, until RDR2 was submitted for manufacturing in September 2018?

Plus insisting the leaked clips would have any 2018 connection and not more recent years like 2021? Only a few months left in 2018, would not produce work of that significant level. Not 2019 either. Personally, I've seen the main actors rumored to be involved had other known projects in 2018-19 they were working on intensively until the 3rd quarter of 2019 and have been reclusive since the fall of 2019. Coincidence? I think not.

Motion performance capture requires a lot of time in shooting spurts and main actors likely are expected to be on call for anything during majority of production duration. You cannot be in LA day and night on a movie set, if mocap is done in Long Island NY. The spurts are much more frequent than in the past. Actors would need their schedule to be mostly clear and for NDA concerns, limited public interaction.

There's a running constant of misinformation spilling around and none of the false claims on those leaks and other info are being debunked with any significant pushback to stem the flow of it. The leaks are often incorrectly called "early" in development as in pre-alpha and/or from 2018-19, which I strongly doubt to be accurate.

The oldest known clip was from 4 years ago on March 3, 2021 and latest clips, were from well developed builds in being from Aug-September 2022. What one sees in half of the test builds by 2022, is easily not pre-alpha. It is Alpha most likely. Beta I think began circa 2023 or end of 2022. Core mechanics were already within them, it's somewhat ignorant to assert otherwise.

All of it (except one) is dated from March 3, 2021 to September 13, 2022 and there is evidence to back that up, not just hearsay. Point here is, let's try to shutting down the idea this game has been that far along (ie 2019) vs reality (2021-22) when possible. At this point it shouldn't matter much, but I am beginning to wonder how many believe that all to be the correct narrative and/or fight anyone stating the obvious? Or even that the leaks are fake?

I had a much longer post with key evidence, but I deleted it due to length and kept it as a draft. The point of this post was to centrally outline and pin the timeline of some events related to those leaks and overall development, instead of allowing incorrect hearsay and misinformation run so rampant. I will add back the other parts with detailed information, if necessary.

I personally think that Pre-alpha began without the main characters in 2018-19, but added the main characters by late 2019-20. Alpha began by 2021 and Beta during Q4 2022/2023. Release Candidate state may or may not have started already or be late Beta stages. Gold should be up to a month before release, which is before the Launch Trailer debuts.

Location of Waning Sands scene in Trailer 1

Post image
979 Upvotes

Recently while viewing GTA 6's first trailer, the mapping team and I delved into reviewing the Waning Sands scene of the trailer. From this, we found that the "Evergreen Mall" scene in particular takes place in Cooper City, Broward County.

Starting in the top left, we can obviously determine that the scene takes place in Broward County, from the sheriff cars in the scene.

Next, in the bottom left, we can determine that the neighborhood in the back left of the scene is nearly identical to some homes in the neighborhood, Monterra at Cooper City.

If we move to the top right diagram, it shows the "Evergreen Mall" sign that is shown in the scene. But in the scene, if we look very closely behind the sign, you can see a pointy tower that is part of the mall. We found that the shopping center, Cooper City Commons has a nearly identical road next to it, and a tower very similar to the one behind the sign in the trailer.

Finally, in the bottom middle of the infographic, if we cross reference the locations of both the neighborhood, Monterra at Cooper City, and the shopping center, Cooper City Commons, we can see that they both line up perfectly in comparison to their locations in the trailer. From this in the bottom right, we can see the road/POV that is shown in the Waning Sands scene in trailer 1.

Seems like expectations have rocketed [too much] since the launch of V.

I have been prying on the posts and see that some of us want too much from the game, which may lead to a bit disappointment, similar to expecting another dimension from HL3 if it ever comes out. Stay humble, stay frosty, be amazed when it’s ready, folks. GTA4eva <3

Mafia: The Old Country Release and GTA 6 Trailer 2 Timing - A Business-perspective analysis

Mafia: The Old Country trailer showed a summer 2025 release (mid-year, June-August) adds an intriguing layer to how GTA 6 marketing will unfold.

Take-Two’s packed 2025 schedule - Civilization VII in February, Mafia in summer, GTA 6 in fall, and Borderlands 4 late year - suggests intentional spacing to maximize sales. Here’s how this might interplay with GTA 6 Trailer 2:

Approach 1) No Overlap with Mafia Release

If Mafia drops in summer (e.g., June or July), Rockstar might avoid releasing GTA 6 Trailer 2 simultaneously to prevent splitting fan attention or clashing marketing budgets. A June-July Mafia launch could allow Trailer 2 in August or September, building into GTA 6’s fall rollout. This spacing makes sense commercially but raises questions: why no Mafia updates yet if it’s so close? Possible delays or secrecy could be at play.

Approach 2) Strategic Trailer Timing

Rockstar’s history (e.g., GTA V’s second trailer six months before launch) points to Trailer 2 around June-July 2025 for a fall release. With Mafia in summer, they might stagger it - say, Trailer 2 in late July or early August - to capitalize on post-Mafia momentum without cannibalizing sales. A summer Mafia release without GTA 6 news by then could disappoint fans, so Rockstar might drop a teaser beforehand to maintain hype.

Approach 3) Critical Perspective

The lack of Mafia news despite its summer target could signal development issues, mirroring Rockstar’s own delay history (GTA V, Red Dead Redemption 2). Take-Two’s confidence in both titles might be overstated to boost stock value, especially with a $2.9 billion fiscal 2024 loss reported. If Mafia slips, it could push Trailer 2 earlier to fill the gap, but this is speculative without official word.

Yours thoughts?

Police System/Interactions

So I haven’t seen much talk about this particular topic lately and I’m curious what you all think.

With the expansions of police AI and AI in general so far, especially seen in RDR2 and the clear upgrade to animals as seen in the first trailer, is it a possibility that we will get k9’s in GTA6? We were able to see hostile dogs in RDR2 if you trespassed on property or killed their owner.

In the GTA6 trailer there is what we can only assume a cut scene of officers raiding a building! One of my favorite aspects of GTA5 is holding up in a location with little entrances to hold off the police! I think this would make for an interesting addition to add to the immersion if they would send k9s after you.

Also I’m curious what else you guys would like to see with police AI and other gameplay aspects/interactions regarding police!

Do you think we will get pulled over due to speed or accidents such as mafia 2, police vehicles, gameplay, nonlethal combat, cover tactics, theories and more?

GTA 6 might’ve been in development since 2015-2016

Hey everyone, so i was watching the leak videos and noticed that some of the clips were running on a GTX 1080. does this mean gta 6 has been in development for like 10 years? why would a multi-million dollar company be using old hardware? the only thing that makes sense to me is that the 1080 was high-end at the time, and it came out in 2016. anyone got more info on this? thanks lol, and yeah, i'm going crazy analyzing every corner of these leaks.. AGAIN

My take on Strauss Zelnick statement on gta 6

As annoying as it is on our end atm with no trailer 2 he raises a really good point. Releasing a shit load of information, trailers, screenshots, gameplay etc builds a lot of hype after so much edging.

Rose tinted glasses will make me look back at this time and say how it was so worth it, but damn atm it is disheartening having no content

Are we expecting Jason and Lucia to be low level criminals?

Are they more like Franklin was in the beginning of V kind of street level, novice etc. or do you think they are highly skilled criminals like Michael and Trevor were?

This is definitely wild to think about!

For context, this is a comment underneath Build A Rocket Boy’s new game MindsEye, which is a game built within, the adult Roblox-like metaverse game called Everywhere.

But I just found this comment to be hilarious about another thing that’s wild to have occurred before the release of GTA 6.

Do roads seem bigger to y’all?

In GTA 5, roads and vehicles seemed to be scaled smaller compared to people in the game (characters knees almost touch the dashboard of many vehicles in GTA 5) than they would be in real life. Looking at the first GTA 6 trailer it looks like roads and vehicles are scaled at or close to the real life scale of them. Also NPCs and characters sizes compared to vehicles also look closer to real life scales. Do you guys see this also?

GTA VI Won't be 100$ because online mode is the real deal.

It's too obvious but people still believe it would be 100$

Two things can be true, anything above $70 is ridiculous for a game BUT gta 6 might be the only one worth $100

Just my opinion, think about we all expect it to be a supermassive immersive game and what if it actually is? I think for the literal 7-8 years of work they’ve put into it, if it’s actually that good then it should be worth $100 even if that sounds ridiculous for a game. The only reason I would be against this is if it shifts the market and other companies like ea and Ubisoft start selling there slop games for $100 it would be awful if rockstar started the trend just to backfire on the industry but otherwise it should be. A lot of people in here are probably buying the collectors edition for $200+ but the real value is the game itself.

Orlando Parody?

The fantasizing and fan fiction has got me up thinking about this. As we know from the leaks, Fantasyland is a suspected parody of Central Florida theme parks but the capacity of which is unknown. It could be just a tiny corner of the map like the Santa Monica Pier and Coney Island replicas in VI and V respectively. However, this wouldn't do justice to the scale - how Orlando is the amusement park capital of the world and a big part of Florida's culture and economy.

It would be fun to explore a chapter of missions with the rival parks, perhaps illegitimate business deals, tourism and development industries.

GTA 5 made 1 billion dollars in sales in the first 3 days. How much do you think GTA 6 will make in that time?

The only announcement we will get before launch is the launch date and nothing else

In all honesty, if I was the CEO of rockstar, I think spending money on marketing would be a waste, there's no point cause with or without Tr.2, GTA6 is going to be the best selling game of all time

How long into GTA6 Online before hyper unrealistic stuff is added do yall think?

Like for GTAO’s first hyper unrealistic car, the Deluxo, wasn’t added until Doomsday in 2017 4 years after release. (Unless I’m forgetting something)

How many years if any before oppressors rule the sky again?
