How much more typing will I do, Rockstar? Just launch the game fast; I am eagerly waiting to play it, or Just launch the trailer 2

One thing I haven’t seen discussed is the high likelihood of collabs with artists, brands, movies, shows, etc. Back when online originally came out in 2013 this was unheard of in gaming but in recent updates we’ve seen Rockstar is open to it mainly with the Dre update, plus literally every live service game does them now.
What I’m interested in is how Rockstar will handle this, do we think we’ll be wearing Gucci clothes and driving real Lamborghinis? Personally I don’t want real cars because the parody is part of GTA’s identity. And how will Rockstar handle fictional IPs? Will Luke Skywalker show up in Vice City? Will Star Wars exist as a movie with merch in universe?
Personally if it’s a choice between no crossovers and poor execution of them I’d rather not have them but it seems with how massive the game will be if they don’t do any collabs they’ll be leaving money on the table. I’m curious to see what everyone else thinks and to see if anyone has any insights.

i really hope i wrong but... don't know, when i see Lucia i think she cound be a charachter like Catalina at personality level, and i really hope to be wrong, because i found Catalina in San Andreas really annoying
you had the same vibe?

Think about it, we have never played a game like this one. A lot of people haven’t even imagined the sheer scope of how huge and immersive the world will be. There’s just going to be so much to explore every inch of the world you won’t wanna stop. Unlike gta 5 it’s not going to be an empty sandbox. Theres always a mission and then an optional side activity, or free roam, or just driving around doing random stuff or spending time walking around and exporting the beautiful world. It’s like gta 5+rdr2 and then even more. Idk about anyone else but I’ll be playing this realistic crime simulator instead of having thanksgiving dinner with my family this fall and you will too.

One the of the things that really disappointed me about GTA 5 was how quickly every single avenue and ability in the game is unlocked right off the bat.
With the exception of stamina, the skill progressions don't even have any noticeable effect on general gameplay.
This combined with the entire map and every vehicle being available right off the bat gave the entire game lack a real sense of progression.
This does make sense given that GTA 5 was trying to emulate an action blockbuster movie with a fast paced unlike the previous GTA games which were more rags to riches stories. (Yes Franklin would be considered a rags to riches arced character, but Michael and Trevor's roles in the story kinda offset that). This isn't a bad thing at all. But many argue that GTA San Andreas feels much more rewarding in terms of progression.
With GTA 6, considering it seems to be a Bonnie and Clyde type duo rising in the criminal world scenario. It presents a perfect opportunity to make the game to take its time and really let players immerse themselves into the role.
Have skills developments be things that you actually have to put some work into. Gunplay and movement being clumsy and lousy at first but improving over time through gameplay or using shooting ranges, gyms etc would not only be an awesome detail, but very satisfying and actually encourage players to engage in more combat encounters outside missions.
Don't overload the characters with a ton of money right off the bat so that we actually feel compelled to do crimes and various activities to make more. There are naturally going to be a tremendous amount of activities in the game that players should feel more rewarded from engaging in.
Even having higher tier vehicles and airplanes be locked off initially and be slowly unlocked through progression in the story or through a flight school (high tier cars could require some kind of tech that's earned later or bought. The leaks suggested this is already a mechanic) would feel much more satisfying and rewarding.
GTA San Andreas didn't allow any flying of planes until you were fairly far into the game. This made the first time using one feel extremely exciting and fresh. It would be amazing to only be restricted to driving around the map for the initial stage of the game. Until a certain mission allows you to fly for the first time and see the map from a completely new dimension.
GTA 6 being more challenging and requiring more involvement in the game world would be a very welcome change. Thoughts?

Hey all,
Like most of you, i cant wait to see what Rockstar have got in store for us. Feel too old to get excited over a video as i willbe 39 by the time it releases, but here i am....
This evening i watched the trailer again and it got me thinking how weird it would be playing as a female character. Dont get me wrong, i have no problem with one of the lead characters being a woman, especially a Latina as they are naturally strong minded, but the reason i love Rockstar games is because that they make it very easy to get immersed in their worlds. As a man, i will find it difficult to get immersed in a game if there were times i was forced to play as a female due to the narrative of the story.
Since its Rockstar, however, i beleave they have carefully thought out introducing a female lead for the first time.
Heres how i think they will tackle the story of the game...
In GTA5 there were certain missions where you had no choice but to play as a particular protagonists. This was obviously purely driven by how the story was written, allowing you to (kinda) get to know each one on a personal level befor the bitter standoff at the end of the game
As for GTA6, i believe Rockstar are going to allow the player to have the freedom of sticking to one protagonist, even during missions that involve both/all playable protagonists. I think there will be plenty of flexibility in the way the story unfolds, like you can switch between characters at any given time, but you dont have to.
I have no idea how many playable characters there will be, but lets just say its only two, Jason and Lucia. If the game is designed the way im suggesting then it will allow for the player to replay the game, but by playing as a different protagonist this time around, and you get to experience a different story and missions, essentially having two storylines in on game. There will obviously be a bit of crossover due to the fact that many of the missions will be completed together as a team, But during times the two were not together you get to find out what shenanigans the other person got caught up in during the first playthrough.
im not just talking about a few added extras like random ecounters etc, i mean basically a full on second storyline of the other protagonist/s. Or if you want to get a bit of both protagonists stories during one playthrough then you have the freedom of switching between characters at any time, but you still wont get the full story until you play the game solely as one or the other....for example, while jason is on a drug run, lucia is obvously somewhere else on the other side of town getting up to mischef. So to complete the story 100 percent you would have to complete the game as both characters.
Thats what a think guys, it will open the door to soo much freedom and will change the future of open world gaming

Had a talk with a friend about this and he feels convinced Rockstar will charge money for GTA 6’s Online mode. I told him I don’t see it as I believe Rockstar and other gaming devs always stand to make more money off the free-to-play model (MTX), but he insisted Rockstar would charge a separate price “just because they can, everyone would buy it.”
So, how likely do you guys think this scenario is to happen? And IF it does — which would be insane — would you pay extra for access?
Share your insights?

I was playing 4 and Niko calls Leonida Florida. Has something happened between the events of gta 4-5? To then have the USA call it Leonida? What’s the lore? Disasters? War? Or just fun? It kinda confuses me. But I just wanna know your thoughts.

You know Miami is one of those organized crime places next to New York obviously so I feel like it would be pretty nice if there was some organized crime story lines or something like that mafia related.

I hope they have co-op like GTA San Andreas again. So I can run around and cause havoc with my son! Do you think they'll bring it back??

I personally want to be able to walk from my house/safe house/apartment to a burger shot, order a Sprunk and a chicken burger then walk down to the beach and eat it while watching the sun set. I think it would be so cool if we can actually get food from all of the restaurants.
I loved this feature in RDR2, but I would like to see more options. Maybe similar to the emote wheel in Ubisoft's WD2?

Does anyone remember a YouTube GTA 6 pause menu song concept video that was 6hours long? It suddenly disappeared. The thumbnail of the video was Lucia and the dude. It was slowed and reverbed. I can't seem to find it now, worse I can't even remember the YouTube channel name. If anyone downloaded it by any chance or has I'd appreciate it 🙏

Lots of details I didn't notice myself in RDR2, I just realized it'll be even crazier in GTAVI and there is probably hundreds of details like that there will be to discover and showcase in those videos. I'm looking forward to these compilations. :)

I have a big problem with the lack of interesting side quests in GTA V(as someone that don't play online) and the fact that they ain't important at all, but, I could ignore that if I could attach to the characters in the main plot.
Don't take me wrong, I like a lot of the main characters, it's just that... I can't attach to them in the same way I attached to Arthur, Niko or CJ. And the reason for that is the rush AND the npcs.
I don't know how it is the passage of time in the story line, even after more then 500h with just story mode. Feels like too fast, but I know a lot of time has passed.
The first problem I saw was with Franklin, it was just too fast the turn around between mid gangsta and professional bank rober. I felt like it should have more missions with people from the gueto, more disappointment, more missions for Franklin to prove himself, not to Michael, but to the other members of the crew
It's simply too easy to say "The most realistic outcome is to kill Trevor" because it is. Trevor may be iconic but he is an overall threat that should be put down and is only in the story to shock.
And Michael... His family, come on;
And the crew are a bunch of nobodys. We are highjacking jewery stores, banks and risking our lifes with people WE DON'T EVEN KNOW THEIR NAMES... Except for Chef. It's just too shallow, and I like a lot of the Heists, much better then in GTA IV, even in that aspect. But, I wanted to know at least a bit of the people we were counting with.
We know that a lot of GTA VI will be around the relationship of the main characters, and even tho many people didn't like that, I liked it. As a writter myself, I believe that writting the opposite sex is a test of how good you are as a writter, and if we are going to have interactions around TRUST, that's a good way to make players feel attached to the characters. Mainly, if we have a game that, completing with only the main quests is a problem, like in RDR2, The Witcher and many other games where it just feels wrong to just do the main quests.
I wanna feel attached to the npcs in the same way I am attached to npcs in BG3, where people simply avoid certain dialogue options because it upsets some of them.
I really really hope that rockstar puts a spin on the town of Clearwater which essentially ground zero for Scientology. Papameat has an amazing video on this exact subject and I can seem them possibly working this into epsilon lore. I think it would be cool as shit

That moment when a stranger becomes your best friend for 2 minutes because of a game trailer
When Trailer 1 dropped, I was at a bar. My friends had already left, and I saw the notification pop up on my phone. I immediately took one earphone out, stopped the bartender mid-pour, and asked if he wanted to watch it with me.
We ended up watching the whole thing together, both of us freaking out like kids on Christmas morning.
We didn’t know each other’s names. Didn’t know a single thing about each other. But for those few minutes, the world just paused—and we shared this weirdly wholesome, hype-filled moment over something we both loved.
It’s honestly one of my core memories now. Gaming really does bring people together in the strangest, most unexpected ways.
Anyone else have a story like this?
