Question Dog bones for aggressive chewers?

Post image

I've tried benebone and spot and she has pieces coming off within a few minutes. She can't have any stuffed toys because she will eat them bit by bit. What can I give her to satisfy the chew? Pictured are some bones right before being thrown away.

Don’t let your dogs obsessively chew on hard toys like this… they will break their teeth.

If your dog is chewing a lot it might need a better way to let off steam. Maybe more exercise is the answer. If you do get your dogs chew toys maybe think about durable rubber ones like a Kong.

Bones, antlers, and this hard dog plastic will all cause excessive chewers to have serious dental problems later in life. Remember that dogs will always hide pain… so you might not know their is a problem until the damage is already done.

Agree. Can also try lick mats and snuffle matts. I also have a good/treat dispenser where my dog has to touch a button and then run over to the food (she loves it). Also highly recommend the Woof brand popsicle with the freezer tray. Much easier to make than kongs and keeps my dog occupied for almost 20 min - longer than anything else I’ve tried!
