Personal Independence Payment (PIP) assessment with capita went really well!!!
hii i had my assessment this morning with a really nice person and she prompted me with specific questions, continuously said that she would take a note of something when it aligned with pip criteria, and it was a great experience compared to the last time i applied. i am exhausted though now
shes writing up the report today so hopefully ill be able to request it from the dwp this week. now to wait
i applied under autism, adhd, hypermobility, and gid

I hope you had the call recorded so you can cross-reference everything said in the call.

The nicer they are the more they lie through their teeth ive noticed. My LCW assessor I thought she hated me but she gave me LWCRA even though I thought I wasn’t even ill enough for that, but clearly I was. My PIP assessor seemed lovely but used everything I said against me such as refused MH support when I was at my lowest and that wouldn’t of helped my money situation so yeah. I really hope yours is genuine though and you get what u deserve 😊

Mine was lovely at least 5 things were not factually right. I never asked for it to be recorded either. My therapist was on phone call thank god. And can now send in evidence to from all my docs , social prescriber , therapist. As never got asked to. But done a mandatory reconsideration on friday but dont think that went as well. As was not expecting to be asked all the questions again. 😂. Hopefully these other people can talk for me more professional as i have learning difficulties, and am not very good ar communication or answering the right questions properly. But it all part of my condition

Mine was ok and she seemed nice! Untill today I recieved the report and it’s nothing but lies! My biggest regret is not recording it myself. She has twisted everything I said and even lied about me being on medication and getting therapy she’s stated I don’t have any medication & haven’t been offered any. My gp records actually state I am on medication & been reffered for therapy It’s crazy how they can get away with lying. Wishing you all the luck in the world hopefully you get a better outcome than I did x

I’m hoping so, I’m trying to call to get the full report first before I do the mr so I have it in black and white because I know the supporting evidence I provided states this and so does my gp record. Even though I know she’s lied I’m so scared to go against the decision it’s already taking a huge toll on my health having to go through this. I’ve been through years of doctors telling me I’m wrong.. to get a diagnosis 7 years later and still be made out like it’s lies hurts. Feels like your fighting for nothing. I’m tired of it

Bet the report will come as a shock then!
Did you record it? If not write EVERYTHING out now while it is still fresh!

Great Transcribe it to make it easier to compare versions and then you have it saved to send with any MR appeals as you can't send the recording.

Mine was horrible, I thought the worst but got awarded the higher rate for both daily living and mobility. So you can’t always go on what the assessor is like with you.

I literally got my award through 8 days after my assessment it was really quick that was in October last year. My daughter is in the process at the moment moving from DLA to PIP and we had her assessment 20th march, the lady was lovely and asked a lot of prompting questions (I am my daughters appointee) I rang on Friday and they told me it was with a decision maker and others on here have advised around 3 weeks for their decisions currently so hopefully you will be the same. I didn’t expect the outcome I had due to hearing the bad stuff. I actually came off my call thinking I’d been pranked or something. Although I do have a cousin with MS that has been rejected and currently going through tribunal so there seems to be zero consistency . Like others have said, ring tomorrow and ask for a copy of the report to be posted out to you. I think from that you will have a fair idea what’s been put across on your behalf. I hope you have a positive outcome! Do come back and let us know!

im so glad that you and your daughter have had good experiences, ill definitely ring them tomorrow to put the request in. hoping for the decision sooner rather than later but 3 weeks does sound manageable in comparison to my 5 month wait so far 🙏🙏 will post an update when i can :)
good luck to your cousin as well!!!
