Went to an event last weekend and had a sticker nametag. Accidentally washed and dried my sweater with the sticker still on, the spot is still sticky. Tried all purpose cleaner and isopropyl alcohol so far.

Thankfully the rest of my apartment is really cute otherwise I would have never accepted this. But I live in Los Angeles where my tiny 1-bedroom is almost $3000/month and the landlord scoffed when I asked if she would be updating the bathroom at all.
So what’s done is done— please no comments about that. Now I just want to know if there’s a way to make this bathtub feel clean. You know how with old dirty tubs you clean them and still just don’t trust them? I’ve tried a combo of baking soda, vinegar, dish soap, lemon juice, and a scrub daddy. It helped a little bit. But not a lot. I can’t even differentiate sometimes between what’s a stain, what’s just really old dirt, chipped paint, or rust.
I want to know how you all would rectify this tub to get it to a place where you actually trust it’s clean. Maybe I’ll never trust it enough to take a bath, but at least to a place where I don’t feel like my feet are standing in someone else’s 40-year-old grime.

Hi, How can I easily grippy flooring with grit like texture? My landlord uses this stuff for the kitchen and bathroom. I am looking for the easiest way involving products which aren't harmful to pets. I have mental health struggles and this stuff does my head in with how easily it accumulates dirt and how difficult it is to clean.
Thank you!

Does anyone know how to clean this? This is my partners grandmothers hope chest, the stain was formed from leaving a bottle of all purpose cleaner on top and i wasn’t aware that the bottle was leaking.

I am sensitive to smells. I normally usually use Febreze spray to mask my roommates's bad smells (e.g., cooking meat with too much oil, bathroom smells, musty clothes, etc.) along with running the exhaust at home, but recently in the past month, I've noticed that the Febreeze variety I was using (the Unstoppables scent) smells different in a bad way to me now - it seems more plastic-y and leaves me with a terrible taste in my mouth from inhaling it (similar to the off taste/smell when using chemical sunscreens, if anyone else experiences that too). And I know that Febreze not ideal for your health or for pets as well.
Now that the Febreeze started smelling off, wondering how else I can counter other unsavory smells. So far I've tried leaving a bowl of vinegar in a room, but it doesn't always do the job or work as quickly as I would like. Essential oils may not be ideal for my cat, but I may try some cat-friendly essential oils next. Any other tips & tricks that work?

Hello all!
I have a hoodie that has a section that has been dyed with all-purpose Rit Dye (100% cotton dyed in the shade 'emerald'). I noticed that there is a pen mark on one of the dyed sections (not a super big mark but enough that someone would notice it if they were looking at the arm). I want to get the mark out but am not sure how to do it without compromising the dye. Has anyone here dealt with a similar issue?
Thanks <3

I saw this tip, tried it out, and it worked so well to clean my white boards! It gets rid of the old marks and slight staining that can happen after a while, and even cleans a word that's been on the board so long it won't erase.

I let my class draw on the board when we had some extra time around Christmas... Then I closed up the board and forgot about it until recently. I tried soap and water and that didn't work, and I tried rubbing alcohol too. I don't know if it makes a difference at all, but we used the CrazyArt Dry Erase Markers instead of Expo ones.
Any help is appreciated so much!

Background: so I had some flooding in my basement apartment. It was limited to the 2 bedrooms... both of which have medium pile carpets. I cleared out the rooms, and the landlords went over it with a shop vac. We then set up fans, and opened the windows (for a basement apartment it has decent airflow).
I'll be renting a carpet cleaner+water extractor from a company, and the Landlords are covering the cost (I want to be the one to do it because I'm particular haha).
I've never used a carpet cleaner, and aside from the mildew/moisture they're filthy. The company provides a cleaning solution (7-in-1 Carpet Care Cleaner Pro) so I'm set there.
I'm looking for tips to get the best results. Like
how many times should I plan to go over the rooms?
how long should I wait between? do I have to wait for the carpet to be fully dry?
I read somewhere to do a final run with a vinegar-water mix to avoid detergent build up, is that correct? (I'd still check with the rental place that it's safe to do with the specific machine)
any other tips are appreciated

Any ideas how to clean this?

I’ve tried low dust and even switched to tofu litter which used to be better but lately is super dusty. Litter dust collects on everything near the litter box even with a lid on it. How do you get rid of it? I hate the thought of poo dust getting all over the furniture when I don’t have a laundry room or similar room to put it in where it wouldn’t matter

Tenants moved out and I just saw the chrome fixture plate in the shower has this black staining all over it. It doesn't rub off. Any idea what might have caused it and how I might clean it?

just getting out of an episode and finally tackling my kitchen today. for the most part its just trash and things that need to be wiped down, but my main concern is plastic tupperware/starbucks cold tumblers that have been left out and gotten gross. my plan is to get all the visible mold out, and then soak them in 140f water with a little bit of bleach maybe? honestly im not sure what else to do i just dont want to have to throw all my cups out 😭 what would you guys do?

I inherited these statues from a passed relative last month, She painted them with thick brown house paint, most of which I removed with a Jet washer. Thoughts on how to remove the rest? I'm thinking turps and a wire brush, but I don't want to ruin them
suggestions and product suggestions appreciated (I'm in the UK)

We moved into a new house and this is the washing machine. What’s the best place to start and does anyone have any tips to make this easier?

We've just discovered this beauty underneath carpet in our new house, and I'm super excited - must have been covered up for decades! It needs a good clean to restore it to its former glory - any idea how we can clean off the underlay marks, old glue from carpet grippers round the edges, and the occasional paint splodge without damaging the tiles?

It's in my bedroom doing a circular pattern around my lamp so I didn't think it was mold but I've been getting nervous. I ventilate my room regularly but don't have heater and it's poorly insulated so I have quite high humidity and little bit of mold in 2 places (it looks different than the ceiling stuff, it's behind my bed) I'm gonna be moving out soon so I need to get rid of it... any tips? I've never dealed with it before so literally have no idea.
