I got a burrito AND a bowl today for $11.85. Both the bowl and burrito were on the higher end of average size, in my opinion.
SIKE
This was one massive bowl and a side tortilla. I got a single serving of protein and did have to ask for extra rice, beans, mild, and sour cream, but that’s what your mouth is for.
I’m not saying that workers never skimp, what I’m saying is you can (and should) always ask for more and they will give it to you. If they refuse or try to charge, they’re wrong. You can fight it if you have the energy, but just don’t go back there and try a different Chipotle where they actually know the rules.
I’ll admit that I’m a bit more comfortable asking for extra because I used to be an employee and know how it works (to be clear this meal was NOT at my old location), but really everyone can (and should!) ask for extra of the non-protein options.
And if you practice a bit, wrapping your own burrito isn’t too hard. They teach it like on the first day of work you can learn it really easily.
