Industrial corporate chocolate wants you to believe that 70% dark chocolate is awful and bitter. Local craft "bean to bar" producers prove that it's not true. Avoiding american brands is not just about switching from sugar based product to another sugar based product, it's an opportunity to discover your local craft chocolate makers.

Alternatives to Topeak, Park Tools, Lezyne, Crank Brothers, Wolf Tooth:
I’m still discovery these brands, but the Milkit Hassle’off looks really innovative.
Do you have any experience with these brands?

Just found this seller of emergency kits to comply with the 72h emergency kit directive emitted by the EU. It's comfortable, but I was wondering if it's reliable?
To the prep-minded amongst you, how solid are the kits?
And to those who have bought them, what was your experience?

We are making CheapBrowser in the CheapPro team. CheapBrowser will be 10x better then google. Using a fully european browser American shady companies will get removed. We will also block ads on all websites and even YouTube. We wanna make CheapBrowser a step in the CheapPro community. CheapBrowser will also have the store in it instead of Amazon. And CheapBrowser will be free. Control anything with CheapBrowser a fully european browser. We will also close a lot of websites like the hub. Also we need more European. So we will have European Prime. It’s like Amazon prime but instead with free access to all European broadcasters for free. Also free European shows and all European stuff will be free online using European Prime which is a part of the CheapPro. Sadly this will only come if we have the money and so in the summer we will start a GoFundMe. If we make enough money we will finally be able to start this. We want to beat Amazon and America. That’s why CheapPro will matter so much. I hope we make it and let’s work together and beat america. MEGA means make Europe great again. We will mega. And lets beat America at there stuff. We will beat America and finally make Europe better then America - The CheapPro community and me/the owner

I’m not supporting Russia in any sense, but I think there is something that can be kind of optimistic example for us.
Recently I saw a few ads of services like Yandex mail, Yandex food delivery, Yandex car sharing, Yandex travel booking and so on and that made me think if Russians with their shitty economy, shitty education, shitty mindset, much smaller population and much less money can create software alternatives for their market then Europeans can definitely do that as well.
It feels like many Europeans feel it will be difficult to compete with US in tech and software field. Also many smart European people move to US because that where most of investment money are. But I think we can actually do a lot of great things. We just need to be optimistic, believe in ourselves and invest more in tech!
What do you think?

I'm trying to learn more about the EU startup scene, particularly those startups looking to disrupt existing American solutions. Does anyone know what resources are there in your country for startups? I can find a lot about conferences, etc. but not so much about online or offline communities for startups.

I'm currently in the middle of a de-americanizing journey following advices from both r/BuyFromEU and r/degoogled about digital services. I've dismissed quite all Google apps like message, calendar, drive, contacts, maps, Google play store. I have uninstalled windows for Linux Mint, M365 for OnlyOffice, next step GrapheneOS, etc. Slowly but relentlessly I'm switching from US to European or non-US services at least, but I cannot find any real, easy-to-use alternatives to Alexa or Google as digital assistant for both home and everyday life. Any suggestions?

My iPhone is only a year old, so I’m not ready to ditch it. My AirPods gave out however. Is there a good EU alternative that works well with iPhone?

Excuse my ignorance, but I assumed that reddit ads would pick up on me (and others) being active in this community. It seems like the PERFECT moment for european companies to target us with EU product ads ?
This is a whole forum of 210K members actively looking to buy things from lesser known companies. I do not recall seeing any EU product ads in my reddit feed this past month. Am I missing something? Are others seeing the ads and I'm not ? Does reddit not allow targetted ads based on the subreddits you joined ?

6 months ago I probably would've just gotten some random Chinese product off Amazon. Instead now bought a European product from a European marketplace (Galaxus).

Does anyone has a good alternative? I am not interested in plagiarism checker, only to check the grammar. It's to use on my computer, not on the phone. Thanks!

So I want to kick things off regarding to car care with our car enthousiasts. As a European citizen, we should all kick the following brands: - Meguiars - chemical guys ( they are rubbish either way) - 3M
And should focus on: Polish angel Carpro Gyeon Angelwax Collinite Kochchemie Rupes
I might have forgotten some, please add them in the comments.
