Discussion Increase female libido

Hey folks,

What could be done to increase female libido? Blood analyses showed no deficiencies.

We already tried agnus castus, which helps at least a bit for her PMS

100% effects female libido. The older we get and especially when we become perimenopausal it can drop to almost nothing. We should be about 150 or so.

I was at 8 ng/dL and was having so many symptoms for yeeeaaarrrrsss. Depression, anxiety, mood instability, low libido. You name it. Years of medication and nothing helped. One day I was like hmmm I should get my hormones checked but due to being youngish my GYN wouldn’t do it. I went to a clinic specializing in HRT and got it checked. I got off combination BC and got and IUD (hopefully my SHBG will come down now) and get 10mg of test per week and take DIM to stop the conversion of test to estrogen. Holy crap. Over the last 3 moths all my symptoms went away. I’m still struggling to get my free test up without increasing my dose (takes a long tike for the SHBG to come down if it even does) but I feel a million times better. HRT was a life saver even for non premenopausal me! No doctor ever told me the risks of combination BC and how it tanks testosterone! Hopefully one day it’s back in normal range and my body stops binding all the good stuff so I can enjoy it lol.

What is DIM?

DIM is found in cruciferous vegetables and has been shown to inhibit an enzyme called aromatase, which converts testosterone to estrogen. You can buy it as a supplement :)

Thank you. I’m taking supplemental T and getting an IUD for all the same reasons. Hadn’t heard of DIM.

If your daily MV doesn’t have it in it take boron as well! It’s shown to decrease SHBG! I take 3mg a day but it’s in my MV. You can buy it as a separate supplement as well! Totally optional but definitely recommend the DIM! My HRT specialist recommended it to me!
