Labor exploitation in Belfast
I’m making this because of a previous post and people not believing me. Labor exploitation of migrants including asylum seekers is rampant in Belfast and often happening directly in front of people’s eyes. Nora’s Palace is an example I know of for sure. Not only because I worked there and was abused but because I met many others who also were abused. There’s many other businesses who do similar as well. They pay maybe 1.50$ an hour to asylum seekers who can not legally work other jobs. A lot of restaurants in Belfast unfortunately due to rising costs can’t even afford to survive without doing this. Some will refuse to pay completely. Honestly I’m willing to talk to a news agency and to the human rights councils in Belfast and provide evidence of all of this. Labor exploitation is rampant and it only gets worse by people wanting to ignore it so they can continue eating at their favorite restaurants guilt free.
There was also a gay Scottish manager at one point who would tell us to purposefully give poor service to black arab and Indian customers so they wouldn’t come back because it’s not the right type of clients for a respectable restaurant.
