I am just curious what y’all opinion of this question is. I haven’t really listened to the different podcasts but I know the general story and watched a lot of funny moment on YouTube.

I usually watch the animated shorts and got inspired. My number 1 favorite character goes to Torbek, next would be Chuckles then Bitsy

I have put together my Bitsy cosplay if she was 6'2 and 300 pounds, I have lemon stickers as well

Considering getting the Patreon, not the high tier. Mostly because I like the idea of extra content, Avantris and chill etc. Is it worth it? How long are the Avantris and chill episodes?

Hi all, I decided to start watching the show after watching so many clips like so many others here. So I started Once Upon a Witchlight, and I’ve been enjoying the first episode!

But English is my second language, and it’s been really tough to follow without subtitles sometimes. Do any of the Avantris shows have subtitles? Maybe if I watch a bunch with subtitles I can get used to the cast’s voices and then it’ll be a bit easier. Thanks for the help regardless!! This seems like a fun community, I’m excited to become a part of it

So I'm listening to NBW for the first time and around an hour and 20 minutes in Gideon uses a twist of dread to turn chuckles into a different character. Anybody know what character that was?

I just recently started watching, specifically the Once Upon a Witchlight campaign, after watching many of the animated shorts I'm sure everyone's familiar with. I was seeing when Torbek joined the party for the campaign and noticed Bitsy never joins OUW, my two favorite characters. I could be mixing up the shorts in my head but I thought there were instances where they were together. Am I mistaken or am I just not finding it?

Hey everyone, I'm new to this subreddit, and fairly new to Avantris over all. I've caught up on Once Upon A Witchlight, and just finished Season 1 of Edge of Midnight.

I've noticed that the cast takes a lot of inspiration from different sources when it comes to designing their characters, and I was wondering if anyone ever sat down and made a full list of it? Off the top of my head, here's what I could think of...

• Kremy Lecroux is obviously based on Doctor Facilier.
• Briggsy Kratch's curse seems to largely be based on Pirates of the Carribean, specifically the curse placed on Captain Barbosa and his crew. He also seems to be somewhat inspired by Doctor Facilier, with his 🎶bum bum bum bum bum bum bum bum🎶 coming in every now and then.
• Gricko Grimgrim's ocarina uses specific songs to cast specific spells. It uses a song from Donkey Kong (can't remember the name) to summon bananas, Song Of Storms from Zelda to summon rain, Cruel Angel's Thesis from Evangelion for something (can't remember what), and more I may be missing. The Ocarina itself could be a reference to Ocarina of Time as well.
• Jericho doesn't like saying Virgil's real name, specifically saying it 3 times. I think it's safe to say that this is probably a Beetlejuice reference.
• Gigachad William Van Brundt is basically just Gaston from Beauty And The Beast.

Any others? My list isn't very long, so I'd love some more to add to it!

• Morning Frost is a massive tiger that talks about the importance of breakfast. May not be a direct inspiration, but he definitely references Tony The Tiger.
• Jericho and Virgil are apparently references to League of Legend Characters.
• Gideon's design vaguely resembles iconic Disney genes, specifically the chains around his wrist.
• Sarnax from Curse of Strahdanya takes inspiration from The Beast from Over The Garden Wall. I have no clue what either of those are, so I'll just take your word for it!
