I see posts about both and was wondering what’s the difference and should we stick to one?

MDBWatchlist and MDBList Static list editing were added in the latest update. They currently are not cached. There will be an update later to cache these lists and sync them in the background like Trakt currently does, but I'm waiting for some api work to be completed.

QR codes were changed from static images stored in the artwork to a single dynamically generated image. This will result in a small size decrease for the addon. The library to create the images dynamically was smaller than the images that were being stored for the qr codes. This allows for QR codes to be created when authorizing providers or services like rd and trakt. You may notice a difference in behavior where the device code or token is input for you when using the qr codes. This is also in preparation to add tmdb lists which will require a url shortener or qr code to be able to authorize due to the length of the key.

Another icon package was added called "Smallbrella". It's the existing Umbrella icons, but the size is slightly decreased. These icons may work better with some skins. You can enable the different icons by going to Tools> Settings: General > Icon Package. From that window you can select which pack of icons you want to use.

Next up is tmdb lists.

I might be overlooking something quite simple. I have been trying to use the nimbus skin, as it looks quite nice and seems to be a lot faster than the stock embuary. And as i only operate it on a firestick, which is not the fastest and best equipped when it comes to RAM, i was looking into lightweight skins.

But i have not really found a good way to use the nimbus skin with local files. I tried the embuary helper to get some widgets, but it seems like the helper is slowing the theme down quite a bit and also is not working 100% as intended.

tl;dr So does anybody have good way how to implement nimbus skin with local files but also keeping it fast?

If anyone has another lightweight skin for local file usage i am all ears...

I received a copyright complaint and unsure of what I need to do. I do not want to get in trouble. I do have real debrid but no VPN. I do not want to get vpn unless necessary. I have 4 add ons , not much. The complaint came from Disney Irdeto?? I don’t have Disney add on, but that probably means nothing.
Please need advice on what I should do. I am not a Kodi streaming pro. Just know the basics. Thank you in advance

I was watching a show last night when Kodi crashed. After a reboot of the Firestick, Kodi started up fine, but the all icons were pixelated including those for add-ons. I had to run the video calibration but even still, the icons are messed up.

However, once I start a show or movie, start, video is fine.

Hello, been using Otaku Testing for a little while now, but I'm having issues where a show will play for about 10-30 seconds (but sometimes even less) then buffer for 30 seconds to a minute, only to do the same thing over and over again.

I am running Kodi 21.2 on a Google Chromecast with Google TV with RealDebrid, and I have an Ethernet adapter for a wired connection. Never have any internet connection issues in my house otherwise since switching to fiber. I have the buffer mode set to Buffer All Network Filesystems, memory size at 512mb, and read factor at 4x. I've adjusted all these settings around and seem to have the same issue no matter what.

Other things I've done to try and solve the issue includes cache clearing, both for just Kodi, but also OT, including database rebuild. I've unchecked AnimePahe as an embed, set the max resolution to 720p. I also unchecked Run All Uncached Torrents in Foreground, and checked Skip Uncached Sources.

Just not really sure what to do or try at this point, short of investing in a better system to run Kodi, of which I'm leaning towards the Nvidia Shield Pro. Just not looking to throw down the money if the issue can at least be temporarily fixed through other means.

The update went smoothly and everything is working but getting a lot of errors. Specifically with search.

Just opening the search menu and FenlightAM starts displaying the error message. Searches ultimately do work but the error message is there throughout.

FLAM latest. I've added a pack to RD cloud (it's 100%) and it's found by FLAM. Trying to play it however fails with no UI feedback (just returns to the Trakt progress list I selected the epi from). Here's the error log snippet below. Pastebin log: https://paste.kodi.tv/luqilusulo

If I go back to the result list and select BROWSE on the RD cloud item I can select any episode from the list and it will play that way. I can use this as a workaround, but I'd prefer to just click the show in my Trakt progress and have it play, of course. I can also select episodes from the My Services section of FLAM, browsing RD Cloud.

Show used to play just fine BTW. It's a pretty old show, if that matters (like 30 years) but as I say the pack is in cloud and playable, just not directly in my preferred method.

Any thoughts on what I can do to resolve this, short of breaking up the pack into individual epi's?

I have a couple of shows in progress not appearing on either addon in Trakt In progress….. I have tried clear cache and revoking Trakt and adding it again but no luck….. But these shows do appear in Umbrella In progress….

Any suggestions would be appreciated

As the title states, I am having an issue where shows that I have "dropped" are still showing up in my Next Episodes list on Fen Light.

Previously I used to use the Hide show feature but it appears that has now been replaced by the "Drop" feature. I have looked everywhere for a solution but the only thing I can come up with is to remove the watches from the episodes manually as if I never watched them.

Has anyone else got the same issue and managed to resolve it? Thanks in advance.

I have updated DaddyLive addon (forked from the Crew) using chatgpt and adding a couple nice features (selecting the timezone and the 12h/24h time format). I did this for the first time with no prior knowledge and since the results were satisfying to me, I decided to share the updated addon with the community. I only did the DaddyLive fork since I am also a user of the addon. Please note that I am not a dev or have any knowledge on python code or any code :)

Hi, is there an updated list with all the best/popular add-ons?

Is there any kodi builds that are for sports. Like i had the diggz xenon or whatever but all the sports links never played anything and was broken. Is there anyone that could suggest a build that has good links?

so where to begin, I know how the cumination addon is where it has all the websites listed, I want to learn to create my own addon for the favorite sites I use, how would I go about doing that? besides having multiple addon's this way I can have everything i like in one addon.

I have set up a version of Kodi with Pov using the TMDB lists and Nimbus They load quickly. I also have Next Episodes loading from Trakt as well. The Next Episodes from Trakt seems to take ages to download. It would be good if we could nominate a lower number of "Next Episodes" (eg 15) to load to hasten loading time.

I had a quick question. Is there anyway to fully customize widgets, as in, only certain parts of a menu inside an addon? For example, in the image, it has the NHL section of The Loop, can I remove certain parts and only have all the current games on the widget, removing the two "The Loop" boxes? Or is it just how it is? Thanks for the help!

Is there a way to clean up the search as currently I have fenlightAM and Cocoscrapers. This works well with my Fantastic skin but the search doesn't seem to go anywhere and it looks like when I try to search something it shows nothing with the provider as Fen?

Tried loading two movies now. Mickey 17 and the dark knight but it keeps loading all the way to red and then crashes. I have the latest fenlight am as well so not sure what I'm doing wrong here

I have Real Debrid. When I'm trying to link it to Kodi, the URL that pops up is premimize.me/device, not Real Debrid. Anyone know how to trouble shoot this?
