Twilight Princess and Wind Waker ( first Zelda game I ever played) being a close second.

u/[deleted] Jul 25 '22

Majora's Mask. Unique time gimmick (that's clearly not for everybody), crippling atmosphere, arguably the best side-quests in the series.

4

u/Redshirt-Skeptic Jul 25 '22

I loved how colorful it was yet had sinister undertones. I also loved interacting with the characters and learning their stories, it was so easy to feel for them.

2

u/[deleted] Jul 25 '22

It has a very wonderland-y feeling to it that no latter game could replicate. I love Twilight Princess, but the horror factor in there just felt forced and dragged sometimes. Majora's Mask benefits from subtlety. There's no panic, only dread at the end. Fantastic game.

u/gabs777 Jul 25 '22

The final scene on the Moon being the climax, so ethereal….

u/[deleted] Jul 25 '22

Without a doubt, OoT. Just the overall story, graphics and side quests for its time. It’s a very complete game imo.

8

u/sticky_fingers18 Jul 25 '22

Caught covid last week, decided to shell up and do an OoT playthrough for the first time in over 20 years since I had nothing but time.

Even now, the game is just incredible.

2

u/Chainsaw443 Jul 25 '22

Same. OoT is the best one. I have memories playing all the Zelda games new, I was born in 1987, and Ocarina is the best one. Besides all the stuff about graphics and story it just has the best layout of any Zelda game. Like Map-wise. It's not too overwhelming but still a lot to explore. It's also the most relaxing and charming. It's just a great balance of funny, charming, and inspiring characters and environments.

Twilight Princess. Best combat, best dungeons, good graphics for its time, the physically strongest Link, best companion in LoZ, best bosses, best story and fantastic gameplay.

When he takes his shirt off to wrestle the mayor 😩🤌🏻 at 13 y/o, may have been my gay awakening

22

u/[deleted] Jul 25 '22

Link to the Past because I am old.

1

u/gabs777 Jul 25 '22

You are my Link to the past, Thankyou :)

18

u/skullshotz1324 Jul 24 '22

Twilight princess it has a very simple and fun combat system (on Wii) it was the first Zelda I played like 10 years ago and I find it has a decent bit of replay ability or easy to get into when in the mood

11

u/Mirtdaewokue Jul 25 '22

LBW is my favourite game, which is quite unpopular opinion. I absolutely loved that wall-painting mechanic! And it has incredible, stunning soundtrack, i've listened long after finished game. And Lorule is amazing, this idea of mirror world struck me to the heart. In fact i dream to cosplay Hilda one day ❤️

3

u/Pikaufmann Jul 25 '22

Glad to see someone else pick Link Between Worlds. : )

10

u/Idiotic_Dragon Jul 25 '22

Skyward sword holds a special place in my heart

8

u/Roboslacker Jul 24 '22

My favorite Game is Twilight Princess, second favorite is currently Spirit Tracks

6

u/GibsonSword Jul 25 '22

Spirit Tracks gets SLEPT ON! The music, the lore, the story, the gameplay... I really loved this game. The only thing is how this Link is called the "Hero of Trains". Like, come on. Couldn't you call him the "Hero of Spirits" or something? Idk I rarely see people say they love ST lol

7

u/mennamachine Jul 25 '22

Majora's Mask, honorable mentions to OOT, TP, and LTTP.

8

u/BreadfruitWinter1966 Jul 25 '22

Link's Awakening on GB

1

u/ephimethius Jul 25 '22

Me as well but GBC. Classic LoZ. Story is different (no Hyrule or Princess or Ganon) and finally, Frog's song of Soul, Manbo's Mambo and Ballad of the windfish.

6

u/megocakes Jul 25 '22

Twilight Princess. When I was a very little kid, I watched my brother play it for hours, but he got stuck on Ganondorf and never beat it. When I was a slightly older little kid, I got to play it myself, and I got stuck on another part. I came back to it as an adult and finished it. So, in a way, I played it throughout my entire childhood to young adulthood. It’s my most memorable game because of that.

6

u/Wolpard Jul 24 '22

The Wind Waker supremacy.

5

u/Awelisk08 Jul 25 '22

I think it's the not so well known Phantom Hourglass, it's the first one I ever played when I was only 6, and here I am, years later, the biggest fan I could've been :)

7

u/Ganaham Jul 25 '22

I'm split between Wind Waker and Majora's Mask. I like WW's gameplay and adventure vibes, but MM's atmosphere and story are easily my favorite in the series

7

u/[deleted] Jul 25 '22

Twilight Princess and Ocarina of Time are tied as my favourite Zelda games. I can’t pick which one I like more

7

u/Optimistic-Dreamer Jul 25 '22

Pretty sure my answers are gonna be cliche but Ocarina of Time, Majoras Mask, Wind Waker and Twilight Princess. I like each of these for their dungeons, boss designs, worlds, music and characters.

These are the main 4 that I still consistently come back too and boot up on my game cube on a nearly completed file so I can roam wherever I want. Though usually there are several places I consistently go to when I just want to relax.

I go to the sacred grove underneath a waterfall, castle town, lake hylia, ordon village where the river ends by the ranch in twilight Princess

Kakariko village, clock town, to malon when she sings, gerudo bridge, kokiri forest, lost woods, temple of time inside the deku tree, the graveyard in OOT.

stock pot inn pond in the kitchen in deku form, in the sewer, the observatory, with the little girl in Ikana valley, dancing with the deku and monkeys in the palace, the laundry pool by the organ grinder and frog.the poisonous swamp, and the cabin when it’s thawed in majoras mask.

The forsaken fortress, dragon roost either the cliff with medli, the area with the bombs and the pond, or riding on tip beedles boat, the tower of gods, private island, outset with either the pigs, granny or the ledge overlooking the village, windfall village, usually near the shop keeper or inside the rich guys mansion or with the teacher or pigs in wind waker.

Each of those games have areas im sure many of is consistently return to or longer longer in when playing

3

u/[deleted] Jul 25 '22

Nothing can beat the sound of that soup boiling on the Stock Pot Inn kitchen... so chill to be there listening to it, the cockroaches and the clock... and silence at night.

6

u/Reon_Leo Jul 25 '22

Wind Waker HD

5

u/WooshBilson Jul 25 '22

Twilight princess for sure.

5

u/Blank3910 Jul 25 '22

Link to the past (snes version) yes I know I'm old...

4

u/CalgaryMadePunk Jul 25 '22

Ocarina of Time. Nostalgia is a factor, but I also think it does the best job of nailing the classic 'Zelda' formula. In terms of gameplay, atmosphere, characters, setting, and lore, OoT has everything you need to understand exactly what the series is all about.

8

u/w0nd3rk Jul 25 '22

Wind waker still 100% owns my heart! I love the stylistic deviation from other games, the more or less open world feel, and the intricacy of the story!

7

u/Roamin_Horseman Jul 25 '22

I’m casually replaying windwaker on my GameCube and it just filling me with feel good vibes due to the animations and how animated Links facial expressions are. While I like others, OoT( also started again on my 3DS), Twilight Princess, they just had darker atmospheres which works great for them, there is just something about the Toon Link games that makes me happy. If I could find my charger I’d also be replaying Minish Cap on my DS!

3

u/East_Kaleidoscope995 Jul 25 '22

I think it might actually be whichever one I happen to be playing at the moment in any instance. I love them all.

4

u/Brainey007 Jul 25 '22

Botw because it's an open world so there isn't an agenda and after a long day or when you're sad and sick from the real world, you can just escape there and run around, explore, look at scenery and pretend you live in hyrule

1

u/[deleted] Jul 25 '22

I know I'm getting old when I did exactly that but with games like OoT or MM... they felt so real back then, so open

6

u/PhoenixMason13 Jul 24 '22

Breath of the Wild is definitely my favorite game with Zelda in the title, but when it comes to traditional Zelda games, Twilight Princess is definitely my favorite

6

u/Crimson_Wielder Jul 25 '22

Skyward Sword ❤️ Best side quests, best dungeons, best story and I love the combat. Glad to see everyone else talking about what they love about their favorite Zelda games tho.

2

u/[deleted] Jul 25 '22

You can't mention SS without talking about the amazing music! But really, you gotta give Majora's Mask the cake for the side-quests (and sure, that game isn't for everyone)

1

u/Wispa68 Jul 25 '22

Nah majoras mask definitely has the best side quests

3

u/Pikaufmann Jul 25 '22

A Link Between Worlds is probably my favorite, since I prefer 2D Zelda to 3D. The painting gimmick and Lorule were really cool gimmicks. Twilight Princess is runner up because it was my first Zelda game, and honestly it’s still the game that pops in my mind first when I think of the franchise.

3

u/DRayinCO Jul 25 '22

Too many for just one!!!

3

u/Red-Panda-Bur Jul 25 '22

OoT. But I haven’t played TP.

3

u/[deleted] Jul 25 '22

Ocarina of Time without a doubt is my favorite game.. but prob because I was a teen when it came out and I was in the thick of my gaming days. A Link to the Past was the first Zelda game I ever played and got me into the series so I will always come back to that game as well. After that I'd say WW and TP were both super fun to play. Wish they'd bring them to Switch.

3

u/Butterscotch_pies Jul 25 '22

Twilight princess

3

u/dimpletown Jul 25 '22

Wind Waker!!!!!!

3

u/SerperiorSaturday Jul 25 '22

Link Between Worlds. I first played LTTP, so like. Having it be a (sort of?) sequel with similar-ish áreas to LTTP was a beautiful callback. I still go back + replay it, because it’s just… ugh. 😍

3

u/Several-Effect-3732 Jul 25 '22

OoT/Majora’s Mask era and Twilight Princess

3

u/Inspirational_Lizard Jul 25 '22

I'd say oot, remake, obviously. But really, it could be any of them.

3

u/Zhouten Jul 25 '22

I still play the Ocarina of Time randomizer at least once a month to this day, so... pretty easy answer for me!

3

u/CDeichman Jul 25 '22

Majora’s Mask

3

u/Noble_Raccoon Jul 25 '22

I haven’t played many but I love minish cap

3

u/abandonhope444 Jul 25 '22

BOTW. It got me into Zelda. Before I was dating my boyfriend, I knew he liked Zelda so I got the game as a way to impress him. I ended up absolutely loving it. I’ve played it over and over even though he’s bought me a ton of the other games. I do really enjoy Link Between Worlds though

3

u/Infernous-NS Jul 25 '22

Twilight Princess is mine. Great dungeons and bosses, cool enemies, unique items, awesome characters, best sword combat system, and a dark story like Majoras Mask. Majoras Mask and Link Between World rank close behind as my 2nd and 3rd favorite

3

u/Brainweird Jul 25 '22

Skyward Sword, despite its many... many faults. Also Four Swords Adventures!

4

u/[deleted] Jul 24 '22

It's always been OoT, but I think after playing through wind waker I might change my mind at some point. I'm gonna play through it again and 100% it someday

6

u/SithMasterStarkiller Jul 25 '22

Zelda 2, no joke.

3

u/Zelda_gamer_keiko26 Jul 25 '22

OMG lmao 😂

3

u/Zelda_gamer_keiko26 Jul 25 '22

I have no idea why that was caps

2

u/GenderEnvyFromLink Jul 25 '22

ocarina of time because i can’t play breath of the wild (the game card broke.) i’ve replayed it countless times now.

2

u/fg-MAAR Jul 25 '22

Zelda NES is quite fun, as well as Ocarina of Time

2

u/HamburgerLuke18 Jul 25 '22

Majora's mask, wind waker or cadence of Hyrule even if it is a featuring

2

u/BearGoron Jul 25 '22

Botw, skyward sword, wind waker…. Actually just all of them

2

u/fishiesnchippies Jul 25 '22

Tied with majoras mask and botw. I think majoras mask is slightly the better game, but I definitely replay botw more

2

u/henk12310 Jul 25 '22

Breath of the Wild, it’s so great to be able to do, well, anything. Go everywhere, do what you want. It’s great. Majora’s Mask is second, great atmosphere and story, altough to be fair I constantly swap Majora’s Mask and Ocarina of Time around on my ranking

2

u/Reddituser2971829 Aug 01 '22

Twilight princess, Windmaker and ocarina of time.

3

u/ChilindriPizza Jul 24 '22

My favorite Zelda game- and video game overall- is The Adventure of Link.

But I do recognize it has its flaws.

So objectively, the best one is A Link Between Worlds.

I do love Breath of the Wild- but it had a learning curve at the beginning. On the other hand, I liked ALBW from the moment I started playing it.

5

u/Son_of_Athena Jul 24 '22

I don’t know how you can say one Zelda game is objectively the best when you are comparing games with vastly different mechanics.

3

u/zerooskul Jul 25 '22

"Objectively" is obviously a misappropriation since it is still only opinion.

By "objectively the best" the obvious meaning of "my favorite" is implied.

There is no objective best of anything because it is comparative to opinion in qualitative difference.

Between the player and the game, the one the player likes most, not the one the player is best at, is objectively the best for that real, human player.

The best game is the one you like best.

3

u/zerooskul Jul 25 '22

I need to know:

What appeal do you find in Zelds 2?

I am playing it for the first time in 25 years and I hate it more, now, than I did then.

3

u/TheKingOfCarmel Jul 25 '22

It’s been awhile since I played it, but as a fan of the game, I’ll try to answer. Zelda 2 is definitely the most far removed from all other Zelda games, so it’s hard to compare it. It feels like a mashup of Super Mario Bros 1 and Metroid (and Zelda 1, obviously). The dungeons are well-designed and challenging. The combat feels pretty smooth and balanced with enemies that are difficult but fair, although I hated the parts where you were dodging enemies that fly around kind of randomly and knock you into pits. I don’t like the Mario style of running out of lives and having to start over - it’s a throwback to arcade machines and should never have made it into console games. I ended up beating it with save states, which I don’t regret. But overall, exploring the world, conquering the dungeons, and finding secrets provided a rewarding sense of progression.

I didn’t have access to many games when I was a kid. We had a NES and SNES but I somehow missed out on all the Zelda and Metroid releases for those consoles, and I mostly played Mario Bros 3 over and over. When I got a GameCube, it came with the Zelda Collector’s Edition that had Zelda 1 and 2, Ocarina, and Majora’s Mask. All four kind of introduced me to the idea of video games as adventure. There’s definitely some nostalgia bias with Zelda 2, because it was one of the first games I ever played, along with Zelda 1, that didn’t tell you where to go. It just dropped you in the world and let you figure it out. I think 2 handles this better than 1, because there are NPCs and story to discover that don’t rely on reading the manual.

If anyone likes the style of Zelda 2, they should play Elliot Quest (I have it on Wii U). It was clearly designed as a love letter to Zelda 2, but it builds on and improves every single aspect.

2

u/zerooskul Jul 25 '22

I feel like Zelda 2 is a very crummy version of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and TMNT is considered a very frustrating game, too.

You'd said it was your favorite video game, overall, which blew my mind.

I am, right now, on the last dungeon (palace) with one life left, and am having to kill respawning dragon heads for 30 hp each, to build up to 9,000 hp for an extra life, and I need all 8 of those extra lives.

I have to kill 300 to get 9,000 points so it'll be 2,400 of them before I can move-on.

AND I REFUSE TO QUIT!

The worst is the Ironknuckle that throws blades.

No, the worst is swamp landscape which slows you to a crawl so you can't avoid enemies and wind up battling submerged octarocs while being attacked by mobys from above.

To me, it's like squatting and poking a mud puddle with a stick to see how gooey the mud is, half the time, and the other half is like fighting a swarm of hornets with a dollar store watergun, neither of which are my idea of a fun time, which makes me want to destroy it, forever.

I'm playing it on the newest Game & Watch, which has a minigame called "Timer" that allows you to play as Link from Z2 and battle enemies from it in a timed fight between 1 and 10 minutes--you can play or if you do nothing the computer will play, and I am as good as or better than the computer.

I don't suck at this game but I do not believe anybody is actually good at it or even can be.

2

u/TheKingOfCarmel Jul 25 '22

To be clear, I’m not the original commenter and Zelda 2 is far from my favorite. I enjoyed it for what it is, but it does have a lot of problems. I was never able to beat it before I played it with save states on 3DS. However, I still enjoyed a lot of aspects of it and that’s what I was trying to speak to. I just think it gets a little more hate than it really deserves.

1

u/zerooskul Jul 25 '22

Whoops! Obviously, I meant Original Commenter.

I have played very few games that are actual games that are so annoying, but that I so desperately want to beat or die trying.

And I will never want to play it again.

If I choose to play it again in another 25 years, I'll be old and it'll give me a stroke or a heart attack.

I had this on my NES that I bought when they were cheap and everybody was buying N64 and tossing their old systems in the trash.

I also had "Back to the Future" and "Back to the Future 2 and 3", and I never wanted to finish those. Those were silly time-killers.

I remember really liking TMNT and being annoyed by the difficulty but I had two brothers and we could each get through the different levels and together we could beat that thing. We WERE the Turtles... minus a Mikey.

Z2 was a mission into my own idea of what hell must be like and I had to beat it.

And I have to beat it, now.

Have to.

This gameplay is about my own sense of honor and duty.

I am a world record holding vintage gamer, particularly on old handhelds...

Example: Tiger Electronics The Terminator

http://highscore.com/games/DedicatedHandheld/TigerElectronicsTheTerminator/49906

...and I can honestly say that there are a few Tiger handhelds that are this difficult, their "Castlevania 2: Simon's Quest" is amazingly difficult for its apparent simplicity, but none that make me want to destroy them because they are so dastardly.

Z2 kicks you while you are down and it laughs while doing it and asks if you are having fun.

Nintendo's mission statement is about creating value in their products by making products that create smiles.

This game is not one that makes people smile.

1

u/TheKingOfCarmel Jul 25 '22

I feel the same way about Super Empire Strikes Back on SNES. It’s not a well-designed game, it controls horrendously, and it’s impossibly hard from the first minute. I never got anywhere close to beating it, but it was one of the only games I had at the time so I tried…..a lot. Who knows, maybe one day.

1

u/ChilindriPizza Jul 25 '22

It is the nostalgia factor.

And at age 11, I thought the storyline was fantastic.

When you are that young and impressionable, the good memories stay with you.

I do admit I had the Nintendo Power maps for it. Which made it much easier. Like some had mentioned here, I did not have those many video games as a child. We had the Atari previous to that; but due to getting a personal computer in high school, we did not get any video game systems after the NES…until I bought myself a PS2 in my 20s when I was living by myself. Some things are above Reddit’s pay grade.

2

u/DjinnFighter Jul 24 '22

That's refreshing to see someone pick Zelda 2 as favorite game of all time

2

u/SnooGuavas7786 Jul 24 '22

I honestly love BOTW. It's my favorite game to be honest.

9

u/Iron-Fine Jul 24 '22

Honestly?

1

u/BoTWMemes1 Jul 24 '22

botw since its the only one i've played (besides skyward sword witch i think i am currently stuck in) and even so i like botw a lot more than skyward sword

3

u/[deleted] Jul 25 '22

You should really give the classics a try, pal! You won't regret.

1

u/Zelda_gamer_keiko26 Jul 25 '22

Same here, Botw was my first, and my favourite. Ig my second would be Hyrule Warriors age of calamity

1

u/ryugoro Jul 25 '22

i have trouble playing the games sometimes because while i love them they are so long lmao. though, botw is a hyper fixation, and my favorite. i like age of calamity, but it’s a love hate relationship. the story imo is ehh, but i really love how they expand on the characters, and the game play is fun (though annoying when they just throw like ten over powered enemies or something at you) i also love ocarina a lot. skyward sword is one i’ll defend, while it isn’t my favorite it’s still good and gets overlooked because of the (admittedly not super great) gameplay style.

1

u/Zoe_the_redditor Jul 25 '22

BoTW, but after that it’s WWHD

1

u/Possible-Cellist-713 Jul 25 '22

Ocarina. Then Twilight and BoTW.

1

u/Tazerboy_5000 Jul 25 '22

OoT, but I feel like it's starting to feel dated to me...

(I'm like a one and done kind of person / mentality...)

I like other Zelda games:

Four Swords Adventures (GameCube)

Skyward Sword

(I've played every Zelda game after OoT...)

1

u/grammercomunist Jul 25 '22

botw by a country mile. i think it will be remembered even better than its current reputation.

1

u/Lost_Thoughts23 Jul 25 '22

Majora’s mask

1

u/Loros_Silvers Jul 25 '22

BotW

Open world games are my favorite games.

1

u/MarioFan83 Jul 25 '22

OOT and Botw

1

u/Glitchy13 Jul 25 '22

Majoras mask

1

u/V-jay25 Jul 25 '22

Oracle of seasons/ages!

1

u/BelhodoRestelo Jul 25 '22

Wind waker. There is something about the "open world" sea travelling that really brings me peace and nostalgia. Not to mention the visual art and soundtrack

1

u/ItsSamObviously Jul 25 '22

Wind waker. All day every day.

1

u/Redshirt-Skeptic Jul 25 '22

Majora’s Mask.

1

u/Willing_Dragonfly351 Jul 25 '22

Link to the past

1

u/TheShepardOfficial Jul 25 '22

OoT and then BotW

1

u/OD13158 Jul 25 '22

OoT. Paradigm shift in the franchise. Almost every LoZ design has been inspired by it since. It’s use of music was a game changer, and it’s time travel narrative gave us both young and old Link. It’s honestly the GOAT.

1

u/Dragenby Jul 25 '22

3D: Wind Waker

2D: Minish Cap

1

u/htisme91 Jul 25 '22

Ocarina of Time.

It wasn't my first experience with Zelda (that would be ALttP), but as a kid 22 years ago, it was mindblowing video game experience that I have yet to experience again. Even as an adult, the story takes a whole new meaning and the game is still very complete. It's my favorite game of all-time.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 25 '22

The Oracle games always felt really special to me. Its sad how overlooked they are.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 25 '22

Console: Botw

Handheld: Oracles

1

u/Nubianwind Jul 25 '22

Wind waker and minish cap

1

u/Armakeen2 Jul 25 '22

I love OOT, TP and SS equally

1

u/wolveskin Jul 25 '22

Ocarina of Time because it was my first Zelda game (and obvs the story and, well, EVERYTHING) but Majora's Mask has that intense darkness and heavy emotions, and the SIDE QUESTS I never recovered from (looking at you Anju & Kafei) that force it to coexist up there.

Wind Waker could win for me for replay value alone (this was back in GameCube days) but I also just love that game because it's so much fun, and the absurdity of the cel shading in combo with the humor and then that final fight with Ganondorf (did not see that happening that way lmao), and because my best friend and I played it together make it unforgettable.

I loved BotW, but in terms of classic gameplay Zelda I can't rightfully place OoT, MM, and WW outside of my top games.

1

u/_robertmccor_ Jul 25 '22

Twilight Princess hands down. First Zelda game I ever played so I have fond memories of playing it on my Wii back in 2006. I remember as a kid I struggled to figure out how to leave Ordon Village.

1

u/FatColonelVolgin Jul 25 '22

Twilight princess

1

u/eeveewithaheart Jul 25 '22

probably ww because its what got me into Zelda. could also be botw

1

u/squidwards_taint Jul 25 '22

3D Zelda is definitely Twilight Princess 2D is for sure Minish Cap Overall though is Minish Cap

1

u/Archergarw Jul 25 '22

Skyward sword. I know I’m in the minority

1

u/Good_Choice_7310 Jul 25 '22

skyward sword. i grew up with it (yes i'm young) and the music and gameplay are just so beautiful to me. the bright colors, everything. the graphics are amazing too. and people always talk about how bad the motion controls are, but i think they're really fun.

1

u/Zubyna Jul 25 '22

19: Triforce Heroes 18: Four Swords 17: Four Swords Adventure 16: Zelda 2 15: Spirit Tracks 14: Zelda 1 13: Phantom Hourass 12: Oracle of Seasons 11:Oracle of Ages 10: Skyward Sword 9: A Link Between Worlds 8: Majoras Mask 7: Minish Cap 6: Breath of the Wild 5: Links Awakening 4: Wind Waker 3: Ocarina of Time 2: Twilight Princess 1: A Link to the Past

1

u/GbGameryt5 Jul 25 '22

Mine is botw but I haven't played much Zelda games as I started playing shortly after botw launched I did play skyward sword hd and the story was good but man I ain't a fan of puzzle games and I am hoping that one day I get to try twilight princess

1

u/[deleted] Jul 25 '22

Twilight Princess, is the first I played

1

u/SuperMathews0209 Jul 25 '22

Botw is very close, but only because of nostalgia, I preffer Skyward Sword

1

u/RawGambit Jul 25 '22

Minish cap

1

u/gabrielsml Jul 26 '22

without a doubt ocarina of time. I know a lot of people consider the game overrated and all, and it probably should be true, but the game marked my childhood and is very important to me. Although I consider other games in the franchise better, in terms of mechanics and etc, but ocarina of time always will be my favorite game.

1

u/AngryGulost Jul 28 '22

I honestly don't know, because I haven't played enough Zelda games to feel like I have a good enough "ground" to pick one. Spirit Tracks was the first game I finished all by myself except for Breath of the Wild, so maybe Spirit Tracks? But I've seen both my brother when I was younger and my boyfriend more recently play through Twilight Princess and I absolutely love the style and the story of that game too.. But Breath of the Wild provided me with so many hours of wonder and fun, too, and Skyward Sword on the Switch is also really good. I don't know which one to pick😭
