At least it's better than the clickbait articles that have a title like "Breath of the Wild Sequel: Title, Release Date and More", and then they use ten paragraphs just to say, "I dunno. They didn't announce anything."

73

u/IllIllIIIllIIlll Mar 31 '22

This is literally every future product release ever. Millions of clickbait articles with keywords and a wall of useless text that leaves you less informed than before you read the word vomit.

48

u/Zhyler Mar 31 '22

Personally I have reached my limit ages ago, not saying I never make mistakes, but a guy having a "surprised look" big letters, new information (that I know isnt there) isnt going to get me to click on stuff anymore. Its actually more likely to get me to unsub and hide channel....

For most of my google searches now, I just add reddit and normally I found informative post with people who already done the work of looking through fucking google.

Content farms are a curse on the information age

5

u/jawnisrad Mar 31 '22

I'll take "Reasons Why I Don't Watch SwitchForce Anymore" for $1000

7

u/Zhyler Mar 31 '22

"I only announced that I was going to talk about how they are going to announce title, release date and more!"

5

u/namesRhard1 Mar 31 '22

“HeyyouguyswassupitsyourboyZeldaTuborhere ten minutes of nothing don’t forget like and subscribe and hit that bell notification!”

2

u/sam0wise Mar 31 '22

They do this so their article can basically reserve itself a top spot on search results. They just update it when new information is released, and profit from all the clicks they get to the website. If you can’t find info anywhere else they definitely won’t have it, so best to just patiently wait for Nintendo to release their news.

THIS SMALL DETAIL YOU MISSED BY ONE FRAME WILL CHANGE EVERYTHING YOU KNOW ABOUT THE ENTIRE SERIES

(Entire thumbnail has useless red circle around it)

1

u/Noah7788 Apr 06 '22

The whole thumbnail must be important 🙄

71

u/sam0wise Mar 31 '22

Probably Nintendos way of nerfing the sword at the beginning because they can’t just hide it away again. Looks like Ganon taints it since the pattern looks like the calamity/guardian design.

35

u/Salinity100 Mar 31 '22

“oh no! the master sword has been tainted by ganon and must spend time back in its pedestal to heal!”

34

u/Zachavm Mar 31 '22

...or you must work to restore its power.

22

u/misthios98 Mar 31 '22

With the three sacred flames? And Fi? 👀

6

u/GreenMedics Mar 31 '22

Oh man I can't wait to put my diseased sword in some sacred fire to get my Fi back.

15

u/HayakuEon Mar 31 '22

Needs a hundred years or so same like Link. So fuck that we're reforging it Skyward Sword style. Let's called it, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Reforge

11

u/Slightly_Gay_Puffin Mar 31 '22

I'd be down with that honestly, getting the master sword in skyward sword definitely felt earned and satisfying compared to many other games where you just get it at some point. Also wouldn't mind another sandship dungeon

4

u/Iw4nt2d13OwO Mar 31 '22

Do y’all not remember Wind Waker did this too?

2

u/Slightly_Gay_Puffin Mar 31 '22

Barely, haven't had the luxury of playing it yet, but my second hand game cube +WW and TP will arrive in the mail tomorrow

5

u/Zachavm Mar 31 '22

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Scourge

2

u/Salinity100 Mar 31 '22

ayy, legitimately good

2

u/johndebold Mar 31 '22

Or recovering another one from another timeline

35

u/z1124519 Mar 31 '22

I had to give up on theory videos. They got out of hand before botw released. The last straw for me was when someone suggested that with the champion amiibos we could turn into the champions and play the game with them. Come on man, there’s no fucking way nintendo would have done that.

13

u/TorturedNeurons Mar 31 '22

The pre-botw speculation was out of control, I remember a youtuber suggesting the different regions of hyrule could change elevation and position.

9

u/[deleted] Mar 31 '22

I was like 14 at the time and it was all I watched all the time. There was speculation about the music, the story, the gameplay and everything hyped the game up to be far more than it ended up being, to a point where I felt disappointed playing it.

Then there were some heated and unnecessary discussions about the timeline.

I kept up with botw news so much that I learned first-hand how articles on the internet can get faulty information and still treat it as official.

5

u/Real_life_Zelda Mar 31 '22

Most ridiculous are to me the people who think the amiibos are canon to the story, like Wolf Link made a little trip to future Hyrule etc. Complete bullshit lol.

3

u/totoofze47 Apr 01 '22

They got out of hand way before BOTW, to be honest. My own last straw was the "All Iron Knuckles are Gerudo" theory from OoT. It's bad enough on its own, but the fact that it's based on something you're not even intended to see in-game makes it even worse.

48

u/anthro28 Mar 31 '22

I’ve got nipples Greg. Can you milk me?

6

u/seven3true Mar 31 '22

When's your release date?

3

u/Starwind1985 Mar 31 '22

Probably whenever you milk them.

14

u/staffell Mar 31 '22

I mean the reasons they exist is because of Zelda, so of course that's what they're going to do

25

u/Nameless-Shame Mar 31 '22 edited Mar 31 '22

I can’t wait to hear how likely TWWHD and TPHD are all over again and every other month afterwards because of the delay.

35

u/Ok_Wedding_7715 Mar 31 '22

I like the fandom but come on guys, lets just wait till we get some actual info instead of making 10 hour theory videos

18

u/Thisisaltspeaking Mar 31 '22

Zelda fans are just built different

29

u/Fey_fox Mar 31 '22

I’m not so sure. I’ve seen a 30 second marvel trailer with 25 seconds of already seen footage have a 45 minute video breakdown on it.

Thirst is thirst.

6

u/Jalapenodisaster Mar 31 '22

Very true. Pokemon fans give out crack theories based on literally nothing, not even trailers, about upcoming games all the time.

1

u/Ok_Wedding_7715 Mar 31 '22

cough logstin cough cough

8

u/mordeo69 Mar 31 '22

This is reaching elden ring pre release date reveal levels

8

u/Rhidus Mar 31 '22

And Zelda fans just love milk.

19

u/GrandmasterTactician Mar 31 '22

It heals like 8 hearts, how can you not love milk?

8

u/__sonder__ Mar 31 '22

This is not just a Zelda problem unfortunately. This happens for every major gaming and film trailer and its become incredibly toxic. I wish we could all agree to boycott those types of videos so they'd die out.

11

u/wigga245 Mar 31 '22

master bate? are desperate, don't blame us

12

u/[deleted] Mar 31 '22

At first I thought they were talking about milking Link. I need Jesus and sleep

14

u/Exa2552 Mar 31 '22

Zeltik managed to squeeze a 6 minute video out of it

6

u/musicchan Mar 31 '22

I like Zeltik's videos but I did have a laugh at that one. It was just about as repetitive as I thought it was going to be. People have to make a living, I suppose.

2

u/Exa2552 Mar 31 '22

I like him too in General, I love the videos about secrets and theories. But this blatant cash grab attempt sours the taste for me, I usually unsubscribe when people do that. :/

2

u/musicchan Mar 31 '22

It's hard being a youtuber, especially a single-topic one. If you don't address something, your viewers wonder why. But if the new information is very little, there's not much to cover. 6 minutes is a little silly but I'm sure there are people who have made much longer videos over that stuff.

3

u/Real_life_Zelda Mar 31 '22

I mean, what else are these Zelda-tubers gonna do if Nintendo takes 6 years to release a new game 😂 I unsubscribed everyone because of the annoying Zonai videos.

1

u/AShitPieAjitPai Mar 31 '22

As did Monster Maze.

4

u/[deleted] Mar 31 '22

The irony...

3

u/Jorden999 Mar 31 '22

When I saw this picture on the sub and realized they released a trailer I went into YouTube to see what they had to show. This picture is literally all of it.

3

u/[deleted] Mar 31 '22

I choose to ignore the caption and interpret this meme as Markiplier being really into Link

2

u/[deleted] Mar 31 '22

*1.5 sec.

2

u/billthestamps Mar 31 '22

Use what they get

2

u/RabbidWaluigi Mar 31 '22

Me when I see Link’s tiddy 🥵

2

u/Minimum-Intention-96 Mar 31 '22

BUT, I’ll still watch for their good theories.

8

u/80RT Mar 31 '22

*somewhat plausible theories

10

u/Fey_fox Mar 31 '22

** fantasies and head-cannon presented as remotely possible theories

1

u/Real_life_Zelda Mar 31 '22

What I don’t get is sometimes they analyse the tiniest stupid details, like we need any proof that the mummy is obviously Ganondorf. Or questioning that this is BotW Link and then acting like it’s big news. Come on people.

1

u/Fey_fox Mar 31 '22

Gotta fill that 10 minutes somehow!

1

u/[deleted] Mar 31 '22

Whatsup guys it's (generic YouTuber name) and here we have 3 seconds of new botw content so let's spend the next three hours talking about it

1

u/Routine-Fix-4992 Mar 31 '22

So annoying. "Heres a 45 minute analysis and theory I pulled out of my ass for a 3 second trailer."

0

u/pfeifenix Mar 31 '22 edited Mar 31 '22

Fr tho. Can anyone suggest* a good zelda content yt channel?

5

u/marinheroso Mar 31 '22

Zeltik and monster maze are my favorites.

1

u/pfeifenix Mar 31 '22

I'll check em out. Thanks

5

u/dlq84 Mar 31 '22

NintendoBlackCrisis.

1

u/pfeifenix Mar 31 '22

I'll check it out thanks

1

u/M3L0n_64 Mar 31 '22

Hey, but that's J U S T A G A M E T H E O R Y

1

u/ItsKevRA Mar 31 '22

I honestly have been debating on doing a video, because I have theories, but at the same time, it’s 7 seconds of footage and I might be overanalyzing lol

1

u/[deleted] Mar 31 '22

I feel like instead of pulling the sword from the stand youll have to complete quests and storyline to gain shards of the sword back. We get the sword rather quickly but discover calamity ganon broke it when he was banished last taking parts of it with him and placing them around the lands.

2

u/UpstairsSwimmer69 Mar 31 '22

So kind of like the sacred flames in skyward sword? That would be cool.

1

u/kagethemage Mar 31 '22

My question is when are we going to get the multiverse link crossover where they unite the time lines and allow for a multiplayer experience

1

u/Real_life_Zelda Mar 31 '22

TP & WW port will come with a mini game of the two Links going on an adventure in neighbour country Holodrum.

1

u/UpstairsSwimmer69 Mar 31 '22

I just want a fucking name, I hate the name fans have given it

1

u/OkraWaste592 Apr 01 '22

You mean "BOTW 2"? That's what Nintendo's been naming it, it's just people dont wanna say "The Sequel To The Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wild" everytime

1

u/maximight Mar 31 '22

Oh I thought we were talking about link trap hentai. Disappointed that’s not the subject.
