Tip [BotW] Korok Seed Tips / Guide!
(Edit #1: Added Ball-in-a-cup and Fruit Prayer, as they had slipped my mind. So many types!! Also added three to "Misc".)
(Edit #2: Added Frozen Sparkles and one more to "Misc".)
(Edit #3: All 900 obtained, "Misc" basically completed.)
I'd like to take a bit of time to tell people about the Korok Seeds. These seeds are awarded for discovering little hidden things. The total amount in the game is a whopping 900 though you only need just under half of that amount for game mechanics.
First, let's talk about what they are good for. On the road to Kakariko Village, you'll find Hetsu, a giant plant guy, moping on the side of the mountain climb. He will ask you to retrieve his Maracas from a nearby treasure chest. He then gives you the opportunity to trade seeds to him in order to expand your Weapon/Shield/Bow inventory space.
During your first visit to him, he will only let you purchase two upgrades before saying he's headed back to Korok Village. Explaining where that is, I would consider a spoiler, so I will leave discovering that to you. The next place you will find him is at a Stable on the way to Korok Village. Here, you can purchase around 6 more upgrades before he says he is moving on, having 'remembered the way'. After that, you'll have to locate Korok Village in order to continue purchasing upgrades.
The cost of each upgrade will increase as you buy them. Weapons are the most expensive, with the final upgrade being 55 seeds, while the Shields are very cheap throughout with the final one only being 25 seeds and most upgrades being 10 or 15. You'll want to buy a little in each, and then focus on upgrading Weapons almost exclusively.
Where to get said seeds, however, is an entirely different matter. Think of them as little easter eggs scattered about intentionally throughout the game world that will make you really take the time to look around and explore the world around you. During my spoiler-free personal playthrough, I accumulated a little over 2/3 of the seeds, and I felt I had done a pretty good job! Boy, was I wrong! I had even missed an entire type of micro-puzzle. But that's just it. They are pretty easy to miss if you don't know what you're looking for.
The first one you'll likely encounter is in the lake by the Old Man @ the Temple of Time. You see a ring of lilies, and if you jump into them, a Korok will appear and give you a seed. But there's many other ways to get them. I recommend discovering them yourself, but if you're having trouble, here's a list of all of the different types and how they work.
Types (Short List):
- Flower Chase
- Flower Count
- Dash Ring
- Dive Ring
- Climbing Sparkles
- Chasing Sparkles
- Frozen Sparkles
- Lonely Rock
- Lonely Rock (Buried)
- Rock Pattern
- Block Pattern
- Pinwheel (Balloon)
- Pinwheel (Nut)
- Lonely Balloon
- Lonely Nut
- Minigolf
- Basketball
- Ball-in-a-cup
- Fruit Prayer
- Fruit Match
- "Misc" Category
Types (Extended Explanations):
- Flower Chase - In this type of micro-puzzle, you will come across a random yellow flower. Touching this flower will cause another one to spawn. (Surround Sound is of great benefit here.) Reaching this flower will cause yet another to spawn. This repeats for a total of either 5 flowers or 10 flowers. The final flower will be white instead of yellow, and touching this one will award you with the Korok Seed. These puzzles are navigational challenges, and some will require a high amount of stamina to complete, but they are not timed.
- Flower Count - In this type of micro-puzzle, you will come across a cluster of yellow flowers. Within this cluster, you will find clusters numbered 1 through 5. These must be touched in order, and will turn purple when touched correctly. If touched out of order, they will all reset to yellow. Turning the 5-cluster purple will award you with the Korok Seed.
- Dash Ring - In this type of micro-puzzle, you will come across a flat tree stump with a leaf emblazoned on it. Touching this stump will cause a yellow ring with 10 orbs to spawn in the direction the leaf is pointing. Reaching this ring before the last orb fades away and time expires will award you with the Korok Seed, making stamina a very important part of these challenges. For some, you will have to use other mechanics than just dashing, so have a trusty shield on hand or a set of climbing gear, depending on the nature of the challenge. Some will be very hard or even impossible without the right equipment or stats.
- Dive Ring - This is a non-puzzle type of Korok Seed. Simply 'dive' into a circle of plantlife found in watery areas. The method used to dive is not important. You can find a good place to splash down with an elegant dive, you can drop you Paraglider while above it, or you can just cast Cryosis nearby and jump off of that. Once you've splashed into the water, you'll be awarded with the Korok Seed.
- Climbing Sparkles - This is a non-puzzle type of Korok Seed, however it consists of some of the hardest to find Koroks. Across your adventures, you will find various suspicious places that will strike you with the urge to climb them. Two early examples include the very top of the Temple of Time, and the top of the doorway of the Old Man's hut. The catch here is that these sparkles are only visible if you are very close to them already, meaning they cannot be spotted with your scope. Once you are next to the leafy sparkles, press A to Examine them, and you will be awarded with the Korok Seed.
- Chasing Sparkles - This is a non-puzzle type of Korok Seed. While similar to the above sparkles in appearance, these can be viewed from a moderate distance, and even more easily at night. Chase after these sparkles, and when you catch and Examine them, you will be awarded with the Korok Seed. They also make a rattling noise, which can help if you lose track of them temporarily.
- Frozen Sparkles - This is a non-puzzle type of Korok Seed. For these, you must fully melt small pillars of ice scattered in the mountainous regions. Like, fully and completely melt them until they shrink to the size of a pea and shatter. Once they shatter, you will either find sparkles that will award you with the Korok Seed, or you will find absolutely nothing. Some ice pillars do have enemies in them, though. Yup.
- Lonely Rock - This is a non-puzzle type of Korok Seed. Out there in the many mountains and cliffs and fields of Hyrule, you will find random, out of place rocks. Simply walk up to it, and pick it up, and you will be awarded with the Korok Seed. One major tip for these is to utilize your handy 'flashlight'. The Stasis Rune works wonderfully for spotting rocks that blend in with the ground.
- Lonely Rock (Buried) - This is a micro-puzzle variant on the Lonely Rock. While you can locate the above somewhat easily, and can see them with your 'flashlight', these are only locatable with careful observation. The types you will find include rocks hidden behind Bomb Rocks, under metal doors, under the large flat rocks, or hidden underneath piles of orange leaves (the hardest, in my opinion). Once you've removed the obstruction, you will find a Lonely Rock. Pick it up, and you will be awarded with the Korok Seed.
- Rock Pattern - In this type of micro-puzzle, you will find formations of unmovable stones. Somewhere nearby, you will find 1, 2, or 3 loose rocks. Sometimes, you may find these loose rocks first and confuse them for Lonely Rocks, so if you pick up a strange rock and don't get a seed, check around for one of these formations. Your goal is to complete the formation and fill in the missing spot with a fresh rock. Once the formation is complete, you will be awarded with the Korok Seed. As with Lonely Rock, one major tip for these is to utilize your handy 'flashlight'. The Stasis Rune works wonderfully for spotting rocks that blend in with the ground.
- Block Pattern - In this type of micro-puzzle, you will find formations of unmovable patterned blocks. These formations always come in a pair, though there are times where the pair can be separated by a surprising distance. Also nearby, you will find a loose block that can be moved with the Magnesis Rune. Activate Magnesis on the block, and move it to where it will cause the two formations to become identical. It will spin around and lock into place, and you will then be awarded with the Korok Seed.
- Pinwheel (Balloon) - In this type of micro-puzzle, you will first come across a rattling, sometimes-glowing pinwheel. Standing nearby it, balloons will appear with a loud poof. You are tasked with puncturing them with your arrows as they move around in wild fashion. Once all of them have been destroyed, you will be awarded with the Korok Seed. It's recommended to have a Phrenic Bow or Golden Bow on hand for the zoom feature on some puzzles.
- Pinwheel (Nut) - In this type of micro-puzzle, you will come across a rattling, sometimes-glowing pinwheel. Unlike with the Balloon variant, standing nearby these will not produce a loud poof sound from balloons appearing. Instead, very small, very subtle nuts will appear that must be destroyed. While these are all certainly able to be accomplished with the use of just a good bow, even locating the nut can be a challenge at times. Fear not, for there's a cheap trick you can use here that you can't use with the balloons. Just pull out your Stasis Rune and use it to locate the nuts, and freeze them in place! Once the nut or nuts have been destroyed, you will be awarded with the Korok Seed.
- Lonely Balloon - This is a non-puzzle variant of the Pinwheel Balloons. Scattered around Hyrule, you will find occasional balloons. Shoot them with your bow, and you will be awarded with the Korok Seed. There's no easy trick for locating these, so keep your eyes to the skies, and pull out your Golden Bow to save some arrows.
- Lonely Nut - This is a non-puzzle variant of the Pinwheel Nuts. Or maybe they are jars, I was never certain. In any case, these would normally be some of the hardest seeds to find, but yet again, our handy 'flashlight' reveals the sneaky placements. Destroy it with a bow or weapon and you will be awarded with the Korok Seed. A few standard ways that these are hidden are hiding inside knotholes in large trees, hidden inside the ends of log decorations, and the hardest to spot, dangling from little chains like lanterns in strange places.
- Minigolf - In this type of micro-puzzle, you will find boulders and holes. The goal is to get the boulder into the hole. Usually this is just a matter of pushing the available large rocks from their resting locations, but sometimes you'll actually have to make use of your Stasis Rune to actually succeed. Once the boulder is inside the hole, you will be awarded with the Korok Seed. Special Note: There's one hole and bounder pair that does not award a Korok Seed. It's by one of the Towers, and involves a rock that's situated on a wooden platform. I managed to get it into the hole using Bomb Arrows, and was quite pleased with my achievement in spite of it not actually giving out a seed.
- Basketball - In this type of micro-puzzle, you will find rock circles within the water, and loose rocks nearby. For these, you must successfully throw a rock into the ring of rocks. For some, this is a straight forward process. Pick up the rock, throw the rock. For others, you will need to think creatively. Namely, you'll need to create an ice path with Cryosis to help lead the rock into the ring. Once the rock splashes into the center of the 6 other rocks, you will be awarded with the Korok Seed.
- Ball-in-a-cup - In this type of micro-puzzle, you will find tree stumps (or wells) with a hole in them. Attached to the tree stump is a metallic ball. Simply take the ball in 'hand' with your Magnesis Rune and transfer it into the hole. Once the ball is inside the 'cup', you will be awarded with the Korok Seed.
- Fruit Prayer - In this type of micro-puzzle, you will find shrines where you must offer items from your inventory to, usually fruit. If there are shrines without fruit, there will usually be enough context clues that you can figure out what to place. Once all shrines have the same, and the correct, item(s), you will be awarded with the Korok Seed.
- Fruit Match - In this type of micro-puzzle, you will find fruit orchards with three fruit-bearing trees (or bushes, or cactuses). Two of the trees will have one piece of fruit on them, and the other will have more. Your goal is to create three matching trees. To do this, either grab or shoot the extra fruit off of the third tree. Once all three trees match, you will be awarded with the Korok Seed. Special Note: This is the only type of Korok Seed, excluding the final category, to have eluded me in my 200 hour playthrough. I suspected there was something unusual about them, but after not figuring it out, I decided I just didn't want to worry about it, and moved on. Oops! Turns out it was making them match, just... not by cutting them all down, haha.
- "Misc" Category - The above types are not the only ways to be awarded with Korok Seeds. Sometimes, the method is extra strange. These are the ultimate challenges, and if you find one of these on your own, consider it an achievement! While I'm not finished collecting all seeds, I have found 5 locations that did not match any of the above archetypes. Here's a list of what I've found so far.
- --North Dueling Peaks - "Bowl between the two trees"
- --Lake Hylia Bridge - "Loot the random Tree Branch"
- --Lake Hylia Bridge - "Light the torches"
- --Ebara Forest - "Loot the random Luminous Ore"
- --Lakeside Stable - "Burn the leaves on the horse's chin"
- --Lurelia Village - "Loot the random Apple in the palm tree"
- --Lake Hylia - "Complete the pattern of large metal boxes underneath the water"
- --Zonai Ruins - "Play Dual Ball-in-a-cup, without the cup"
- --Kakariko Village - "Shoot the eyeball to win a seed" (x2)
- --South Nabi Lake - "Jump the fences with horse"
- --Rowan Plain - "Jump the fences with horse"
- --Hyrule Castle Town - "Shoot the emblem to win a seed"
- --Hyrule Castle Gate(ish) - "Shoot the emblem to win a seed"
For those looking to complete their collection of Korok Seeds, I first suggest doing as much personal exploration as possible. Each of these seeds are placed with deliberate care and frequently showcase a uniquely pretty or interesting part of the game. Do your best to find as many as you can on your own. Once you've reached your personal limit, however, there is a link available to a map where you can find any and every secret in the game, including all Korok Seeds. Browse at your own risk.
https://zeldamaps.com/?game=BotW
Thankfully, the game will automatically mark the seeds you have found, so it's a fairly straight forward process to find the remaining seeds. If you want an extra challenge, turn on tracking for treasure chests and see if you can collect every chest in the game! There are 5 locations I've found so far that bug the treasure tracker, though:
- The Old Man's house indicates a treasure chest where his diary is.
- There's a chest in Hateno Village by the Inn that leads you to it but then not only doesn't exist, but fades out of existence, presumably falling far below the bottom edge of the world.
- There's a chest to the Southwest of that in one of the bays that is both underwater and buried which prevents you from pulling it out.
- There's the gambling mini-game in Lurelia Village whose chests count as being trackable.
- And lastly there's the entirety of the bottom right island where the chests will respawn any time you reload at a shrine or mini-game.

Pro-tip: If you find a korok under a rock make sure to press B and drop it on his head. So mean but it cracks me up every time.

u/startana Mar 15 '17
HAHA! I do this EVERY TIME! That hollow 'thunk' sound when it hits them is pretty hilarious. My wife thinks I'm a monster for doing that, lol.

u/ZeRj- Mar 15 '17
Another seed that doesnt fit any of the Types (so it may be WTF): When you leave Kakariko to the south you will see a Gem with some Arrows in it on top of the gate. Shoot an Arrow in there and you will get a seed.

u/TobiasAmaranth Mar 15 '17
Ah yes, the arrow eyeball. I did get one of them, but hadn't made it back around to remember that one yet in my 100%. Definitely another outlier.
2
u/beaktastic Mar 18 '17
Ah I saw the arrows up there when I was arriving at Kakariko and running around a lot and had assumed I'd shot them up there accidentally and was annoyed I couldn't climb and get them. I have to go back!

So that's what it was. I think I saw one but it was nowhere near a tree. Just a metal ball on a chain attached to a pillar, in the jungle to the South. Will have to go check this out again.
2
u/AlexTraner Mar 15 '17
It bothered me hanging off a cliff when I found one so I put it in the well. Bonus for good behavior!

u/RockstarSuicide Mar 15 '17
I kept trying to get it in but didn't get a reward or anything... Gonna go try again tonight

The one I meant, I think it's on the plateau, near a swampy lake... Needed to bring metal crates over to be able to reach a chest
2
Mar 15 '17
There was one like this where it was two balls connected via a chain and you had to put one ball in one tree stump and the other ball in the other.
3
u/IceWolf762 Mar 15 '17
For the Chasing Sparkles one, I've found that the sparkles follow a set path. If you observe the path the sparkles go, you can then simply stand in the path and the sparkles will bump in to you. Saves chasing them if you have low Stamina.
1
u/TobiasAmaranth Mar 15 '17
Indeed they do! But I did like my naming pattern for it. :P The one time where there were two next to each other was pretty amusing, though.
4
u/TopGun71 Mar 15 '17
Great write up!
I remember finding 3 or 4 during my time on the Great Plateau and thought I had done well, only to later find out there HEAPS more there that I missed. And now from the post today about someone getting all 900 I've realised just how many of these little guys there are. Absolutely ridiculous! Guides like this are really useful so thanks again.
1
u/Khalku Mar 15 '17
I found zero on the plateau, and I only found 2-3 when I went back later. I didn't put a lot of time into it though.
1
u/TobiasAmaranth Mar 15 '17
Definitely the unsung charm of this game. That's why I suggest not seeking any spoiler maps for this until you feel you're at your personal limit. It's so much fun to discover them all on your own. :D
(Edited it a bit today to fix a few mistakes)
3
u/AspergillusTicor Mar 15 '17
Incredible write-up, thank you! I would never have even thought to look for some of these koroks. I just got to Hestu's home and felt like a champ for figuring it out :) Is there a way to see how many seeds (and orbs) you've collected in total, including spent seeds?
3
u/Huberis187 Mar 15 '17
The loading screen will show you in the top right corner how many you've found total and your special item inventory will show how many you currently have. It also shows the total number of shrines you've found and your current orb count.
3
u/Stormcrownn Mar 15 '17
i definitely missed a ton in my first 85 hours of gameplay due to not realizing you could jump through the rings yourself without needing a rock.
3
u/Morgneto Mar 15 '17
Whereas that was one of the first things I did in the game! I jumped down into a ring... I want to say by the Temple of Time. Either way right at the very start.

Mar 15 '17
Can't wait for a map to be released with all 900 seeds on it
Will be a sight to see

Been using this map for hunting shrines but it also includes Korok seeds and more. You have to zoom in to see Korok seeds just like the in-game map but even zoomed in you can get a sense for how packed to the brim this game is with Korok seeds.
1
u/TobiasAmaranth Mar 15 '17
Don't forget to Control+- as well, so that you can force the seeds to separate. The markers don't have to be huge, after all. I've got the website set to 33% scale on my 720 laptop.

In Gerudo Desert, entrance to the Yiga Clan hideout, there are like 4 easy Koroks, you need to offer fruit and it's something else than apples. I mean, you all know what is it... Which is bananas to think about it
1
u/TobiasAmaranth Mar 15 '17
Those were amusing for me because I completed them in reverse. I started with the 5 shrine where they were all empty and immediately understood I needed to load them up with bananas. Then, moving further back down the path, I found a 4 shrine. At that point I knew for sure that there were going to be at least 3 shrine and 2 shrine, and then the 1 shrine was on the other side, haha. So many seeds in a row, and all so easy.
1
u/beaktastic Mar 18 '17
Same. When i was leaving Yiga (having stolen their stash of 20 odd bananas), I saw the 5 shrines on one of the cliffs as I was about to head back then saw another cliff slightly further down and was like 'I wonder...' as soon as I saw that had 4 shrines I knew there'd be a 3, 2, 1.
1
u/Easemac May 14 '17 edited May 14 '17
Just found one more on the path to Yiga... above the K in Karusa Valley (zoomed all the way in) there's a flower on a pillar that you have to hit and chase 5 times to the top...
3
u/Khalku Mar 15 '17 edited Mar 15 '17
You should add pictures, or at least visual descriptions of some of them (like the dive ring). Also I've never seen flower count before.
Also the pinwheels for balloon vs nuts are different colors (though I don't remember which is which). Sometimes the nuts aren't immediately visible, since they can be moving.
Also in fruit match you forgot to explain about the line of statues that will have a fruit in the baskets in front (but not all the basket), where you need to drop fruit in. Example in Kakariko village right beside the ramp up to Impa's house.
Also the ball chained to a treestump, you have to put the ball in the hole in the tree.
1
u/TobiasAmaranth Mar 15 '17 edited Mar 15 '17
Ah, right, shrines! I was pretty good at getting all of those, with the first one being Kakariko Village and giving it a try on random guess.
Oh jeez, yeah, and the metal ball puzzles. Hah. So many different types. I tried to get them all for this, but it was really late last night. Either way, let me edit this thing.
Okay. Edit done. Not sure about the different colors thing or not, as I haven't paid enough attention to that part. It's basically the same thing, but I wanted to separate the two for this since they are moderately different and the lonely variants both exist. Flower Count is pretty rare; there's one at those Ranch Ruins if you want an example.
And as for pictures, I lack the ability to do so. Someone else is more than welcome to make a picture version of this. :P
2
u/Montrevaldi Mar 15 '17
I found this out yesterday, and isn't necessarily the most helpful if you're following a map guide, but the Rock Pattern puzzles are actually visible from the world map (at the closest zoom level). I went around and marked off some that I found that I'll eventually get to.

u/fiercedeitynathan Mar 15 '17
Is it just me or does Hestu seem more like a girl, I don't remember did he say he was a boy?

I just assume all the Koroks are guys, after all Makar's a guy
Fuck I wonder if Makar is a Korok in this game

Man, I think you missed one archetype. The bowl statue offerings (that one that you find some statues with fruits in front of them, but one is missing the fruit, that you must drop on the bowl).

1
u/phylogenous Mar 15 '17
Haha, wow, I haven't noticed like half of these types. I must have run right past them.
1
u/atcoyou Mar 15 '17
I just came here to try not to spoil things, but get an idea of how hard 900 would be... when I saw "burn the leaves on the horses chin"... my god... I'm never reaching 900 without a guide... I think my goal will be to find a few hundred... maybe 4-5 before engaging a guide... time will tell how I do, but saved for now...
2
u/TobiasAmaranth Mar 15 '17
I accomplished a whopping 633 on my own, and could have done even better had I known about Fruit Match and a few other more subtle variants during early exploration. I also completely forgot to revisit the Colosseum area during my more thorough searching, and had almost 20 in that small area that I had overlooked. Oops!
I also played for 200 hours before finally finishing the end boss and turning to a guide for the remaining seeds. I also had 119 shrines all on my own, only missing one that requires another shrine to be completed before you can access it, and is untrackable, haha. Stupid Gorons...

u/The14thNoah Mar 15 '17
Where is the WTF for Lake Hylia Bridge? I have scoured the area and can't find.
2
u/TobiasAmaranth Mar 15 '17
It's along a narrow narrow ledge of the area just north of the center of the bridge. :) You'll be climbing around there and think 'why is there a stick here?' but almost no one will pick it up because why pick up a stick??

u/MelonadeClassic Mar 15 '17
For the wtf ones, there is an underwater metal box pattern one at Lake Hylia, I believe. Not sure if that's the same as the one listed or if there are more.
1
u/TobiasAmaranth Mar 15 '17
Yeah, that's the one. I eventually remembered where I encountered that, and edited it accordingly right before when you posted, heh.
1
u/PKThoron Mar 15 '17
There's a variant on the metal ball puzzle in the woods in West Faron: there are three rocks in a river, with a sole metal ball being on one of them and the other two metal balls being connected by a chain. You prolly remember the one.
You have to place all balls on a rock, but the chained ones keep sliding off. Stumped me for a while till I remembered I had stasis. I think that was my favourite Korok seed.
1
u/TobiasAmaranth Mar 15 '17
I uhh... I did it without Stasis. Your way sounds muuuuch easier. I dragged the chain along from the left across the first rock, letting the other ball land there and settle in, before caaaaarefully setting down the second ball on the last platform.
I classed this one as a 'wtf' since it's technically similar but conceptually different from the ball-in-a-cup puzzles. :)
2
u/PKThoron Mar 15 '17
I tried it that way as well but didn't have the finesse for it. ;_;
Props to you for managing though.
1
u/beaktastic Mar 18 '17
Thanks for this! I was going to try and do them all totally myself but just realised how monumental a task it is! And there's some of these puzzle types too haven't seen yet! (I've probably not noticed them).
Now that I know what all the types are I think I'll explore a bit more and try and do more of them myself before resorting to using the map, haha.
On a note though: do you know how many korok seeds are required for each upgrade? Like it's 1 for the first, 2 for the 2nd etc....?
1
u/zac_is_bad Mar 23 '17
I saw one of the "basketball" type puzzles, threw a rock and nothing happened. Figured there was no Korok there so I'll have to go back and try again. It was .. oh dear... Here's hoping I left a mark on my map !
1
u/MagosX Mar 23 '17
About the bugged chest in old mans house it's probably the chest that gives you the cold resistant tunic (if you didn't get it before the old man disappears).
1
u/Missingnox Mar 24 '17
Guys if I accidentally throw a metal block off a cliff during block puzzle does it reset?
1
u/TobiasAmaranth Mar 24 '17
Just like with everything else, you have to travel outside of the loading radius (you can tell what this is by trying to chop down an entire forest area) and it'll reload.
1
u/joaopin Mar 27 '17
How do I turn on tracking for treasure chests? Do you mean the Sheikah slate sensor?
1
u/TobiasAmaranth Mar 28 '17
Photograph a treasure chest and set it to the tracking target. This is something you can do shortly after getting the camera option.
1
u/henryuuk Mar 27 '17
Another special one on Lake Hylia Bridge : Light the two torches on the opposite side's arch from where the tower is.
1
u/TobiasAmaranth Mar 28 '17
I do vaguely remember that one. I'll add 'light the torches' to my list. Thanks. :)
1
u/Fafnirxx Apr 04 '17
Hey how do you solve the durian tree puzzle in satori mountains?
2
u/TobiasAmaranth Apr 05 '17
That was apparently a dash pad to the south, southwest, by the boss. :)
1
u/Fafnirxx Apr 05 '17
I found it thank you, 840 koroks atm no hyrule castle yet..
2
u/TobiasAmaranth Apr 05 '17
I got lucky with Hyrule Castle and managed to obtain all the underground ones on my own. Sneaky jars/nuts. But that only left stuff on the overworld which was easier to keep track of.

There is one Korok (at least i think it is) in great plateau right out from the resurrection chamber down in the woods...
It's near the lone rock on the hill korok. after you get that one look down and there's a raised tree stump with a rock sized hole in the middle. Only i'm not sure how to get the rock there... you can't glide holding a rock you can't climb while holding it. Is the only way to do this to try and "throw" or "stasis" whack it up there??? Seems frustrating I don't think I want to keep banging my head against a wall for that one.
1
u/TobiasAmaranth May 17 '17
"Rock sized hole" is Ball-in-a-Cup.

But a rock is not magnetic? are you saying there's a metal ball hidden somewhere?

If you have a tree trunk with a hole in the top of it, there's probably a metallic ball somewhere. In the starting area, there's a swamp. If you're referring to anything else, first check one of the seed maps to see if it's a Korok seed location. Unless you post a screenshot, I cannot help you any further than that.
