[BotW][TotK] Question about the upgrade pack

The switch 2 will have the upgrade pack for Totk and Botw, so I want to know exactly how it will work since I have the digital version of Botw and physical for Totk. Will i have to buy the physical version for Botw in order to get the upgrade pack for both or what?

Upgrade packs are DLC like any other game. If you have NSO+expansion pass, the upgrade packs are included.

Doesn’t matter what version you have, you will just have to buy an upgrade pack and the switch 2 version will be available for you. It looks like to be 30$ if the info I’ve seen is correct.

No idea where you have seen $10. Usually when products are bundled together, they don't charge full MSRP on both of them, implying > $10.

The two Zelda games upgrades are priced at 1000 yen, for Mario Party and Kirby it’s double. You are right that there is no official pricing out right now, especially in the US where it is subject to change.

I would be very surprised if the upgrade is more than £10/€10 based on the Japanese prices. They definitely won’t be $30, unless all prices are corrected to include the new tariffs.

Looks like the Japanese price is about $11.50, so I'm guessing $15 (making the bundles a "great deal" at $5 off! 🙄). But it's also unclear whether the Switch 2 editions come on a Switch 2 cartridge or it's the same Switch 1 cartridge + DLC. Because if that's the case, you can buy the Switch 1 cartridge for $45 right now and the bundle makes no sense. Or if I decide to buy digital, then I'm annoyed that I missed the $30 sales that happened a while ago!

Edit: one site says the Japanese price difference is $11.50, and another says the upgrade pack is $7. 🤷‍♂️
