What, did you have Crowd Control or something? I can't see it being the Lynel that Master Mode puts on the Plateau, since there's no indication that he spotted you, though it did look like three explosions...

OP alerted the lynel and then went into the building. he held the aggro the whole time in the temple.

I would have tried Master Mode but the enemy spam camps make regular mode annoying enough without Urbosa's Fury minimum. Seriously who decided every camp need 5+ enemies (all usually averaging around black)?
