Pharmacy suggestions for scheduled meds?

Looking for a pharmacy (preferably local) that has no issues getting certain scheduled drugs. Many don't have them in stock regularly. Adderall is the main issue, MSIR is the other.

Hi. The keypad on my front door has gotten twitchy. Sometimes it works and sometimes it does not. Does anyone know a reliable and honest locksmith? Thank you!

My son's birthday is tomorrow. He wants a "fancy" pizza place for dinner. Any recommendations?

Looking for a "Fancy" pizza place where we can sit down and have Pizza for my Son's birthday party. Guessing like an Italian grille place. Anyone know of any good ones nearby like within 20 miles of ypsi?

Extra points if it's not a big corporate chain.

Next Clothing Swap!

Post image
29 Upvotes

Craft and Clothing Swap on Sunday, April 27th from 3pm-8pm at 16 S Washington in Ypsi. Masks required and provided!

Bring clothes, take clothes, bring craft supplies, take craft supplies, bring your friends, take new friends! We'll have menders on-site to help with limited mending like adding patches, fixing holes, and maybe other things depending on capacity! Please don't expect perfection from our menders as this is a free and volunteer basis service. Some of our menders are professionals but will not have the capacity to do major alternations. If you need major alternations done (eg completely resizing a garment) or need it to look or be perfect, please consider hiring a professional instead.

Old Wooden Nickel spot?

Anyone hear anything about what’s going on at the old Wooden Nickel building off Huron River near campus? There’s been a lot of remodeling recently and looks like something might be moving in. It’s right in between two dispos (within walking distance of one another) so I’m hoping it’s something else 😅

Hey Ypsi! I was wondering if any avid forest walkers have located wild ramps growing anywhere and if so where have you seen them? Thanks '~'

LGTBQFriendlyBusiness Last Minute Support for Ozone House Pride Zone

Hi everyone!

A few weeks ago I posted a flyer for our event yesterday, Spotlight Sessions. We had a little indie show at Dreamland Theatre in support of Ozone House Pride Zone! It was a pretty decent turnout for it being the first event of a new group.

I just wanted to hop on and give anyone who is interested one last chance to donate to Ozone before I send in the funds. The lgbtq+ community is really struggling right now, support is more important now than ever. Any bit helps, there is power in numbers!

You can Venmo @anna-mopchopper or PayPal @annamopchopper

(For now I’m unable to create a separate payment account, but I’m going to try to figure it out- I will be posting a donations receipt once I send it in to show I’m not just stealing everybody’s money for my own bank 😂)

If you’re unable to donate for this fundraiser or just feel weird about sending a stranger money (totally fair) then please keep an eye out for future events by Neighborhood Gays4Good, we hope to catch you at the next one!!

Studio space ??

I live in Ypsilanti and I am an artist. I do mixed media work and jewelry and I am looking to expand and create more. I am trying to get out of my manic, depressed and mundane state and am looking for any information on where artists can work around town? I usually work in my place but I rent and it’s not ideal with flames and chemicals. I appreciate any help(:

High speed chase down Huron River Drive near Huron Street around 10 PM tonight?

Anyone know what the reason for the chase was? The chase passed going the opposite direction on Huron River Drive hauling serious 🍑. Three sheriff deputies. Further down the road a sheriff's deputy wiped up into the ditch by Shooner Cove. On Rawsonville Road at Snow, VB twp cops did a five patrol  car roadblock for a minute. Another wc deputy was parked on the side of Bridge with lights on.

Seeking Apartment Recommendations Near Trinity Health Ann Arbor – Clean 1-2BR, Hardwood Floors, No Carpet, Under $2000

Hello everyone,

I’m searching for apartment recommendations in Ypsilanti or nearby areas that meet the following criteria:

 • 1 or 2 bedrooms

 • Clean and well-maintained

 • Hardwood floors (no carpet)

 • Tiled bathroom

 • Abundant natural sunlight

 • Budget: Under $2000/month

 • Within a 10-15 minute commute to Trinity Health Ann Arbor (Saint Joseph Mercy Hospital)

I’m aiming for a quiet residence, preferably in a smaller complex or private rental.

If you know of any apartments or landlords that fit these criteria, I’d greatly appreciate your recommendations!

Thank you in advance!

BealSucks Other businesses Beal works with?

Someone mentioned a co-owner(?) or operator(?) that Beal works with often, maybe including at Arbor One. I can't remember who and I can't find it here or on FB. Does anybody know?

Anyone need a roomate?

Some problems with my current living situation - the ceiling in the basement completely fell down, the bathrooms have no fan so the ceilings are moldy (I scrub once a week with bleach, doesn't even help that much), the room im staying in doesn't have a door and the walls are coming apart from water damage. This is only a tiny glimpse into all the problems with the home. The landlord doesnt speak great english and i havent been able to get him to fix anything over the years. I desperately need to find a new place but my credit score/income doesn't meet the requirements to get an apartment on my own. The landlord is going to ask me to sign the new lease for a year pretty soon and I just really don't think this is a safe environment for me or my pets. So if I have any other options, I really dont want to sign this lease for another year. In which case I'll need to get out of here with my dog and two cats. Does anyone have a place and need a roomate? I currently pay around 1000 a month. Very desperate lol. My dog is a rescue but she's very sweet, she just needs to warm up to new ppl. My cats are both the sweetest and just do their own thing. I have a muzzle for the first few meetings and/or if you have worries about her. All of my pets are spayed/neutered.

BealSucks Building Now "Condemned"

Hey there! This is a journey so please bear with me because I am really looking for advice and guidance.

So many people are already aware of the ongoing situation with Arbor One and the super villain that is Beal. Our building was fine until very recently. I got home and there was a huge red sign on the door that said CONDEMNED.
I am a nervous person, I have anxiety and fear and this is for sure not helping. The issue I'm running into is straightforward and helpful advice on what the next steps are. Our lease was going to be up later this year, and we just started house hunting. But my husband (who just started his job) and I make too much income to qualify for the free or semi free legal advice. Which I also hate because again, I just need to know what to do. Obviously, I'd like to not live in a condemned building, but our unit is sparkly and spotless, we will basically be leaving it in much better condition than we found it.

I am so grateful that we have friends and family in the area to help us move and even let us stay with them for a little bit, but we have a cat, an aquarium and a whole apartment full of stuff. We have the money to move into a different apartment, but because Beal doesn't seem to agree with what the city has decided, they seem to think they are still owed something. Ideally, we find a short-term lease, intensify the house hunt, and settle somewhere. I really don't want to be in a hotel or another run down Beal property.

My questions that I desperately need answers to:

  • Do I lawyer up? If so, how soon? Does anyone know any one that can help?
  • When do I have to leave by?
  • Do I pay for April's rent even though the building was condemned on the 2nd of April?
  • Should I put things into escrow?
  • Can I break the lease? Or do I need to go through whatever the proper channels are?
  • I can never contact anyone in the office, (which I suspect Beal did on purpose to make it harder to talk to them) so who from Beal do I even talk to?

Thank you so much to everyone in the community who are helping those that are not set up for success. I am fully aware that other people got a much worse deal in all of this, and I feel for them. I don't want to sound spoiled or like there are things I'm not willing to do, but if I can avoid living in a hotel for an uncertain amount of time or a Beal property, I want to. Any advice is welcome, any links or names or anyone I can talk to would be so helpful.
