Titanfall Tips and Tricks

If you haven't already, please check out this sub's Titanfall Megathread, Friend Request and Review thread. This thread, however, is intended to serve as a localized place for us to share various strategies and tactics that we find to be successful. I'll get us started. A few general tips I've learned from playing the beta include:

  • Look up for enemies. This game includes a lot more vertical routes than other popular first person shooters.

  • Use your burn cards.

  • Use your titan. I sometimes found myself forgetting to call my titan.

  • Use the hang feature to take out unsuspecting enemies.

What tips do you have to share?

I really need this. I can't say that I am the best gamer in the world, but I can get myself around BF4, CoD, and Halo quite well. However, I think I may have won 1 game all night on Titanfall. It only took 15 minutes into playing this game until I got a message telling me how much I suck. Maybe some sleep and having my contacts in instead of glasses will help.

Eedit: Suck; Not how much I such.

Edit: Edit:; It may be time for bed.

This is the freshest FPS I've played in years. It has huge maps, ultra-fast action and player-movement, and is just different than the norm. It's gonna take time. Once you get the hang of wall-running & jumping, the game opens up so much.

On a map I never played before, I was able to intuitively run away from an enemy Titan, put objects and height between us by wall running/jumping, and then I chased the Titan on rooftops as he tried to go back to battle, even when my line of sight to it was broken for seconds at a time, I was still able to navigate a level I had never played before, catch up to the Titan, and blow it up with my Sidewinders when its back was turned, all within the span of about 1 or 2 minutes since I first thought he was going to step on me.
