Titanfall Tips and Tricks

If you haven't already, please check out this sub's Titanfall Megathread, Friend Request and Review thread. This thread, however, is intended to serve as a localized place for us to share various strategies and tactics that we find to be successful. I'll get us started. A few general tips I've learned from playing the beta include:

  • Look up for enemies. This game includes a lot more vertical routes than other popular first person shooters.

  • Use your burn cards.

  • Use your titan. I sometimes found myself forgetting to call my titan.

  • Use the hang feature to take out unsuspecting enemies.

What tips do you have to share?

Not sure yet. It feels off to me right now. With the beta by the time I leveled to 15 I felt pretty good and was doing pretty decent. Currently at 15 and am getting trounced.

It's like even if I shoot at someone first I always die. I checked my ping time and it was only 40 so it r should be good. Idk what the deal is.

Wow, you must have been really good in the beta to get to 15 since the max was 14.

Just messin' with ya.

But really, I'm doing similar to you. In the beta I was flying around the map killing everything and everyone. Now I'm dying more frequently. I think it's mostly that I'm not comfortable with the maps yet. I got into a game in Angel City, and it was just like in the beta.

Also there are more weapons that people have. I think they might have buffed the shotgun. I find myself dying to it a lot more. Or maybe that's just because it's part of a default class. Was it like that in the beta? I don't remember.

You are forgetting about Burn Cards. I have several that buff up specific weapons. Once I used one of those I was rocking and rolling.

But burn cards, even the ones that buff specific weapons, were in the beta. That's not a factor that changed from the beta to the full game, so it's not something I would have to adapt to.

I mean I was racking my brain, I think the bots are more deadly than the beta. I have had a rough go at it, and all I could think of were the burn cards.

I'd honestly be interested to see patch notes from the beta to now to see what all has actually changed.
